      ***** **** **** **** (I was client with 4 other banks in my lifetime). Been with them for 1 year. They don't call when they should for you to get your cards. They then send them back. Your online is then blocked. My credit card was fully paid every month. My checking account had over $5 000,00. After complaining (without any rudeness or threats) they decided to demarket me (close all my accounts, credits and never go back to them). When asked for a reason they answered that when opening my account I agreed they can close it when they want for whatever reason they want (fine prints). ** ******** **** ******* *** * ****** **** *** *** ********* *** ****** **** **** ** ***** **** ***** ****** *** *** **** *** **** ***** **** *** ******** ***** ** **** ****** ** *** *** **** *** *** *** ** **** * ****** ** ********* ****** *** ****** **** ******* ***** **** ***** ********** **** ** *** ***** **.

The worst software and application on the market. Each time !! I try to go online to see my accounts it asks me to reset my current password . Online does not work. Each time you need to call customer rep - wait on the phone -answer their security questions -manually !!! = 19 century !!to reset password with their support only. Unbelievable!! Three times for ONE day it asked me to reset password. The same happened withxfriedn of mine !! Shame

Worst customer service. I have been waiting for 2 hours and no one picked up my call. They blocked my account by saying some unusual activity happened and I tried to reach out their fraud department to re continue my service and I waited for 2 hours and no one picked up my call also I didn’t see and fraud activity with my account. I don’t know what Scotia bank is doing. Finally I made up mind to close account with this bank. Worst Worst Worst bank service ever I have seen in Canada.

Do not get a mortgage through Scotiabank. They did not keep proper records of my communication with them, and did not provide adequate communication back to me. Result was the Scotiabank auto-renewal of a mortgage with non-competitive rates, I’ve tried to resolve the issue through their complaints department, but continue to run into a complete lack of understanding.

*** **** **** * **** ***** ** ********. Agreed, the worst possible customer service ever!!!! Within the last ten daysI had two very negative experiences with SB Security services. First time, I needed to cancel the transaction, that they did not approve, because I paid for it in a different way. I called them, waited on the phone for way over one hour. The guy who answered the phone told me that he needs to ask me some security questions. He started asking them when I realized that my Scotia card is in my car. I asked him politely he please wait until I get the card from my car. He said no, and that I need to go to the branch in order to solve my problem. I asked him to put me through to his supervisor and got an answer that since he was unable to verify me, nobody would talk to me. As a result, I was double charged and am waiting now for a refund from the company. Today, using my card I tried to pay for a tv subscription. As soon as I put the card into the system, I realized the transaction was not going through. I had to call them again. After around 20 minutes, the CR put me through to the Security again. I found out that I am unable to use my card until I go to the branch. Again I went through a double verification just to find out that nothing can ve done. I asked to be put trough to the supervisor and was told that they are unavailable and I have to call again. Is it possible to have even worth CR experience. I am closing my account at this bank. Unbelievable!!!!!!

I have a Scotia Passport Infinite card with Scotia Bank (BNS) that was cancelled because it was compromised. A credit was recently issued to that compromised card.
Called the Customer Service dept and was told they do see the credit but I will have to go to a BNS branch to verify my identity and show proof of the original charge and the branch will be able to issue a draft for the refund. I asked to speak to a Manager and she told me the same thing.
By the way this charge was for a cruise I booked back in 2021 for a cruise in Dec 2023 that I have now cancelled.
Why do I have to do that as it is obvious that they can check the records and see the original charge and I have to show them an ID for a refund due to me?
I went to the nearest BNS branch and I was told they can only verify the original transaction. I will have to call the Customer Service line for them to process the refund.
Called customer service and they passed me to the "fraud dept" (on hold for 25 mins) and was told by an agent there that she needs to send an email to their "claims" department for the refund to be processed. It will take anywhere from 7 to 10 business days to process the refund. Asked to speak to the Manager and was told she is the most senior person there at this point in time.
All in all I spent about 3 hours dealing with this runaround.

The worst customer service. I had booked an in-person appointment which was cancelled right before it started as I was making my way there. Was told there was no appointments for the rest of the day in-person or online. I think made another appointment for a phone appointment. No show and nobody called at our scheduled time. I emailed to follow up and no response. I called again to try to get someone on the phone, after 30 minutes of holding was told nobody at any branch or via telephone was available that day. And still no follow up!

      * ** * ********** ******** ***** ***** * ***** **** ** ****** ********* ** *** ********** **** *** ******* ***** ******** ****** I personally believe that Scotiabank disregard my concerns, failed to perform a careful investigation, lack the knowledge and expertise from customer service departments; delayed in replying to my numerous voice/email messages and overall is avoiding accountability and responsibility for a deceitful representation. These issues has positioned my family of financial and emotional constraints. It is unacceptable practice on their reputable company’s part as they portrayed to be.
My personal experience was that I received in the mail promotion cheque at 3.99% which I deposited and they processed, to find out 2 months later that I was not qualified for it any longer because I missed 2 due date payments. I pay my bills all the time just missed the due date. No one was able to tell me at first why I was not qualified, and the interest was no longer 3.99% but rather 15% I was paying for it. The bank mailed them to me and processed them however refused to give me 3.99% rate for it. * ******** ** ** * ******
