      Republic Services have repeatedly not picked up either my trash or my recycling or both over the last several months. When I try to call them to cancel my Service, they act like they cannot hear me on the phone. This business is a disgrace.

      Terrible and sketchy company! After years of trash cans being dumped in the street after pickup, oftentimes broken or cracked, refusal to pick up yard waste not in the container, and rising rates, we finally canceled our service. Not only did I find out they charged us extra for an extra trashcan for a year without informing us, but they charged us $100 to remove three cans and then tried to prorate an extra hundred dollars because they said cancellations only went through at the end of the month, regardless of when our cancel. Stay far, far away from this company and go with another local provider. Would not recommend to a single soul! Terrible customer service as well. Ugh.

      Even after attempting to terminate service and paying what I was told was the final adjusted payment in full, my credit card was charged for a full billing cycle of 3 months. My credit card had auto pay disabled. This is being disputed now through my credit card.Service was originally bought by provider from another garbage collection company. I did not initiate or request service from this provider. My original invoice was much higher than the previous company, and included billing for a yard waste bin that I didnt have and wasnt provided. I had called and adjusted my billing rate for garbage (I thought) and received a credit for the yard waste fees. I was quoted a rate that was more inline with my old service. On the next full garbage billing received (10/1/2022), the reduced garbage rate was not included. I initiated service cancelation on 10/2 online, which was a Sunday outside of providers customer service call in hours. I received communication on 10/4 that I needed to call to cancel service, which I did that day. I was told that bin pick up only happened the first week of the month, and since I had tried to cancel on 10/2 and 10/4 (even though this was before receiving the first service in that month or billing cycle), I could not schedule a bin pickup or cancel service until November. I assumed an updated invoice would be provided before the 3 month billing cycle was due, but I did not. I contacted provider through online portal on 10/17/22 concerning an updated final invoice. I received a response that billing would be updated 12/31/22. I called provider on 10/20/22, and was provided and paid for what I was told was the final adjusted payment due. Despite this, in addition to paying my final adjusted payment, my credit card was charged for a full billing cycle of 3 months. Additionally, within the month of October, I received notice from the provider that they would not be providing service one week, and this month is not completed yet.

      I was switched to the horrible company with no notification starting in June of this year! I have had billing issues since that moment in time. No call backs, little assistance with what has been happening, and promises I would get call backs. The information on their bills is incorrect and when you try to try a valid number it is a struggle. We need proper notification when we are getting a switch of services and at the bare minimum the information on their bills of who to contact has to be ******

      I started with this trash, literally and figuratively, service in November 2020 at $90 a quarter. Over the past 2 years they have steadily jacked up their prices and my latest bill is now at $145 a quarter. They claim the price increase is due to fuel prices. Fuel prices have dropped, yet their prices have steadily increased. I had the same service the entire time so that wouldn't be a reason for the drastic price increases. I cancelled my service with them the day I received my latest bill. This company is exactly what they deal with; trash.

      As a result of talking with neighbors about Republic Services, I became aware that I pay $577.77 per quarter for residential service which is 1 trash cart 95/96 Gal, 1 lift per week and 1 recycle cart 95/96 gal., one lift per week. Two of my neighbors, only 2 and 3 houses away, pay $125.06 each for identical service. Hmmm....what's wrong with this picture......3 households within the same block, all with only 2 people in each household, two pay $500 per year for service, the 3rd pays $2,300 a year for the identical service.When I called Republic, I was transferred from local billing to ****** in the rate department in AZ, who very professionally, made an adjustment to my rate retroactive to 10/1. My rate was reduced to $234.21, still almost twice my neighbor's rates. In Dec. 2020 my bill was $339.10. The bill has increased every quarter since then, resulting in a 70% increase over 8 quarters. ****** told me that she couldn't compare rates, because sometimes new customers get a special deal. I asked how I might go about requesting a refund for the at least the past 2 years. She was not able to do that, nor give me information about how to resolve disputes with the company, other than contacting the local provider. She was not able to give me a contact at that location .My hope would be to secure a refund to approximate some parity with my neighbor's. But more importantly, I hope to point out the absence of ethics in Republic Services business practices! If you look at their website, they proudly tout their ethics and compliance!

      Good morning,Thank you for your interest in resolving this issue. My account # is **************. I have been consistently charged about 5 times what my neighbors have been been charged for identical service. That residential service is identified in the the original review. I would like to be reimbursed $2,606.93 AND have my rate going forward adjusted to no more than $150 per quarter to continue the service I currently receive.The reimbursement request is for what I believe were excess charges that I paid between Dec. 30, 2020 and Sept 28, 2022. Because you do not have a transparent rate structure, I simply based my definition of excess on whatever I was charged over $100 per quarter during that time period. My neighbors were being charged $68.95 quarterly in Oct of 2020, when I paid $339.12. By October 2022, they were billed $125.06 I believe that my request is more than reasonable, because you have overcharged me more than 2 years and I'm still ensuring that you continue to charge me a small amount more than my neighbors.       Beware of Republic Services charging for container pick-up after you cancel services. Had I known that Republic Service would use a bait and switch tactic by offering cheap introductory pricing than over the course of 12 months they would increase rated including Fuel surcharges beyond what competitors charge, I would never have moved from my previous trash/recycle provider! Never again will I do business with this unethical organization.

      We have an ongoing contract for pick up twice per week. In the past 6 months their service has been horrible. They never come on their scheduled day, never inform us that they are not coming. We have to call to let them know they did not show up. What kind company is this? They should at least know they did not pick up and reach out to the customer. Absolutely terrible at communicating. NO HELP EVER.

      Terrible Company. Constant random increases in service cost without any communication. The massive "fuel surcharges" to raise it another 50%. Once the bill was consistently 200%+ higher than a competitor quote I called to cancel this at will business agreement and was told their policy was to charge through the end of the calander month with no explanation of why.They don't know the value of their service, can't seem to manage their own cost effectively, and most importantly have zero respect for the customer. Terrible company.

      They Rip Off their Customers! I moved into a Rental in ********* and cans were there. I was charged over $50 a can. IF wanted to recycle.., would be that amount for each additional can! Then when I vacated they sent me email for a credit of $87.35 then sent me check for $18. I inquired WHY the difference: they said charged for pickup of can that was Already there! Talk about S******* their Customers! Definitely would NOT use ever again or Recommend! Everyone stay Clear!
