1 starI have had nothing but problems with this bank and 99% of it's employees. From the front desk to the managers, the estate and mortgage departments and up. The details of my 2 year battle with Scotia would take 10 years to write out. They have failed to upload my dad's will, and land title transfer numerous times (more than 15!) I even had a lady at the ESTATE department tell me that I need my father to call them and give permission for me to talk on his behalf. ESTATE means someone has passed away. The someone we were speaking about during the entire painful 30 minute phone call prior to her ridiculous comment was my Dad. Everyone I have dealt with has either read from a script, ** ** ******* *** ** **** *********** I am now dealing with them holding the money from the sale of our house because they have failed for the 10th time to properly upload the title transfer. You can't get a hold of anyone and if your lucky/unlucky enough (opinion on this pending!) to get someone, they confuse things even more. ** ****** ******** *** ****** ** ****** **** **** **** ****** ** ***** ** ****** ** *** * * **** *** ** **** ** *** **** * ***** ***** * ***** **** ** ***** **** ***** ****** - at least I would get a clear answer on where it went! Not sure how many times a week I have to deal with the same teller *** *** *** ****** ** * *********. ****** *** **** **** ******** ***** **** * *** *** **** *** **** *** *** ***** ** *** ****** ************* **** ******* ****** ** **** **** **** * **** ** ****Review fromKristen D

5 starsI’ve dealt with two customer services representatives for two different occasions and both people were very helpful and got my issues resolved right away. The first person was Gabby. I was trying to buy an airline ticket but my card kept declining for some reason. Gabby looked everything over and got hold of the fraud department to make sure my card was ok to use since there was a sudden hold on it. She got it taken off and I was able to buy my airline ticket right away. She was also very friendly and cheerful. The second person was Bernie today. I’ve had a hold on my account from a fraudulent activity for over a month and have not been able to use my card and account at all. Bernie helped me resolve this very long process and as of tomorrow the hold will come off after over a month and just in time for my trip too! He was also very friendly, upbeat and cheerful and easy to deal with you. Thank you Gabby and Bernie for giving me great customer service and getting what I needed resolved!Review fromTheresa R

1 starScotiabank offered a credit card with features I was looking for to reduce travel fees. There web site promoted the card with no fees for the first year. I went into the branch and applied and was told no fees for the first year plus $250 in bonus if I met spending milestones for the first three months. 3 times they send the card and the pin number to the wrong address and when they finally provided me with the card in branch... I began getting billed the $150 annual fee that was to be waived for the first year. The online promotion and the staff in the branch **** to me. The branch refuses to make an appointment with me to correct the charge and Scotiabank Telephone support is ** ******** **** passing me between people then telling me I need to go into the branch. **** **** **** **** ******* no one is willing to take responsibility... they just keep passing you around till the customer is exhausted.Review fromBrant S

2 starsDespite being a customer for many years, Scotiabank denied my existence because I left town for one year. They turn over all my child’s education savings plan to the control of my ex partner, even though is that on file to not do so. ***** ******* ***** **** * *** * ******* *** ****** *** ****** **** * **** ******* ** * ****** *** ************ *** ** ** ************ Recently, I was sold fraudulent concert tickets and I have tried tonight five times to report this fraud. Once the lady said that I didn’t answer my questions correctly, even though I had The app open on my phone so I can answer the questions perfectly. The second time after answering the questions the man put me on hold and after five minutes it just hung up on me I’ve called three more times one time I recorded the entire call and every time it transfers me to the department to report the fraud it just hangs up on me something very very strange is going on with Scotiabank and I’d like to know what it is. I had to replace my card because it suddenly was not working and they said it’s because your tap only has a certain amount for the entire life of the card. They told me that your tab limits out after a certain amount forever and then you have to get a new card which nobody else that I know has had this experience. I went downtown to open a business account as an independent paralegal, and I was treated like garbage. **** ** * *** ** *** ********* *** ** ********* ******* ******** * ** ***** ***** ******* **** ******** ****** *** ** ***** ******* ********* ** *** ** *** *** ******** ** ** ******* ****** *** ** **** ** *** *************** *** ** ******* **** ***** **** ** ***** **** *** ******* ******** **** * ***** ***** *********** I need this fraud reported as soon as possible, *** * **** ******* ******** ** ********** ** **** **** ***** ************ ** ****** *** ***** PS. After more than five years with this bank, I could still only withdraw $100 after depositing at the machine.Review fromAkber K

1 star***** **** **** **** (I was client with 4 other banks in my lifetime). Been with them for 1 year. They don't call when they should for you to get your cards. They then send them back. Your online is then blocked. My credit card was fully paid every month. My checking account had over $5 000,00. After complaining (without any rudeness or threats) they decided to demarket me (close all my accounts, credits and never go back to them). When asked for a reason they answered that when opening my account I agreed they can close it when they want for whatever reason they want (fine prints). ** ******** **** ******* *** * ****** **** *** *** ********* *** ****** **** **** ** ***** **** ***** ****** *** *** **** *** **** ***** **** *** ******** ***** ** **** ****** ** *** *** **** *** *** *** ** **** * ****** ** ********* ****** *** ****** **** ******* ***** **** ***** ********** **** ** *** ***** **.
