Missed pick *** continue to happen regardless of complaints to local manager, corporate office, BBB, and PSC. I have had dozens of missed pick *** since service was started in the recent years. I have done everything republic has asked of me to make the pick up available. The local manager, ***** ******, is VERY WELL aware of this ONGOING issue, yet it continues to happen. I want to be refunded for the lack of service. It is unacceptable and a refund would be expected from any business that has any bit of ethical standards.Business Response

Been trying to have contact with this business regarding a bin. I get no response and no attempt to return emails. They said I signed a 3 year contract, it is not my signature, and it's misspelled. No attempt by customer service to resolve our issue, despite being told I will hear from them and yet they are still sending bills for the bigger bins and trying to lock me into another 3 yrs. I can not access their website. When I call I get told false information. I have been trying to get an additional trash can for years. Instead I just keep paying my bills and get no communication, false follow through, and no additional trash can.Business Response

I have been with republic services since I moved into my house about 8 years ago the prices on this have consistently gone up month after month I have called and gotten price matches several times over the last few years because best way is cheaper I wanted to give them a chance to not have to switch my service but every few months I get a bill that is higher than the price match and Im sick of having to call to get good service. They want to charge me a $38 dollar removal fee for my trash can because Ive finally had enough of calling to get the pricing corrected every single time Ive done this they have also said there is nothing that I can do about the current bill its only on future bills. This is ridiculous. Their customer service is terrible. I should not have to pay for this pickup and should only have to pay the amount that they were suppose to match for my current bill after dealing with this for so long at one point they were charging me double what the price match was.Business Response

This is a residential open market area for trash collection, meaning there is no municipal contract for established rates and residents in the area are subject to varying, competitive pricing. We do hold a standard price increase structure necessary to obtain an acceptable operating margin with increasing operational costs for doing business. We have additional information regarding our rates, charges, and fees at *************************************************************************************. I can confirm that this account has been cancelled, and the adjustments are pending for mid-June to completely credit the service for 06/01/25 - 8/31/25. I am filing a complaint against Republic Services due to their failure to collect a small amount of tree limbs from my property for over six weeks, despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue. The limbs have been curbside since Week 1, compliant with their stated 4-foot length requirement after I cut them in half by Week 3. Republics website does not mention bundling limbs, yet a phone representative claimed this was necessary, which is infeasible as the cut limbs are too small to bundle without falling apart. The representative advised waiting for the next trash pickup, but the limbs remained ************** Week 5, I contacted Republic via chat on their website, and they promised to escalate the issue and follow up within 48 hours, which did not occur. In Week 6, I reached out again, reiterated the bundling issue, and requested to file a formal complaint. I received a case number via chat but no email confirmation or further action. When I requested the office address and contact details for filing a BBB complaint, Republic refused to provide this information.This ongoing issue reflects poor communication, misleading guidelines, and failure to resolve a basic service request. I seek prompt collection of the limbs and clear communication regarding service requirements. My last invoiced amount was ***** and I'm requesting a refund of this amount as well since services I am paying for were not completed.Business Response

I tried to cancel Republic Services because my business is closing, but I was told I signed a 3-year contract, which I don't know. And my account manager is trying to charge me an early termination fee. And she sent me a document about it. I can't cancel the service without signing the document. That's a scam. They are trying to punish me for something I don't even know & have agreed to.Business Response

I signed up for trash and recycling with them approximately 1 year ago. The wanted my bank information set up for auto payment as they bill quarterly for services. You prepay for the quarter. They setup a day for pick up each week. My day is Thursdays unless holiday then it would be Friday. they have missed my scheduled day atleast 10 times. For the entire month of May my trash was not collected on time. For the week of 5/15 my trash was not collected until 5/19 (4 days late no reason given called many times). Last week 5/22 date again they did not show. Even as of today the trash and recycling that was to be collected still sits on the curb uncollected. I have spoken with numerous people from customer service and the billing department who assured me each day I was on schedule. Again the trash still sits on the curb waiting. I cant get any answers and even one of the supervisors I spoke to cant get answers. I have cancelled any remains services from them and want the trash and recycling taken and the barrels taken with them. They make you prepay for services that they dont not provide as contractually stated. I have spent several hours on the phone with them.Business Response

I have now had the opportunity to speak directly with ***** ******* regarding the matter documented in the complaint. ***** has canceled her service with Republic effective for June 1st meaning she will not have had services provided to her during this month. As she has prepaid her invoice for the quarter she will be provided a refund for 1/3 of the quarterly bill she had paid. In addition to that, our team has provided her 2 months of additional credit for both the lack of services as well as time spent dealing with this situation.
We will assure that the refund owed will be processed as soon as time would allow.
