On January 20 this company came to assess our fridge and fix the water dispenser. We were charged $541 plus tax for a part and labour that we were told would be the fix. This part is not worth even half that amount and it did not fix it. They came back to say it was something else and it would cost another $541.97 plus tax to fix this. The invoice was very vague, just stating "Housing assembly". They refused to elaborate and refused to give us the part number. After contacting the manufacturer, (**), we know that the part is only worth $105. We refused to pay for another part and do not feel comfortable further dealing **** ********. They were not clear about anything and were not helpful. Now we either have to call in another company or just replace it at this point. We are seeking at least half of the amount back.Initial Complaint

I contacted the A Team Appliance Repair for a microwave issue back in Dec. The first technician came out on Dec 11th and wouldn’t take my visa to pay for the initial visit. And then when I contacted the company again, I had to EMT them money to come out. That should have been my first clue.
Another technician came out on Dec 13 and said they needed to order a part.
Fine. Ordered part on that day. Came back Tues Dec 31th for installation. Almost 3 weeks? Why does it take that long.
Then, they came, said they needed a “special tool” to install the whatever and TOOK THE MICROWAVE with them.
I called them almost every day since then to find out what is going on and why its taking so long to get the microwave back.
It was finally re-installed this past Sat Jan 25th but came back with all these dents and scratches and it wasn’t even installed properly. You can no longer open the cabinet door on the left. And its making the exact same sound it made when I first called them back in Dec. ****** *********** ***** **** **** ** **** **** * ***** ** *** * ********** I am now in the process of ordering a new microwave *** ****** ******* **** ******* ** *** **.Initial Complaint

I first contacted the company in May 2024 to assist with the repair of a washer located at my tenant's unit. On May 30, 2024 the technician said the washer needed a new control board and charged me $959.90. They did not accept credit card so I e-transferred the amount to their email ****@*******************.ca
On June 10, 2024 the technician came to install the part. The technician did not demonstrate that the unit was now functional and left saying it should be "good to go". My tenant let me know that the issue has not been fixed and on June 22 I contacted the technician stating the unit still does not work. He told me to call the office - they sent another technician on June 29. The technician said that the washer needs another part . I called him and the company guaranteed that this additional part would fix the washer - I e-transferred another $367 as deposit (~50%). On July 23 the technician came to install the new part and left quickly - When my tenant ran the washer, the same issue persisted. ** **** ***** * ****** ******** ***** *** ******* *** **** ******** *** **** ** ** * **** ******* **** ********* ** *** ******* *** *** ***********
At this point, having lost faith in appliance repair companies, I ordered a new washer unit (on July 31). I do not believe this company had ever performed any actual work on my unit - it was a complete scam.
The company has ******* ** *** a total of $1326.9 and is threatening to report me to collections/ sue me for the remainder $316.10. **** ******* ***** ** ** **** **** * ** ** * **** ** ** ********* ******** *****Initial Complaint

A team service person came to my home on Jan 15 to look at my 8 yr old oven, the bottom element wasn't working. I understood there was an $80 service charge to have them come out and do an assessment. I was told that it was going to cost $290 to fix the main board, I agreed to that. When that was done I was told that the new element would cost $281.87. Was told the person would come and tell me the problem for 80 which could then be applied to the final bill if I said go ahead.
He was here IF 30 minutes and said labour would be 290.00
Parts extra but didn't give me a price on parts until after I ok the labour.
Parts came in at 440 to fix washing machine.
Now he says if I decline the work, it will cost me $290. not 80.
******* ********* I agreed to it but within 15 minutes called to say no. And that as not even half the labour was done, I shouldn't be paying 290.
Unfortunately I didn't know the price of Parts and paid 50% of the parts plus the 290.
Now, I am being told I have to wait 48 hours for a refund call.
Which takes me out of the 72 hour window of cancelling a contract.

My fridge had an issue with the ice dispenser door (it kept opening and closing) so I called this company to book a service appointment. They told me on the phone it would be an $80 service fee but if i went ahead with the repair that would be waived. They arrived on Nov 14th and once there told me that they don't work on a per hour labour rate, instead they charge based on what appliance it is. For a fridge it would be $392 , regardless of how long it took to fix. * *** ******* at **** ** they did not mention that on the phone and I had never run into a company that worked like this. I was hesitant to spend that kind of money but the technician said that that also covered a year warranty and if there was any issue that I would not have to pay for labour again. I went ahead with the fix, which also included a part that was $393. Again I was hesitant but the technician said that rest of the fridge looked good and I should get another 5-10 years out of it so I agreed to pay the money. The part was delayed coming in and then was broken so the fridge did not actually get fixed until Nov 29th. Even then it was not a complete fix as i could not use the ice dispenser afterwards, as apparently there was another issue that would cost $1100 to fix which I did not agree to do. They did not advise me of this issue until I had already spent the $800. Then on Dec 20th the fridge died completely. When I called them back to have them come look at it, they said that it would be another entire charge as it was not covered in the first labour charge I paid. That $392 would only cover if it was the same issue, which is not what the technician said. I did not have them come and I had to buy a new fridge. Before the fridge died completely I contacted them to ask for a partial credit because it was not explained to me on the phone how they operated with the $392 charge *** *** **** **** **** * ***** **** **** **** * ********* ******** *** * ****** ** **** *** *** ***** ** *******Initial Complaint

Dryer broke Dec 22, Technician was dispatched. Paid for parts and labour by debit.
Part came in and technician came to install Dec 27. He said everything is working and left.
Dec 28 I called back as the dryer would work for 5 minutes then stop. They sent a technician to come Dec 29.
Technician examined things and indicated that breaker needs to be flipped again as the main board went into test mode bc it was just replaced. He said it should be fine now and left. Provided invoice saying no charge as it’s under warranty.
Dryer continued to have the same issue of starting but stopping within several minutes. Called back and was told * ** ***** *** that the technician indicated a further display panel is needed. I said that is incorrect and to have him come. Ack and fix the issue properly. Company told me I was changing my story and that there was a new issue that needed repair.Initial Complaint
