1 starMy wife and I recently purchased a sofa, coffee table and recliner from leon's Peterbourough. I originally made the purchase on-line and the money came out of my account almost instantly. That I think would make a logical person believe the furniture is in stock? I received a very vague voice mail the next day from leon's Peterbourough store stating the items are not in stock and I was given no indication when they would be! I was invited to come to the store to look. There was a reason I bought on-line! So into the store I go! I find suitable replacements (although they did have the items I wanted on the floor and tags said IN STOCK, I was told that was false!!!!!) and the sales person now tells me that I will have to pay for these items separate from the items I bought on-line!! You got it they want me to pay twice! I asked when I would get the refund from the on-line purchase, they could not provide that info!!! This did not work for me and when I was leaving they suddenly came up with a way that I would only have to pay once, yay!! Resolved right?? Nope! Furniture delivered at night, dump and run by delivery guys. My wife notices a cut on the arm of the sofa. In my opinion made by a box cutter by the delivery guys when they removed the packaging in their truck before bringing it into my house. I drive into Peterborough store again the next day (second trip for a purchase I made on line since I had no time to go to the store!!!) approx. a 40km drive from my house (one way) to report the issue. I was told I was to take pictures, I said I want it replaced, no response from staff. Home I go and take and e-mail pictures. Response pictures are not good enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1 star****** *** * * **** **** *** It took 5 months to get 2 small parts for my bed. When I received them they were the wrong parts. It got to the point that Leon’s would not answer my calls anymore. I ** ******** *** require the bed for raising my feet ** ******** ******** ** ** ***** They did not care. I even asked for my money back but they refused. 1 starTerrible experience. The colour of the Livingroom set I ordered looked nothing like it did in the showroom. I provided pictures to prove it and the customer care representative acknowledged it didn’t. I requested an exchange for a different colour and was denied. They refused to work to correct the issue altogether and I was informed that all sales are final which was not disclosed at the time of purchase. This will be my last purchase from Leons, we shopped at the Orillia location. The leather sectional arrived defective from the manufacturer. The service department is attempting to make this right but the idea of repairing 80% of a brand new couch is ridiculous. I have paid too much to receive such a poor quality item. The only solution I will be happy with is a full refund. ****** ***** ** ** ******* *** *** ***** **** ******* *** **** **** ***** ******** ** *** ************* I'm aware that some manufacturers do not provide a warranty but Leon's should stand behind their products. I noticed they don't even sell the couch anymore, unless it's just not on the website. ** *** ******** ***************** ********* **** *** ******** ******** The manufacturer damage to this couch includes staples through the leather, poor quality fill and not enough of it. Puckered leather, drooping dust covers with holes or cuts in the material. The back of the chaise is very loose and barely attached. Imperfections in the grain surface of the leather. Broken stitching. Accent pillows with broken zippers. This couch should have never passed quality control; yet here it is, delivered to my living room. To be informed that I must pay a 50% restocking fee to return an item so heavily damaged is completely ridiculous. I didn't just change my mind, I received a sub par product. 1 starI will never purchase anything from Leon’s ever again.
I purchased a high end mattress with the mattress cover that came with a 10 year warranty. The mattress failed in 5 years.
I understand that things happen. When I called to have the warranty claim they mentioned that they had to send a technician to see the mattress.
The technician admitted the mattress was Defective yet turned down the warranty claim because of a few sweat stains that their 200 dollar mattress protector didn’t protect….
What does a sweat stain have to do with the mattress failing????

That after market service is the worst. ***** *** *** ** ***** ******** ********** ***** they never honor anything.

Leon's promise to deliver in 3 weeks will take 2 months after I paid in full on November 28, 2023. I bought an upright ********** Freezer: $848.00, ******* Range model# ***********: $722.99 and a ******* fridge 17.6 cu.ft TMF SS Flex Zone: $761.12. Total Sales including GST is $2,448.72. The promise to deliver the goods in three weeks has been extended to two months. ** *** * **** ** *** ** ** *** ******** *********** Leon's Medicine Hat manager, **** ******, informed me that there could be an update this week. A sales rep called me today that the expected time of delivery will be at the end of January 2024. * ******* *** ** * *** *** **** *** ************ **** ****** ** *** ******* *** ********** ****** ** *** ********** *** ** **** ****** ** **********. Dec 26/23 purchased an ** 55 inch T.V. it was a floor model and the price was what they call managers deal. I discussed with the sales lady Mony will take that one, do you have the box and the parts that go along with it-legs, manual and remote, yes she said they will be all there. So as she was processing the sale I strongly said to her if the parts are not all there can we bring the T.V. back, Yes she said, once again reassured all was fine. However upon paying she said we will go to the warehouse, asking again more than one occasion if all parts in box, yes everything in it. the box had already been taped so we were unable to look in it. We wanted the box to be opened but was told everything in it. Upon getting it home and unpacked the unit there was no legs/base in the box. Yes really, well at this point we are livid, Called the store asked for customer service spoke with Amanda then Nicole, said she would get the guys to look in the warehouse, nothing was found. she said she will call me back with a response on what to do moving forward. I was offered to contact ** and that they would either send me a new t.v. or I would be up grated to another model, or that I can go onto ****** and purchase the missing parts, they would offer me a $100.00 credit on my **** card to purchase the missing parts. For one thing they do not have my cc# so how could they credit my ****! we had revisited the store the following day, very upset that rite from the sales lady to the people in the warehouse to customer service ***** to us. Insisted the $100.00 credit be issued back to my cc and that not leaving the store until this is done. ** was contacted the same day and I was informed that no replacement would be issued nor a upgrade be given. Again Leon's staff ****. ** will be sending me the replacement parts for the wrong full doing of this store. How sad is that for them not taking the responsibility for their wrong doing. I regret buying my sofa from this ***** place. ** ** * ****. At leons they will promote highly discounted items and nowhere mentions that after purchasing a product for whatever you reason or situation is, the product can not be returned in any sort of way and if they do accept a return the customer has to pay 50% from the purchase amount. ** **** * ******* When you buy something from online you actually don’t know what to expect, still leons didn’t gave me any sort of option **** **** **** ** **** **** *********.
