      I signed up for trash service on August 7 2025. Was told I would recieve my trash cart on that Friday. When it didn't come I called the following Monday and when I inquired was told it would arrive that coming Friday. I have made several attempts to call and find out what is going on. I have asked to speak with a supervisor and I have asked for a refund. I called today September 23 2024 was told a supervisor would call me back after 3. I called back at 345 and was told the supervisor was no longer in. I asked for a refund and was told that had to be done by a supervisor. I am really frustrated with this company ans just want my money back for failure to provide the service.

      Our goal of this dispute: Cards will officially cancel our account, showing a zero balance, and we no longer receive any statements from them.

      Background:
      We were customers of a local trash service that sold out to Cards Recycling. We were on a month by month payment (no contract). Cards took overs in early 2024, we continued month payments. In May, Cards began skipping our weekly trash pickup (we had paid for May). In late May I began the process of canceling our service, we did not want service in June.

      We attempted to reach via phone approximately 10 times during the last week of May. We had still not been picked up for 2 weeks at this point. In June we hauled off (and paid for landfill fees) our own trash that Cards did not pick up. I also sent emails, a handwritten letter, and (attempted to) call once again to cancel service immediately.
      Cards never picked up trash for us again, we felt assured they recognized our request to cancel service.
      However, we are continuing to receive monthly statements from them. I call each time and am assured it will be taken care of. Last call on September 9th resulted in a return email stating the account would be closed, but I received a new statement dated September 16th for $110. We simply want to show a zero balance and to be deleted from their system. Please give us advice on our next steps. At this time we feel the company is borderline harassing us, I spend time on the phone and email with their representatives each month to take care of the issue, had hoped it was resolved a few weeks ago, but here we are, with a new statement.

      Cards Recycling bought out my existing trash service provider.
      After a transition period, Cards stopped picking up my trash. My neighbors and I contacted them on multiple occasions. After 5 weeks of not receiving service and taking the trash to the dump ourselves, I attempted to cancel service. My first online attempt to cancel was never processed by Cards. I was later able to cancel over the phone but was still charged another month and a cart return fee.

      I paid Cards for almost two months without receiving service and they are attempting to get me to pay for a third month without providing any services to me.

      We paid for trash service in advance 90$ per 3 months for weekly pickup. During april-june-june cycle they stopped picking up our trash. We hired another trash service june 3 rd. No trash was picked up after the first of june, nor for several weeks prior to that. We called several times being told they would pickup our trash but that didnt happen. They are billing us for the next cycle july- august. Which we had no service rendered. We sent the bill back with cancel service written on it. Called numerous times to cancel service. And we are now being threatened with a collection service, when they actually owe us for over a month of non pickup that we paid for. No service since middle of may, and billing me for next 6 months? Still billing me for july- sept an oct-dec. plus late fee for no service with no explanation!

      Good Morning. we wanted to address your recent inquiry regarding cancellation notices. We did not receive any cancellation notifications prior to September 18th. As a result, we are unable to waive any charges other than the billing for the period of October to December.       I changed service before i had any balance. ******** has been picking up my trash since June 3. We had to change because your company quit picking up our trash along with many of our neighbors. You know the truth, it was on the news, we all had a problem out here when that happened. I pay my bills and I don’t appreciate being harassed for a bill which would have been an advance payment for a service I wasn’t  getting. You know the truth. Do we need to go further?

      Cards took over my current trash service starting September 1, 2024. I called mid August to cancel the new service. I’ve received 2 bills since, each showing I owe a late fee. I’ve called 4 times now and the issue has yet to be resolved.

      It’s simple I canceled my trash service after several attempts the end of June to get a hold of them July 1, 2024 they did not pick up trash after this date. The reason for canceling was they would not pick up my trash regularly and I even once took my trash bins to they office in Chelsea Oklahoma. Only thing I would like is the them to stop sending me bills.

