I received bill with a rate increase of over $45. Naturally, I compared with their competitor and found a lower price. Due to rate increase and services that seems to have excuses for being a day late 50% of the time so I decided to cancel. When I called the company to cancel I was told there would be a removal fee of $88. I believe this a strong arm tactic to keep me from canceling my service with them. At this point I didnt care continue my service with such a shady company like this one and canceled anyway.Republic Services Inc

This company is terrible to work with and deserves negative stars, but I have to mark a star so 1 it is. There has been no solution to my problem after several attempts. Their customer service doesn't know what they are doing. After holding for a long time you get a different representative each time and they just read the notes from the last representative as if they have any validity. I also emailed them but I received no response. I requested a refund check since 3/21/2022 and I was told I would receive the refund in 6 to 8 weeks. SIX (6) MONTHS have past and I still have not received my refund. Every time I call they just get me off the phone by saying: "give it another week" or "the check is in the mail" or "I'll have a supervisor contact you about this complaint" but nothing happens. Once again I requested to speak with their manager and after holding for a long time, I am finally transferred to her and she tells me the check has been in the mail since 9/5/2022 and they have no control over the mail my choice is to keep waiting or do a stop payment and start over. I don't know what to believe anymore? Are they just lying to me or do they really have no control over anything over there, not even the managers?! I didn't want to keep waiting for the mail but I also didn't want to stop payment and start the process all over again because I figure it will only give them an excuse to keep telling me to keep waiting for the refund. I asked to speak with the manager's supervisor and she told me she will stop payment and overnight the check to me and the process will only take 5 days. I have heard promises from them before and I am afraid those 5 days will only turn into more weeks of waiting. I don't believe what they say anymore because they have made promises before and have not kept them. I will give them another chance but if I don't receive a refund check as promised, my next step will have to be to file a complaint with the BBB.Republic Services Inc

I will be canceling my service. There are constant delays in pickups. Now I've been told the day of my recycling pickup, in the pouring rain, that I have to pull my recycling in and wait another two weeks. I've paid for biweekly recycling, not monthly. I understand there are shortages but Republic should not be selling a service that they cannot deliver. I would not recommend them to anyone.Republic Services Inc

Absolutely Terrible customer service! Had same Dumpster through 3 different companies it is 16 years old and went to cancel services because business is for sale and they would not come remove old ugly Dumpster after an entire month of calling and them telling me they would or that I keep to file this email or that email then to say someone had to come out and do an inspection on my property. Ummm, no... I said remove it and cancel services so that doesn't mean leave something on my property until you want to remove it after I was told sending an email was all I needed to do. THEN they say I. Responsible for damages to unit.... it's 16 YESRS OLD! If anything they should apologize for leaving such an ugly yard ornament on my property for a month when it's for sale! Literally the bottom is falling out of the dumpster! Such a joke of a company! Luckily there are some really good new companies with better prices and nice dumpsters now!Republic Services Inc

Horrific service and no communication. My trash has been picked up twice in 3 months. Every time I place missed pick up and follow up with phone call, ** told they will be there following week, which never happens. They have no trouble sending bills, which essentially pre-pay for services you dont get. Almost feel bad for their customer service ***** who are all nice but basically unable to help. I feel that its also an environmental issue as my trash ends up festering on the street for weeks. They should not be in business. I was sympathetic when they told me there was a shortage of drivers but this has gone on too long. Will be seeking another provider and demanding a refundRepublic Services Inc

30% Fee Increase With No Warning On 8/14/22 Republic Services increased our fees by about 30% without any warning. Our amount was previously $167.04 and is now $206.97 with no change in service. But read on, what am I paying for?Missed Pickups = ************ At the beginning of the year (2022) they told me recycled pickup changed to Fridays. So, I put my recycling out on Fridays (before ****) to be sure I would not miss the truck. They have literally picked it up maybe 3 times on a Friday since then. Every week I have to call and tell them they missed it. And, every week they say we have escalated the service and someone will call. No one ever calls.There are 5 other trash services licensed in my area: Waste Management, Area Disposal, etc. But, to cancel service Republic wants about $100 to take their bins back.Republic Services Inc

1 starRepublic Services recently lost the contract in ********** **. They collected their trash and recycling bins across the town on the same day. My account was paid in full through the end of the month. Rather than return my balance, Republic attempted to assess me a container removal charge of $65. I made several calls to dispute the charges; Republic continually hounded me for a past due invoice. I finally made progress today, but had to argue to get the full container removal fee reversed from my account which resulted in a credit balance. Republic is going to take 4 weeks to return my money. On top of all of this, they attempted to charge me for the 3 month period AFTER they had lost the contract.Republic Services are crooks.....I can only imagine how many people lost money because they had auto-pay setup.Review fromLS.

I wont be purchasing any more bulk pickup tags from Republic, and will also petition the ************** **** to terminate their contract with Republic as our city has had awful service with large item pickup. Multiple calls with promises that the item would be picked up by 7pm that day and its been a week now. One ****** resident had their item on their curb for 3 weeks. On one of my calls to Republic, when I voiced my concern about my neighbors being tired of seeing my item out in front of my house and that it was too heavy for me to haul back into my garage, the representative actually suggested I ask my neighbor for help to haul it back!Republic Services Inc

a really costly service provider. called to cancel service because republic has gotten so uncompetitive. Service rep was rude and I cold barely understand him. They also charge $30 to pick up their container. WOW - wish I could give less than one star.Republic Services Inc

Service for pick up is great. However once we all got talking about our bills. We had bills ranging in price from$135?to mine which is 295.. several different prices. After a few phone calls mine was lowered. Think I should have been reembursed for previous bills. We all have same size cans, same day pick up so why is one bill 135 and mine 295. I guess I am at beginning of the street so I should have the biggest bill. Ripoff!Republic Services Inc
