I live in friendship ** and republic waste management is responsible for dumping our garbage every week on Fridays. This past Fri July 22nd they dumped everyone else garbage in the town except our street today is Monday and they still haven't dumped it I have tried to contact them regarding the issue but the automated phone system keeps redirecting me then disconnecting me so I can't even report that they missed it over the weekend some animals got into one of the trash cans and scattered garbage all down the street so my husband and I had to go out there and clean it up we pay every month for a service we expect it we have garbage bags in our house now that need to go out cuz they have meat packages in them but we have no place to put them cuz cans are full and we can't set them outside cuz the animals will get into it I think we should receive a discount for all this mess especially since they dumped everyone else's and not ours I went to the water company where we pay our **** and the lady informed me they were short of staff probably and didn't have time but how is that our fault? We apologize for the recent service issue experienced by this customer in **********, **. We did experience some truck issues on Friday 7/22 and notified City Hall of route delays due to those issues. Our goal was to service those customers who were missed, on Saturday 7/23. We did service some of the route, but received some calls on Monday 7/25 of some additional missed stops. We went back to Friendship on Tue 7/26 to service those customers. Republic continues to not pick up my trash. Missed at least once per month. Called customer service and wated 62 minutes for someone to answer. These people don't cate about their customers and have no respect for themselves. The worst provider is ****************.Business Response

Spoke with customer. She lives on a corner house where her garage and address are two different streets,also the street the garbage is on is a divider between two different routes.There is also a new driver on the route. Supervisors have made clear to the driver and dispatcher where this stop is located and when it is to be serviced. Republic services is a sanitation service that bought out an old company. Since republic has taken over their quality of work has plummeted. They habitually miss trash pick **** Their customer service is no existent and they tell you to leave a message and email them and they never get back to you. My most recent/biggest issue is I have moved houses and I have been attempting to have them retrieve my bins so they are not sitting outside of a vacant house, but after weeks of trying I have not been able to get ahold of them to pick up the bins. I am not alone in my negative view of this business many others are having similar experiences and have chosen to share their views on various review websites online.Business Response

Our **** went from 155 dollars which is already pretty ridiculous considering both trash cans are the same size one is 115 every 3 months and the other is 35 but now thanks to some fuel recovery fee of 82 dollars our **** is now 238 dollars. Why are we being charged a fuel recovery fee and how is that even legal and mind you they did this with zero notice to customers. Everyone is struggling and they shouldn't be allowed to charge us for something they should budget for especially with no notice.Business Response

This is in conjunction with complaint # ********. We cancelled our service for violation of service agreement. Company was supposed to refund us $145. Once they retrieved their trash receptacles. They have refused to retrieve them for the past 5 weeks. Every time I have called for them to pickup someone changes the date from to another date In the future. My lawn now has burn marks because they have failed to pickup their barrels and I cannot receive a refund until they do. Please pickup your receptacles immediately and refund me. This is now getting closer to a legal manner. I just wish to be refunded and pickup your barrels before it goes to that point.Business Response

Republic Services has not emptied our trash in 3 weeks. When I contacted them about when to expect them to pick it up and to get credit on the 3 times they have not picked it up they only credited me for 2 missed services and promised to pick it up on this thursday. Trash is in the bar ditch and in the yard and garden. Then in stead of crediting me on all the missed pickups the charged my account for another month because we pay a month ahead of time. Trying to get it resolved only made the lady on the phone get more hateful. I paid my trash services for a full year up front. Approximately $200.00. They billed me for more money for the same year--additional to what I paid. They asked me to bring the canceled check to them and I live an hour away. I have had these services for 40 years and I have paid my **** yearly this entire time. I pay for my trash services 3 months in advance. On 11/29/2021 I paid $112.16 for services 1/1/2022 through 3/30/2022. My trash is picked up on Tuesdays. Starting on 1/4/22 I received an auto generated call from Republic Services telling me that our trash would not be picked up that week. I called the company requesting a refund for the missed service. They would not refund me they would only credit my next **** (which would be for services from 4/1/22 through 6/30/22). This continued for the following weeks: 1/4, 1/11, 1/25, 2/15, 2/22, 3/1, 3/8, 3/22, 3/29). If I did not call the same week, I was told that I waited too long to request my refund for services that I had already paid for, but never received. I had to push back before they would even open a ticket. When I received my **** for the next 3 months of services, I paid it right away ($77.74). On 3/12/2022 I received a letter from Republic Services, stating they are no longer servicing my area. I reached out immediately asking for a refund of what I had just paid, as well as requesting the amounts they had refunded me on that **** for prior services that were aid for, but never received. I had to call the company several times to see where my refund was and they were never helpful. They made me feel like it was my fault and could never give me the correct amount for the refund. On 7/1/22 I had another ticket opened (#*********) and was assured someone would reach out to me within a week because they had it noted that I was only receiving $17.39 back. I never got a call, so I called back on 7/19. They told me that my refund was coming ($77.74), i asked about the credits that I got on that **** for services never received and the manager told me that I would never see that money. I asked her to open another ticket, as this was not right. She did open a ticket (*********) but I am not confident I will get my full refund for services paid for, but never received. 7/21/22 i received the $77.74Business Response

Republic waste is not honoring the contract I paid for. On 7/22/22, 7//8/22, and at least two other dates since April 1 they have not picked up our weekly years waste container. This is a weekly service we have prepaid for. I would like a refund of the weekly price every time they miss pick up. They claim staff shortages and that is not my problem. If they cant honor what was paid for and expected, every customer should receive a refund every time service is disrupted. I paid $199.48 for this service. It may not be a large amount but the weekly service is what I expect. Other yard waste haulers are not canceling service. We have had difficulty in the past with this service and they should have some consequences.Business Response

We sincerely apologize for the delays in yard waste service.I understand your yard waste service was not completed 07/08 and 07/22 as you mentioned, due to our unexpected staffing shortages. In those challenging times, we exhaust all options and then prioritize trash and recycling pick up.While we do offer to take extras on your next service day, we understand if you would like a credit instead and we can certainly provide that to you. Traditionally if the service is missed due to reasons outside of delay, and the miss is reported and recovered, we do not offer a credit. Regarding the times in April mentioned, I cannot speak toward what might have occurred on your service day. There is one missed pick up reported in May on the account stating that it was the second week the service was not complete.
I have provided a credit of $22.00 for 4 weeks of missed pick up for yard waste. I can assure you that our team is working through all challenges to the best of their ability to not let it affect our customers. We again sincerely apologize for the delays, and we thank you for your feedback.

I received a **** from Republic Services and after calling their competitors and receiving a quote for $288 from Best Way Disposal I called into them on June 17th about a rate adjustment for trash and recycling service and my service was for 6/1/22 thru 5/31/22. I was quoted an annual rate of $276.49. I paid that amount and then received another **** $24.97 stating it was for the month of June 2022 and that my annual rate was good for 7/1/22 thru 5/31/23. Thats only 11 months. So I am asking them to either extend my coverage period until 6/30/23 and Ill pay this $24.97 charge or post date the start date as 6/1/22 and make this **** go away.Business Response
