Canceled this trash service on June 5,2022. The agent that took my call told me my services could not be terminated until June 30. They prorated my **** and had me pay for the month of June and said I would have to pay $60 for 2 trashcans removal. However it seems they are ripping people off with the Total fuel/ Environmental recovery fee they just added to customers in my area. This new Total fuel/ Environmental recovery fee is the reason I left them for a new service company. I was threatened with legal action if I was to remove the cans off my property before their pick up date which was a month after I canceled service. I've called their customer service support several times and spoken with agents about removing the extra fees to no avail. The original **** was $149..63 which would have covered Jun-Aug, I've paid ***** as directed. Now they are billing me $60 dollars for removal and $33.60 Total fuel/ Environmental recovery fee, it looks as they are trying to recoup money for the remaining balance originally billed for services.Republic Services Inc

I just cancelled my services with Republic Services, they ***** the customers and my rates have gone up every billing period since November 2020. The last billing period it went up over *****% and since the beginning of 2021 it's gone up *******%. I called a competitor and got a much better price, contacted Republic and they can pick up the containers but I will be billed until the end of August. Today is August 2nd. I WOULD NOT recommend anyone use this company!Republic Services Inc

Since taking over our previous trash company 8 months ago, Republic has skipped our road at least once a month. Resulting in someone having to call them. This last time they have been called 3 separate days by me and still have not been picked up.Republic Services Inc

1 starWe paid for 3 months of service. Our garbage was not picked up for 3 weeks. I called repeatedly and was told it would be picked up the next, then the next day, etc. Another time I called they guaranteed me it would be picked up that evening by 6:00. And once again, they never showed. I had to get another garbage service to pick up garbage that had been sitting out for 3 weeks. I called and canceled their service several times. Over a month later I was told I would receive a refund for the last 2 months. Then, I received a bill and a phone call saying it was past due and should be paid immediately. I called them again. I was told that was charges for a past due balance. What? They said we would get a 24.00 check for overpayment. I can not believe they run their business like that. I have used Republic for my garbage service for over 20 years. Their price for the past year has been on a steady increase. The charge for the latest quarter increased by 23% to $352 (that equals $25.00 a weekly pickup). For July they missed 3 of the 5 pickup days. **************** was poor with one suggestion to leave the container out for the next 4 days and they would probably provide pickup service. I have just contracted with a local service for weekly pickup at a cost of $60.00 a quarter. Goodbye Republic.Republic Services Inc

I have a Republic Services account, which is fully paid. I had my can out by ****, even though we normally are not serviced until the afternoon. The pickup on my street was supposed to be on Thursday 7/28. The recycling was picked up, but, no ones trash was picked up. This is an increasingly common problem with Republic. Everyone left their cans out overnight for a Friday pickup, 7/29. By early Friday afternoon there was a pick, except for my can which had been out since Thursday morning. I call Republic customer service at 4 PM on Friday asking about the lack of service and they promised a crew would be there Friday afternoon to pickup. There was no pickup on Friday and now, Saturday, I have a full can with more garbage to come and the Republic customer service is closed for the weekend. I will lodge a complaint with our HOA about this poor service.Republic Services Inc

They stole my personal trash Receptacle. I called and spoke to supervisor ******* who did not help at all. Tried to say it qas our can not fitting arm right, which was a lie. We have had similar can for over 4 years prior to buying a new exact can which cost ****** about 6 months ago. This can has worked perfectly all that time in past. Thwy will not reimburse me. Their prices started at ***** every 3 months and is now over ****** every 3 months. Do not only do their prices increase every 3 months but they are also theives.Republic Services Inc

Canceled this trash service in March 2022. The woman that took my call was very nice, however it seems she did nothing to cancel the service and I keep getting bills for the month of March. I was paid up through March...you would think $189 would cover that. They didn't even pick up the trash in February because of the snow. Now I have been turned over to a collection agency; really, for $78? The day I canceled, I got another trash service...for SO much less. And now I have the satisfaction of seeing all my neighbors switch to the cheaper (and better) trash service. I also had this trash company for 24 years...this is how they treat a loyal customer. Residential curb side service was missed and I called to schedule/reschedule a pickup and was notified my account had been canceled. I did not receive notice that service was no long available in my area and told I had been sent a post card as my notice of cancellation and a refund had been made (since I pay semiannually). I have received neither a refund nor a notice of cancellation. Pi__ poor business ethics and horrible customer service.Republic Services Inc

The rising rates are out of control. The extra fees are through the roof and those rates continue to climb(even when gas prices are low).But wait, if you can no longer afford Republic, they will stick it to you again if you cancel their service. Today, I cancelled their services and asked them to pick up their cans. They said there would be a $30 fee. WHAT???I said I would return them myself. They replied that was not allowed. I said ok, I would stick their cans in the backyard. They said i would be charged $200.......OUTRAGEOUS.Republic wants their cake and eat it too.Note: My wife and I are retired on Social Security and in bad health. She is a cancer patient and we struggle to pay our bills and now we have a gun to our heads held by Republic. Shame on them. Republic Services is terrible. It's just another headache for my wife and I to suffer thru.Republic Services Inc
