      Horrible price gouging by our local Republic **************** Twice a month garbage pick up for $75 a month. They do not return phone calls. I've been on hold twice for 40 minutes, disconnected twice, and several times saying they'll call back in 24 hours and no call! As a small business owner, after I canceled they are now trying to charge me $450 to get out of my contract. It's been a nightmare. Needless to say they do garbage pick up for our entire small town and several times, they've missed our street for pick up!!

      I have been dealing with this company for years as well as my father before and until we decided to cancel and the last year we have never had a problem with them. We decided to switch services in the month of March and were told that the payment in March was the last payment and we would be settled up with them. Then after they missed their pick up we had to call and ask why they hadnt and was told excuses and then had to keep their dumpster for almost another week before pick up. Then two months later was told that there is now another fee that the last two phone calls which we specifically asked if we were done pops up with owing more money. Now another fee 4 months after the initial cancellation was in the fine print but after multiple calls with different employees was never brought up till now. Would not recommend.

      Everybody on my street had their trash pickup missed this week. Along with missed pickups multiple times this month. Apparently labor shortages, probably bc they refuse to pay their employees anything near a reasonable salary despite being basically a monopoly.And to replublic, do not reply to this saying you want to resolve my issue by getting in touch with my local branch, bc they don't actually care/won't do anything.

      I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against Republic Services in ************************* regarding their failure to cancel my service and their subsequent billing practices.In March 2024, we sold our apartments and no longer required the trash service provided by Republic Services. I contacted them on March 28, 2024, to request the cancellation of my service. After several attempts, I managed to reach ****** the account manager responsible for my account, who assured me that he would send the necessary paperwork to finalize the cancellation. However, I never received this paperwork.Despite numerous follow-up attempts via phone calls, emails, voicemails, and SMS, Republic Services has continued to bill me for services that I no longer need. I have documented all my communications with the company, yet they persist in sending invoices and, most recently, have threatened to turn me over to a collection agency for these unpaid bills.This situation has caused undue stress and potential financial harm. I am seeking the assistance of the BBB to resolve this matter and to ensure that Republic Services ceases their billing practices and cancels my account as requested.

      On 6/10/24, I received a letter from RS stating that my services were being cancelled at the end of June citing safety concerns. I called CS to confirm and was told they would call me back. I had to call again on 6/14 to get my answer. Yes, my services were being cancelled and no explanation as to what safety concerns meant. I went with a better service and scheduled a pickup for their cans. I was told they would be picked up 7/8 and they weren't. Spoke to CS 7/9 and told they would be picked up 7/16, they were not picked up. I spoke to CS AGAIN and was told the cans would be picked up sometime during the week of 7/15. This is insane! They cancelled my service without providing a satisfactory answer and now it seems like they are refusing to pick up their cans. I need some help looking into this, because it's crazy!

      I am extremely dissatisfied with the up charges and recent change in quarterly pricing for waste management services in my neighborhood. The discrepancy in pricing between myself and my neighbors who moved in at the same time is both frustrating and unjustifiable.Personally, I am currently paying $77.61 per quarter for a single regular trash bin, while my neighbor pays $75 for the same time period but receives both a regular trash bin and a recycling bin. The fact that I am paying more for a single bin compared to my neighbor who has an additional recycling bin is nonsensical and unfair.Upon contacting local authorities for an explanation, I was given the run-around with no clear justification provided for the disparity in pricing. What is even more concerning is that numerous other residents in my neighborhood are facing similar issues of unexplained price discrepancies for identical services.This disparity in pricing is a serious concern that demands immediate attention and resolution. It is unacceptable for the exact same service to be priced drastically differently for different customers, especially when there is no clear rationale for these discrepancies. Attempting to rectify the situation by adding a recycling bin led to an exorbitant increase in my quarterly bill to $195, which is simply unreasonable and unjust.I urge the waste management company to address this issue promptly and transparently. Fair and equitable pricing should be a fundamental principle for all customers receiving the same service, and it is imperative that these inconsistencies are rectified to ensure fairness and transparency in pricing for all residents in the neighborhood.

      We had ******** Sanitation prior to when they were bought by Republic Services (sanitation). Our experience with Republic Services has been the worst experience with any sanitation or utility company. There were several times where they picked up a day or two later than our pickup day and one missed pickup that they would not resolve because a couple business days passed before I was able to call and get through. I cancelled my account that day, but they still charged me for the upcoming month. I have called 4 times since to try to get my issue resolved and I can't get through (various disconnected calls, once I was even asked to take a survey after not speaking to anyone). I tried to use the online chat but it doesn't answer my questions and tells me to call since it can't help. So frustrating and we will not use this company again!

      Republic services keeps increasing their prices. This months billing had a 19.5% increase. The National Average for the price of gas was 3.49 today versus 3.53 a year ago. Thus the increase for fuel charges is not legitimate. My husband and I are senior citizens and manually recycle our plastics, glass and tin cans because this company wont do recycling. I never see any indication of a senior discount on the bill. Please investigate this company. Ill be looking for another trash service.
