This review is pertaining my u-box experience.After having our moving truck from ********* to ******* canceled 2 days before the move, it left us scrambling to figure out a new option only to realize the only option that we could afford with two days notice was to go back and use the u-box.While booking, I said I needed one box to one location and two to another. He said no problem - you can update that soon. A week goes by and I call again to ask how to have one box go to ******. They assure me it can be done and I have to wait until it's shipped to split the contracts. 2 days go by, I call again. I must wait more time but I have notes added onto my file. Repeat for another week until I'm told I have to wait until all 3 get to the same location. From ** to ******* it cost $2500 but then I get quoted $1000 to have my things shipped two hours away for this second move. I talked to several associates who couldn't help so I opened a case file only for them to keep reassigning it so the time kept getting pushed off as I called every day for an update on my file. Today, I receive an email saying they listened to my calls and that I was never told that one box had a different location and here are all the savings I got from getting a u-box instead of a truck oh and now it's $1300 to move your things to your new location! How nice. Thanks for considering the last minute plane tickets across the country and hotel I had to get anyways because I had no where to live.I will never ever deal with uhaul again...I understand things happen but to be told I was lying and reroute the conversation instead of hearing me out? In December 2023 my neighbor backed a truck into my car, he refused to give me his insurance. I had to take him to small claims court. The U-haul cause $4,700 of damage. My apartments did nothing. U-haul should be liable, most people should not be driving these. I am reporting the corporation. You need to be investigated!U-Haul International Inc

I GOT LOCKED INSIDE THE BACK OF THE U HAUL VAN WHILE I WAS PACKING THINGS INSIDE OF IT. PEOPLE HAVE DIED THIS WAY BUT THE EMPLOYEES AT U HAUL DO NOT WARN YOU ABOUT THIS RISK WHEN YOU PICK UP YOUR VEHICLE. THIS IS THE HEIGHT OF SELFISH IMMORALITY. HAD I NOT BEEN IN A PUBLIC PARKING LOT, NO ONE WOULD HAVE BEEN AROUND TO HERE MY SCREAMING AND BANGING ON THE WINDOWS AND I WOULD HAVE DIED. IT'S LUCKY TOO THAT I HAD THE DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW OPEN. THANKS TO THE ***** NEIGHBOR WHO CAME TO LET ME OUT AND SHAME ON U HAUL FOR THE IMMORALITY OF RENTING A DANGEROUS VEHICLE TO THE PUBLIC . IF THEY STAND IDLY BY KNOWING PEOPLE COULD DIE IN THEIR LOCKED TRUCKS THEY WILL LOSE CUSTOMERS WHO SHOULD NOT BE TREATED LIKE THEY'RE DISPOSABLE. I WAS GENEROUS TO PICK UP THIS VAN TO HELP MY FAMILY MEMBER WITH MOVING AND I DID NOT DESERVE TO GET LOCKED IN THE BACK OF THIS TRUCK. THERE ARE NO HANDLES ON THE INSIDE TO LET YOU OUT. THE METAL BARRIER BETWEEN THE SEATS AND THE BACK MAKE THIS INTO A CAGE WHERE YOU CAN'T EVEN ESCAPE THROUGH THE ***** DOORS. THE MOVING VAN I RENTED IS MADE BY **** WHO SHOULD BE STRUNG UP FOR THEIR CRIMINAL NEGLIGENCE AND GO TO PRISON FOR RANDOMLY KILLING OFF HUNDREDS OF CUSTOMERS. THE CONCEPT OF KILLING PEOPLE IN LOCKED VEHICLES DID NOT EXIST WITH OLD FASHION CARS AND TO THIS DAY, THEY ARE STILL PERMITTED TO SELL THEM.U-Haul International Inc

