      March 24th, 2023 a techician came to my home to repair my ******* dryer. He told me I needed to replace three parts and that once it was done it would work for another 7 years. I called back since the dryer stopped heating again. The lady who answered was combative and told me it was a 30 day warranty and the technician told me 6 months. I can not find it anywhere on the service order and she is saying it's stated on the work order. The service agreement is very hard to read as well. I would either like a refund for $724.56 or have them come back and stand by their work!

      Said would cost 80.00 for technician to come. Must pay even if could not fix. Tech came and worked and said the problem was fixed and I paid 316.40 he said I would probably need a new gasket in the future if it started to leak which it was not doing now. About an hour after he left used the washer and it was not fixed. It was still not draining completely. Phoned the company who said that the tech. Said I needed a new gasket for an extra 387.00 to fix the problem. I don't believe I should have to pay any more than the 80.00 as he could not fix the problem and a new gasket would not fix it as well. * *** ****** ** ******* ** **** ******* *** **** *** ********* ****** * *** ****** *******

      RE: Appliance Repair Team
      I would like to add my name to the list of complainants against Appliance Repair Team. My experience with Appliance Repair Team is summarized in my correspondence to them dated 10 May 2023* * **** ** ***** ** ********* Appliance Repair Team did not respond to my correspondence, but rather retained a collections agency to demand immediate payment of some $336.05 (which was the balance of the amount they originally quoted) after they (1) had not repaired my dishwasher effectively and (2) in the process of supposed repair, broke a major component of my dishwasher, which is now unusable.

      I was told $80 was to be charged for diagnostic, and if I choose to repair, labor fee of $295 plus cost of parts will be charged.

      After taking two screws out, and being unable to take out the cover from the refrigerator due to ice buildup, the repairman notified me that the part will cost $647.29 plus labor of $295. I declined, after which he told me he will charge me $295 for “labor”, and not $80 as was agreed upon when I asked for the service call.

      The company is refusing to rectify the situation,

      I would like a refund of $215+ tax.

      My fridge was not cooling anymore. I booked a technician from this company to come and assess the issue. I was told I needed a specific part, the final number was $850 after tax. I made sure to ask if I the problem would be solved after that and I wouldn’t need something else. The technician told me the fridge would be working once the part was changed. It took over a week to get the job done. On the day of the final repair, the technician told me to wait 3 to 4hrs. I waited 4hrs but my fridge was not cooling. The second paper signed didn’t mentioned any issue. When I called their costumer service I finally talk to the manager a day later and after talking to two ***** agents. The manager told me I needed an extra part which cost $1500. I was never told I could have an issue. I asked to get the fridge assessed by another technician, which was declined. * ****** **** ******* *** * ****** *********** ****** **** ***** I would have paid the service call only if I knew it would have cost this much. For that price I could get a second fridge or new one. * *** **** ** ** ** **** *** * **** ******* ****** After reading their term and conditions, it says they should be providing another quote for extra repairs.       ** *** *** **** *******. We called Appliance Repair Team to come out and take a look at our dryer, we were told the service call was $80. We happily agreed to pay that and scheduled the appointment for the following day (May 16, 2023). When the service technician showed up we was not wearing a company shirts and was driving an unmarked sedan. He listened to our dryer for no more than 5 seconds and told me that our dryer drum was out of alignment. He then told me it would be a service fee of $285 to cover the cost of the repair, but that this includes the service call. I signed a work order to complete the repair. He mentioned it was a fast repair and would take 30 min. He also mentioned that the only reason he would not be able to complete the work was if he needed to order a part and that he would notify me if that was the case. After about 20 min he came up to let me know everything was done and that I could go and test the dryer- it sounded fixed so we went upstairs to complete the payment.
      At this time, I offered to pay in cash and I had $300. He then told me it would be an additional $214.00 this would cover the taxes and " the part he replaced". This was the first time he mentioned the part replacement or the cost of the part. I was reluctant to pay but he did not seem to care. I asked for my receipt and he told me I had to sign it first. After he left I looked up the part #'s from the packaging he left behind and the cost of the parts online were $23.00. I was extremely upset that he had just charged me $170 for a part and didn't even ask me if I was okay with that. I proceeded to call the office to complain but they did not care. They told me that I signed the invoice therefore I knew what I was charged for. They also mentioned I should have asked him to remove the part if I was unhappy. The manager hung the phone up on me and never returned my call regarding a refund. I attempted multiple times to get in contact with them and was unsuccessful.

      They came to our apartment on May 12, 2023 to "fix" our dishwasher which was not draining and leaking from the bottom.

      The initial quote was for $80 to do a service call. Upon arrival, the technician quoted us $290.00 + HST to repair the dishwasher. They also told put down a quote for a pump and assembly system for $799.00 (which I have since looked into online and the true cost would have been closer to $300.00). We did not go with this inflated price as the technician assured us that the fix that they performed would hold for at least a year and we would likely be better off getting a new dishwasher during that time. They also told us that we had to wait 6-7 hours for "adhesives to dry." We ended up paying - HST included - $327.70.

Unfortunately, the following morning I found out that the problem persisted as if the technician had never fixed anything - water not draining and leaking out of the bottom of the machine. We called in order to allow them the chance to honour the warranty and was told that we were quoted the $799.00 parts because our machine was unfixable without it. This is untrue as we were very clearly told that the repair that was done would hold for at least a year and we had to wait for adhesives to dry to test the machine which would mean that at least some work was done on our machine.

      Their service call is not $80 as stated, it is $290 + tax

      ***** ** ** ********* We had an issue with our stacked washing machine in a condominium

      1) offered to do a house call for $80 to diagnose the problem, which is promised to be included into the labour charge
      2) The technician showed up and called us to state that to do a detailed diagnosis of the problem it would be for $290. If we accept the cost of detailed diagnosis, the $80 would be included in the charge. Else, they charge $80 for a house call. We still don't understand what is included in the house call ! So we had to pay $327.70 for a diagnosis, not $80 !
      3) The technician called after 50 minutes and indicated that the Drain pump needed to be replaced, and the part would cost $425 + taxes. This also meant that the cost of the total would be estimated to be $290 + $425 + taxes = $807.95, almost the cost of a stacked washing machine. At present, the real cost of technician's 1 hour of diagnosis cost us $327.70 !

      6) I refused to pay and asked the office to give me a call. The office CSR refused to issue an invoice and wanted payment of the $327.7 without any description. She finally relented and emailed a note with their e-transfer email ID and the amount.
      7) The technician finally left an invoice with us. Strangely, the invoice was pre-made for $808 ** ** ** *** ******* *********** The technician scratched out the $808 and revised it to $327.7

      On May 11th tech came out and assessed my fridge required service on the Control Boar and Cooling System for which he charged $290. After the service was completed, he indicated that down the road I would need a seal service and compressor.

      He indicated very clearly that the service I paid for will get the fridge up and running but would most likely fail again in 3 to 6 months at which point I would need the new compressor quoted at $1,400.

      Next day the fridge was as broken as it was before the tech showed up and charged me $290.

      Customer service was of no help, they lied about the $80 assessment fee, said the labour was performed and that I chose not to order parts.