      I received a bill in June for one month, a late fee, and the next three months. I had been paying a month at a time over the phone because Cards had recently taken over the old company and I was having trouble with my trash being picked up. I only owed for June of which I had not any service. I tried to call company, but no response. I went ahead and sent check and bill in the mail with a letter written of discontinuing service. I received another bill with notation of receiving Junes payment with still owing late fee and next three months. I called and tried to talk to person but could not reach. Did not receive anything else until today, 9-17-2024. The paper bill says I now owe Cards 260.00. I have not received service since May!! I started new service in June. And went ahead and paid Cards for June. When I talked to person today. I was told I had to pay. Unfortunately the written notice I sent was not a formal notice they excepted until I called the number I called today. I told them I would not pay and she said then it will be sent to collections. This is very upsetting to me. I do not want this on my credit. I tried to stay with Cards after the transition and give them the benefit of doubt when I did not receive trash pick up at Christmas time for several weeks. This is simply awful!

      I am rejecting this response because:
      The person I talked to said that my written response was not what was needed to cancel my service. So I feel like she was acknowledging receipt. Then I was told that my service would be considered cancelled from this point. That written notice was sent with a check for June service and the check was cashed. So I have no doubt the notice was received at the end of June. I have had a different service since the last week of June. I did not receive service for 3 weeks in June. Which is why I opted for new service. And a bill from Cards saying I owed June, plus a late fee ( when June was not even over) and the next three months. I did not receive weeks of service during December and January. But tried to give the company a chance since they were just taking over my old service. The trash was picked up on and off for all the months I tried to stay even when my neighbors discontinued. I was not reimbursed for any trash service. I was told if I do not pay, it will go to collections. I did say I would not pay on the phone. And I am not paying. I do thank you for being so gracious as to offer not to charge me for the next three months. (Especially since I have not really received service since May.)

      I was charged for services never provided.  I signed up for trash service on August 27, 2024, I was promised a trash container within 24-48 hours no trash container was ever delivered and no trash has ever been picked up. I called back on the on 8/29/24 and talked to someone for 5 minutes, I called again on 8/30/24 to cancel this account. I disputed the charge of $26.47 through my credit card company and it was reversed. Cards charged my card again on 9/11/24, I called to speak with a manager and was told Cards accounting had to refund my money, they refused to let me speak to a manager. I disputed the charge with my credit card company and was told they could bill me again. I closed my credit card, but was told they could still charge my card. This company has been on the news for lack of service and no refunds given ever.

      I cancelled my trash service through Cards, due to unreliability of their service. They began billing quarterly in July, so I believed I could cancel before they charged my bank account for the next quarter. However, the payment for Oct-Dec was taken out of my bank account on Sept. 12. and they refused any refund, stating they said payments would be deducted a month a head of time.
      This seems like a disreputable practice, deducting funds 2 weeks before the next cycle.
      I have requested a paper statement from them, stating my cancellation.
      I am one of many, many in this community who have had nothing but trouble with this company. I have switched, beginning next week, to the new city trash service.

      We were with *** ******** and Cards bought them out in January 2024.

      Right off the bat, we had some issues but my husband and I chalked it up to changing of hands and tried to just move past it.

      First thing we noticed, they don’t actually pickup your trash on any holiday weeks. They claim to have a day late policy on it but they don’t actually show up.

      They have switched pickup days on us three times without notice but we let it go……

      We are now on week 2 of no pickup…… our bins are full and they don’t care. I’ve called a million times they are rude and don’t care. They claim they put in a missing work order and say 48 hours but trash hasn’t been picked up. That was two weeks ago….

      I called again Monday same response and no pick up. They love to take your money, but don’t provide the service that they claim to give. They have a 2 rating on reviews and I can see why.

      I have called about 50 times and only got one person to answer one time……. I have read they block your number if you call and complain like I have from other people online. They are a terrible company and should be shut down.
