They didn't post a payment until the past due date and now keep adding to that. It was 20.00 then 41 00 and now 61.00. I have been tring to get this fixed since April they keep telling me it is taken care of but the amount keeps going up. I have canceled the service and they have picked up the can. I had 6 weeks of service left but righting it off. Have health issues to deal with and don't need this aggravationBusiness Response

Thank you for your feedback. When we billed for April, May, and June on March 8, 2024, the payment was not received within the allotted time, leading to a late fee issued on April 10, 2024. Payment for these months was received on April 18, 2024, but did not cover the late fee balance, resulting in a remaining balance of $20.
We billed for July, August, and September on June 13, 2024. A partial payment was received, but due to the outstanding balance from previous periods, an additional late fee was added.
We will request the removal of one late fee, leaving a remaining balance of $41.04. Your account has been canceled, and the trash can has been removed. If you have any further questions or need assistance, please let us know.Initial Complaint

Cards Recycling has not picked up our trash in 3 weeks, and that’s just this time. Since we have started service with them, they have continually missed weeks at a time. We have called many times, always polite, and they tell us they will be out that day but never come! They refuse to refund the weeks they have missed and refuse to refund us for the term we have prepaid for. We also paid $64 for a bulk pickup that wasn’t taken, we disposed of it elsewhere. We called and they said they would refund the $64 but they still haven’t. My husband and I are both in college, we can’t afford to be paying for a service we aren’t getting. All we want is the service we have paid for. Trash isn’t something that should be so complicated.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:My husband and I have both reached out to the company many times in the last month and a half. I have emailed my service address many times and never received any responses. In the past month and a half our trash has not been picked up, yet I have seen the truck right down the road. It makes no sense. This company has never refunded the money that we had to prepay, even though we haven’t received the service. We are also supposed to recieve a refunded to the form of payment for $64 for a bulk order that was never picked up. We had to dispose of it elsewhere, as well as our trash that hasn’t been picked up in a month and a half. We want you guys to pick up your trash can and cancel our service. May-August 2024. Billing cycle is per quarter. Missed trash pickups 5 plus weeks of service during May and June. Would not credit my account because they don't do credits. Cancelled service for new quarter billing on 7/1. Recvd another bill with late fee and called on 7/15. No log on their end of cancelation on 7/1. Cancelled again. No mentioning of owing for bill. Recvd another bill w/ late fee on 8/10. Called on 8/13 to find out why I'm still getting bill, response was that I Canceled in the middle of the cycle on 7/15. They have never picked up my trash in July or August as I hired another sanitation company to do so since I had cancelled with them on 7/1. When I paid for the 2nd quarter April, May & June they weren't responsible of meeting their obligation of a paid service. We have had Cards Trash service since peterson trash company sold out to them and they have been nothing but problems. They sent me a statement letting me know that my automatic payment would be going through then the next statement was a bill with a late fee. When I called they said I was not set up with automatic payment. I said that was incorrect that is how I have been paying this whole time. I made this phone call July 19th. And cards trash service had already missed the last 2 weeks of pick up and they were trying to charge a late fee on my automatic withdrawal so I just canceled my service. They said someone would be out in the next 48 hours to retrieve the can. A week later trash service came and my can was still there so I called again. They said they would send someone. Then yesterday august 13th I received a bill with another late notice I called today and they said I owe the bill. Mind you this bill is for July, August, and September. I have not had trash anytime during those months. The women on the phone today said I owe it and there is nothing they can do. They are stealing money and not picking up trash. This could be due to several reasons, such as an expired card, a declined transaction, or another issue. When you called on July 19th, you requested the removal of the late fee, which we did. However, at that time, you did not cancel the service.
We will request that our accounting team remove one of the late fees as a courtesy. Please note that our policy does not allow us to remove charges after they have been billed for the upcoming service period. The bill for July, August, and September was sent on June 13th. We can offer you service through the end of the paid period if you would like.

I contracted with Cards Holdings to pick up my trash service weekly at my home with 2 trash cans. They have picked up our trash for some time now but the last pickup was July 25, at this time it has been 3 weeks. I called and let them know they missed our pickup on 8/1 thinking it just got missed by mistake, then again 3 more times since and have been told different excuses each time. I called 8/13 requesting to cancel my service and receive a refund for the 3 months I paid in advance. I was told they don't issue refunds. I told the representative I only have had my trash picked up twice on this pay cycle. She refused to let me speak to a supervisor and said no refund would be given.
I paid for 3 months at a time and they fraudulently took my money out of my account and have not picked up my trash since July 25.
I have record in which I called their company 9 times since 8/1 and she stated they only showed I had called twice. I plan to cancel my services with receipt of refund for the weeks I have gone without trash service.Business Response

CARDS recycling bought out my trash service provider December of 2023 I believe, and immediately everything went bad. No pick ups, I’ve had my trash picked up twice in the past two months, no notice or response from company, will not issue refunds or cancel service, has affected entire counties with communities in uproar as trash fills the streets. They are unwilling to make it right, to cancel service because I prepaid for a quarterly service so they won’t cancel until the end of the quarter, but I’m still paying for a service they are not rendering and have not been rendering. I now have to pay someone else as well to come pick up the trash I’m paying them to pick up weekly. It’s fraudulent and it’s outright theft and they refuse to budge on refunding my money. They will not respond to emails, and supervisors are conveniently not in the building if you manage to get someone on the phone. Voicemails do not get returned, and it’s impossible to get them to make anything right. They just siphon their money from my account? And then leave the trash sitting for weeks on end. This includes services starting January 1, 2024 through September 30, 2024. The refund for August and September was processed on August 28th in the amount of $46. IM GOING TO START OFF BY SAYING SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY, CHOOSE A DIFFERENT TRASH SERVICE. This company is an absolute joke, I’ve been waiting on my trash to be picked up since Friday well it’s Thursday afternoon of the following week and no one can even engine me an estimate and when I ask to speak to a manager or supervisor they aren’t available. Well I’ve been calling for 5+ days now and having a hard time believing that not one time has a supervisor been available nor have they returned my call. I have disputed the charges with my bank since they won’t process my refund. I will be contacting the Missouri AG and BBB about this fraudulent business as I see others have had the same issues with them or worse. Our previous trash service was purchased by CARDS January 2024. They started off ok but then would skip our house, or entire neighborhood, show up late or not at all. I called on July 3rd to cancel our service for July, August & September. Our first trash pickup for that period would have been July 5th so I called before that date. I received a bill last week for $90 plus a $30 late fee for July, August & September even though I canceled. They have not picked up our trash, we went with a new company. They are saying we owe them bc I called in the middle of a billing period. They are saying they told me I would still owe when I called which I can assure you they did not!Business Response

The business is a recycling trash pick up service that has not picked up for 3 weeks. They charged me an initial fee of 25$ for the can and 50$ for a startup fee.
