      Bought a Generac portable generator. Less that two weeks ago and its leaking fuel! So I called the customer service number and they gave me two numbers to call. When I called they both didnt help me. So Im taking it back today. Terrible customer service be careful!!!!!

      Worst customer service ever. Eight month old 50k whole home unit failed. No one near us can fix. Buyer beware.

      Installed the 14kw generac last year and the first time I needed it stopped working.The snow blows into the air vent and suffocated the engine.They told me to take out the filter and it ran for a while before stopping. It now sits frozen solid unable to turn over.The installer said he's never seen snow and wind like this before which is ridicules in ****** and was hardly snowing the first time it stopped.$12,000. Down the drain I'm beyond disappointed. I had the ******** with a portable before and was less work and more reliable for a fraction of the cost .Don't buy a Generac!!!The system made me choose 1 star which is too much.

      Controllers last about one year then must be replaced. Terrible engineering.

      Do not buy a generac. I had a 2200 watt inverter generator that is now not usable after just 1 1/2 years. Their customer service completely ignored all issues. What terrible experience. They claim you get a 2 year warranty, and then scapegoat any reason to void repairs.

      Do not buy a generac . They will not sell the software required to sevice a generator . If you count on a generac for an emergency or lofe saftey systems you will be shurly let down . There answer to an emergency was call a dealer we dont want customers working on there unit .

      Too many problems since purchase/installation of our solar/battery back-up system. I have never been satisfied or feel that the system is working, let alone, doing what I was told it is supposed to do. Found out that Generac knowingly supplied equipment to my installer (Solar Installation Group) that was bad. Since we purchased in January of 2021, the RS Snaps have failed and are still failing. These snaps are the inverters that take the charge from the panels and distribute to the house, battery and grid. SIG has been here many times and I have made many calls to Generac for engaging the Generac App to watch over the system, which is not working right now either. Unfortunately, we have been sold a lemon or just a super bad product. I would recommend to anyone looking to install solar in their home to do their homework, especially if purchasing Generac as the equipment. I thought I had done my homework when we decided to purchase this system, but have found that a better warranty is not the best option. Having a system that works is the best outcome.

      have purchased a solar system from Generac in Sept of 2020. it has not worked longer than it has. all the technicians (who have been great) have quit dealing with Generac for mostly compensation reasons. in our opinion, they are in breach of warranty. the system is not working and there seem to be no technicians to repair it.

      Generac sells a 10 year warranty for their generators that covers parts and labor. They covered my part, but not the labor which was $680. When I asked why they said the warranty only covers factory defects. How can labor qualify as a factory defect? Total **

      Just had 3 SMM modules burn out in the last 4 months. Generator is not 4 years old. Almost $1,000 in repairs. 71 year old handicapped male. Now I have no cook stove until 3rd module is replaced. 11KW unit so beware!!! Thought I was buying a quality product but I guess I was WRONG. Bought generator for safety and comfort since left leg is amputated 4 inches above knee, right knee has severe arthritis, 3 lower back operations, last with rods, clamps, and screws. Can not walk. Needed a good backup electrical system for emergencies. BOY DID I MAKE A MISTAKE!! BEEEWARRRE. Spend your money elsewhere. ENOUGH SAID.
