1 starI have received no response from this company regarding a lack of service. I placed tree limbs in front of my house on 9/11 that met the requirements listed on their website. Per the website, "All small trees, shrubs, brush trimmings, must be stacked or tied together in a manner to allow the crews to reasonably lift the bundle into the truck, no bundle or stack shall exceed 40 pounds in weight". The limbs were stacked an not tied together, which is okay according to this statement. My trash pickup dates were 9/12 and 9/15. These tree limbs were not picked up on 9/12 and I did call. I was told they would come back out and pick it up that same day and if not it would be 9/13 at the latest. fast forward to 9/15, the tree limbs were still not removed and I had to once again call. I spoke with a supervisor who was very unprofessional and flat out rude. she cut me off multiple times during the conversation and stated that the limbs would not be removed unless tied although the website states otherwise. I have also not received a call back from her regarding them coming back to get the last three bundles. I did tie them together only because I want this all to be over with. I fear that someone will run them over or that they will be moved to the street and someones car will be damaged. There has not only been a lack of communication on this company's end but also a severe lack of professionalism. I am a paying customer who just wants the service I pay for each month to be performed. If I could give zero stars, trust me I would.Review fromDanielle G

This company is horrible. Unfortunately the City I recently moved too recommended them as they contract with them. I had used Republic years ago and had my doubts, but called to sign up for their service anyway, being new to the area and unaware of any other services. I was charged $150 to start services and deliver cans for trash and recycle. Three weeks into picking up our trash, they already missed a pick up. When I called I was told there was a four hour delay. No one ever showed up. This was a Friday. No one picked up over the weekend. Called again Monday and was told trash would be picked up possibly Tuesday. This was after only 3 weeks of service! Called Sept 7 to cancel services as I have found a local company who does trash and recycle for about half of what Republic charges. Was told I was required to keep their service until Sept 30 and my cans wouldn't be picked up til Oct. 7. Even though I have no contract with them. Why were they not able to just pick them up this week and send me a bill for the services I have used for the last month? Pretty obvious why : they want to bill out to October so they can have their full quarter paid, whether I continue to use their service or not. Horrible billing practices. Terrible customer service. And possible fraud in their business practices, meant to take advantage of their customers. NEVER,NEVER, NEVER use this company. $380 out the window for exactly FOUR trash pick **** Unbelievable. If I could give negative stars on this review I would give them negative 10.Republic Services Inc

I was a customer for over 20 years. I sold my home in May if 2022. I promptly paid EVERY BILL online and early. I am currently owed $66 in refund-I was told a check was mailed that I never received from June. A manager looked into it and said would get that check canceled and a new one issued in August. I was told check was issued august 17 but 2 weeks later have not received it-I was told very rudely on the phone that we dont control the mail. I mail things all the time and even the slowest mail is less than 2 weeks, furthermore, I paid online-why am I waiting months for a check in the mail. I just want my refund owed. I dont feel much like a valued customer.Republic Services Inc

Its crazy how much we pay for trash pick up and on more then one occasion they didnt pick up our trash, I called and they claim they will have the truck come out well not. How do they pick up one side of the street and not the other. I also asked in the beginning for a bigger trash can then what I had they gave me the *********** and not the trash one, told me now I have to pay 50 dollars which I shouldnt. Missed trash pickup on 8/24 and 8/31. Called daily, on hold for nearly an hour, with call back nearly as long. Have estimated 12 calls since 08/25. Each time I spoke with a rep, or supervisors, all promised to reschedule a pickup "no later than ..." My trash container is now covered in maggots at the end of the drive next to the sidewalk where families or children walk. This is a city contract with ***************, which my tax dollars pay for. I am beyond furious, this is unacceptable. It is the second time this has happened. In addition, the city has often dropped my trash can in the middle of my drive entrance. I have reattached the wheels twice. This waste management company, including customer service, is unbelievably poor. I sincerely doubt if my trash pickup will ever be without incident, and I expect this to happen again. The company may "want to investigate my feedback further" but I doubt that will get my trash bin emptied.Republic Services Inc

