Paid for trash service. They were to pick up the trash every other Friday.. Last date trash picked up was on a Sunday 07/09/23. Should have been picked up on 07/07/23. They never came back even though every one of their trucks drive past my house daily.
Discontinued service on 08/22/23, regional mgr had the full dumpster picked up and taken away. I asked for a refund of premiums paid for services not rendered. Never heard anything. Got another bill yesterday for $18.27? Called cust serv. Only able to leave a mssg with a third party for cust serv to return call. Believe me, I will never get a call.Business Response

The first year I was with Cards, they missed pickup several times, once for 8 month's straight. Dan came out to my house and spoke with me in person. That was in May of 2023. In june the dumpster had been moved and serviced. July I paid my bill via auto pay but was not serviced again. Then I received a bill for almost 400.00 dollars, post my july payment. When I called to inquire the person I spoke with told me they had changed their billing policy and are now billing three months in advance. I reminded her that july had already been paid for and my stop was MISSED YET AGAIN. I told her then that they could just come their dumpster and they had better not take any more money out of my account. This past weekend I flew out to missouri to check on my cabin. I discovered that not only was the dumpster still in place but it had not been serviced. I called yesterday and spoke with Audrey (very nice, she was actually trying to help) unfortunately she didn't have the authority to assist me. I was told I would receive a call back from Nicole. Who states she called however, I do not have any voicemails or missed calls from cards yesterday. I called in today and spoke with he> She was very rude and refused to assist, going so far as to state "this is how it works, we will come get the dumpster but we are not going to adjust Your bill". I asked to speak with her supervisor. She told me she was the boss and refused to give me the name of her superior. After arguing with me and my informing her that by law she has to give me the info.. she relented and told me "dan". I was going to let it go and cut my losses, however now, not only do I want the bill corrected but also want a refund for the many months of missed service. I ask for only 795 simply because I don't want to do the research for the actual number which is probably somewhere around 1500.00 as my dumpster has only been serviced 5 or 6 times in over two years.Business Response

Hello,
Our customer service manager reached out to you on 1/25/24 to discuss this issue. She explained that we cannot offer a refund because we have not received a payment since April of 2023, and we serviced the dumpster up to November of 2023, before the account was suspended due to nonpayment. Our customer service manager was able to lower the bill to reflects the months you received serviced, however you declined to discuss this issue any further while on the phone.

I am rejecting this response because: they are being fraudulent. My dumpster was skipped for 8 months in a row serviced it once and then skipped me again for several months. I told them to pick it up in July .. I left the state and it was still there went I went to check on my cabin … I am not sure they have picked it up as I will not be in Missouri until next month. In short they are billing for services they are not performing.Their statement is not factual. As you see from the screen shot of my bank statement

I would like to advise you of Cards Recycling trash service which uses shoddy business practices. When they took over from the previous service company a few months ago customers were never notified. They bill with hidden charges such as admin fees, adding tax on the admin fee. This is for paper billing. I was never told of any fees. This was a definite surprise when I received my bill. Because of total lack of customer support (for instance, never calling back with answers to various questions) I cancelled my service on Oct. 30th. Their trash can wasn't picked up. I called them to remove it. At that time I was informed there was an additional $25 fee for removing their trash can. (Why wasn't this explained at the time I cancelled the service?) After several discussions back and forth, I paid the money just to get the can removed. Of course, there was a hidden charge of $1 tax on this fee. To this day their bright orange can still resides at the end of my driveway. I have called numerous times to get the can removed. Every time I'm told there is a work order for it to be picked up. When I've asked to speak to a supervisor that person is conveniently in a meeting. I have not received the service I paid for almost two months ago. Any help would be greatly appreciated.Business Response

Service not rendered for month is September and November trash was not picked up. Had to call twice in September and operation lead had to pickup yet they say no record of me calling then trash was not picked up in November till today after I called argued, They said picked up two weeks ago which is not true, dumpester was full. I have refused payment they offer to take off late charges and give me reduced monthly charge but say they have to charge me for those months claiming I got my services. I didn’t receive services for the month of September and November I should not owe anything, they only came when I complained the 30 th of November. And the operation manager had to come pick up first of October for September trash service after I called and complained twice. But they claim they have no records of my call but yet they sent operations manager to pick up my trash!!

My trash company went out of business - Jay and Shay Refuge in Springfield, MO and I paid for Jan.-June 2023. My last pickup was June 27, 2023. The first bill that I received from these people said that I owed them the amount I paid my previous company. They charged me $33.00 ahead for the months of July-September. I never put trash out since Jay and Shay Refuge. This company has never taken trash out for me ever. They keep sending me bills and adding more charges on the bill. They say I owe them $71.00 and in reality I owe them nothing. They have never picked up my trash.

Cards bought out the trash company I was using, Johns refuse. They changed the autopay to three months in advance. I paid for October, November and December in advance. I cancelled my service in September and requested a refund. First call, they said someone from accounting would contact me. No one ever did. Second call, they said a check would be mailed to me. No check ever arrived. Third call, they said the refund had been denied, but she did not have a reason why. Fourth call, they said they sent a message to the person responsible for refunds but couldn't do anything past that. I said I'll just file a complaint with the BBB.Business Response

Service has been lacking or non existent.
I've had trash dumped in my yard or half the trash can not emptied.
My trash was scheduled for pick up on 10/6 and it still has not been picked up 10/11.
I have had to call 6-7 times just to get a workorder for someone to pick up my missed trash can.
We were told we can't speak to a manager because they are busy with meetings and I was told today 10/11 that a manager would call me but the manager still hasn't reached out.

I purchased & closed on my home on Aug 25th. Cards Recycling was who the prior owner used to pick up their trash weekly and I knew this because of the trash can outside, the owner had passed. The home is not within city limits, fyi. I called Cards Recycling and they stated that I needed to pay $35.00 for the remaining 6 days and then 89.67 in advance for Sept-Dec and that my trash pick up day was every Wednesday. They do not come at all, on any day of the week unless I call them to create a "missed pick up order". I end up calling them almost daily and beg for someone to please come out. Eventually on 9.28m I called & asked for a full refund & for them to come pick up their trash bin, well they have cancelled my service but no refund & haven't picked up my trash. I call, they talk over me, hand up on me & tell me they are coming yet they don't. I don't know what to do at this point so i'm asking for your help.Business Response

They charged me $90 and I was going to go from a dumpster to a can. A guy called and stated that he would drop the payment down to $45. I signed the contract. They are still charging me $90.00.