**1-Star Review for U-Hauls U-Box Service**We are extremely dissatisfied with U-Hauls U-Box service. Over two weeks ago, we shipped a U-Box and have been in constant communication with their customer service team via phone, email, and text messages. Despite multiple reassurances from U-Haul that our U-Box would be delivered by the agreed-upon deadline, we were recently informedafter our 20th contact with themthat the shipment would not arrive on time.The lack of accountability and transparency has been shocking. Every time we spoke to a representative, we were given vague excuses and false promises. After being told by their own staff that delays like this are common, we feel that U-Hauls business practices are deceptive and unprofessional. This is not the type of service one expects when trusting a company with important shipments.We are now facing the potential cancellation of an important event due to U-Hauls failure to deliver as promised. The financial and reputational damage this has caused us is immense. U-Haul has not provided any real solutions, and we are left to resolve this disaster on our own.We feel let down, cheated, and disrespected by U-Haul. If you are considering using their services, especially for anything time-sensitive, we strongly urge you to look elsewhere.U-Haul International Inc

U-Haul has severe customer service and software application issues that are systemic to their organization and may have been intentionally designed to frustrate its paying customers.1. U-box reservations cannot not be amended once placed by you or their employees at their store locations. The extent of their employee capabilities is to delete and re-add or enter notes on an existing reservation that no one reads.2. No one in customer service can tell you where a specific U-box is located. Furthermore, you can be notified that your U-boxes have shipped and in fact they were not. They have no technology for you to track a specific U-box by assigned number. Technology most shipping firms have incorporated into their apps.3. There is no escalation process in **************** to resolve U-box issues. They constantly give you a customer service run around and always state they are trying to help but cannot resolve issues that have to do with U-box scheduling or traffic (whatever that means). No one takes responsibility or accountability and forget about getting excited with them because they will just put you back on hold until you finally hang up. Someone in **************** Management should be replaced.4. You can almost never reach the U-Haul store manager or representative you originally reserved your U-Box from. They give some convoluted central **************** telephone network or tell you to download their app which will not perform the tasks stated for your U-Box rentals. Furthermore, their app is as slow as molasses when it functions. Someone in IT ******************** and QA Management should be replaced.5. I originally ordered 3 U-boxes #********. I needed a fourth box and took 7 items to the U-Haul store to add to the 4th U-box. The clerk at U-Haul could not modify or amend my original order to include that 4th U-box but he assured me that all four boxes would ship together as ordered. Only 1 box arrived #******** and it was the one with 7 items.U-Haul International Inc

U- Haul is the absolute worst company I had ever seen. I will make sure that I tell everybody to not use your company. You tell me to use an app and put an app on my phone when I'm standing next to a breathing human being and you tell me that they have to do my reservation and then they tell me that corporate has to do the reservation. Your left hand does not know what the right hand is doing.So do everybody a favor and fix your stupid policyU-Haul International Inc

I was injured after someone driving a uhaul that was also texting slammed into us. The entire experience to get damages from uhaul turned out to be a nightmare. They have a law firm in ********, called ***********************, and a lawyer called *****************************, who seemed more interested in billable hours than resolving what should have been an easy file to close. As I have waited over six years now, my injuries have gotten a lot worse. I am now left with life altering health, and no well being. To say this was a hit and run is being polite. My family will be obtaining second mortgages on their homes to help me with my recovery, though it will no longer be a successful outcome, as it could have been had these greedy lawyers done their jobs. My own lawyer put a lien of 200k on my file before I fired her for the same reasons.As a small business owner I cannot imagine hiring a bunch of criminals to represent my business, and sadly it will now cost uhaul far more than if they had hired a law firm who understood law.U-Haul International Inc

Week 3 still waiting for our belongings. This company is a joke. The employees are incompetent and not helpful. This is the worst experience ive ever had with a company. If i could give zero stars or negative stars i would. I recommend anyone moving to look into any other option other than Uhaul. I will never use them again and will tell everyone i know to never use them either. Im starting to think i will never see my belongings ever again.U-Haul International Inc

I brought my van in to get my tow hitch and wiring fixed because I ran over a deer and it ripped out the wiring. I waited one hour and it was fixed. I expected to pay but they said there was no charge! I was surprised and overjoyed! The service I recorded was fast and friendly.