I have a business and my bill everything month has been substantially going up. The last two months 20$/month increase each month. I recently called to cancel my service and go with a less expensive company that has just arrived in our small town. When I called to cancel my service they claimed that I had a contract with their company for three years. When I asked to be sent a copy of the "contract" the csr said they couldn't send me a copy. When I asked for a copy of the "undisclosed fee amount" for cancelling the service, the csr yet again told me it was based on my "contract". He said it could be anywhere between 100 and **** dollars for cancelling my service. I still have yet to find a copy of a commercial service agreement on their website or have one sent to me as well as their "fees" for cancelling commercial service. I pay almost 200$/month for their service. It is getting ridiculous.Republic Services Inc

This company is HORRIBLE and deserves negative stars, but I have to mark a star so 1 it is There has been one problem after another. Their customer service is just as bad. You have to hold 45 mins just for then to tell you what you want to hear " I'll schedule a missed pick up for you" or "I'll have a supervisor contact you about this complaint" no pick up and no phone call. First off, there is more trash left on my street after they have dumped the cans than we have all week long. There is NO WAY this much trash is missing the dumpster. Secondly, they took over services in my neighborhood in April and since then my recycling has been missed 10x's. I should not have to wait outside my home between 6am'7:30 to ensure I receive a pick up. Four pick *** ago, I but the recycling trim/lining of my trampoline in the recycling bin. The worker said it couldn't be in the recycling bin. No problem, I removed it to the trash and she dumped the bin right then. The next 4 pick *** she skips my bin. I call to get a resolution and they tell me about the trampoline trim that was thrown away and never seen again. Once again today, the only thing in my bin is boxes, cans, bottles everything that can be recycled and still no pick up. I've been recycling all my life and bc of this company I'd rather they pick up the recycling bin and drop off another trash bin because I'm tired of digging in my recycling bin to put it in my trash bin. The recycling things are being trashed so what's the purpose of the route. Someone is being lazy and I don't like it because I pay MY money faithfully. I've never been late. This trash company is bogus and needs to be dismantled. I'm sick of itRepublic Services Inc

This union owned company is TERRIBLE! The city of ******** has done a complete injustice to it's residents by changing our trash and recycling services from Waste Management to this horrendous company. It's now more expensive and the services are slow and they frankly, just don't care. **************** is terrible! We requested to swap out our full sized bins for smaller ones and we have had to call 3 times over the last 3 weeks, only to be told today that now they're out of inventory and it's going to be another 3 weeks. It was confirmed that we're still paying a higher rate for bins we requested to exchange nearly a month ago. We can't wait for this company to go on strike, like they did a neighboring town, so our trash can pile up on the streets like it did for them. This was a clear political move by the progressive counsel members who are now in charge. It has been confirmed that Republic employees are sending campaign money to these progressives for a November run. Meanwhile, we the people, have no choice for our services. More money for us for crappier service all for political gains. Thank a liberal!Republic Services Inc

My trash is frequently not picked up as scheduled but usually is after I call and complain. Last week however they failed to pick up on my scheduled day, Friday. I called and they said they would pick up on Saturday. They failed. I called on Monday and they said they would get it on Tuesday. They failed again so I called late Tuesday afternoon. The rep said I was on the schedule and they would get it before 6:30 p.m. that day. They failed again. I called on Wednesday and the rep said it would get picked up on Thursday. They failed again. I called and they said they would get it on my next scheduled pick-up day, Friday, and that I could leave extra garbage by the can and they would pick that **. (** ******, you can't leave garbage unprotected from wild-life.) I'm not holding my breath that they will honor this either. The worst part of all this ( after four failed promises and five phone calls) is that I still have two months left on my quarterly payment and I'm sure they will not reimburse me if I leave today.Republic Services Inc

I would never do business with this company. They are one of the most expensive with terrible customer service. I cancelled my account end of June. I was charged $111 for them to pick the empty containers. Despite more than 10 calls and several scheduled pick-up the cannister are still in my driveway. I am not sure what can I do here. really frustrating.Republic Services Inc
