      I guess I should have read these reviews before I booked. I was charged for moving supplies I never ordered or obviously picked up since I didn't order them. When I saw the charge on my credit card it was too late to issue me a refund according to the store. Super shady business!

      I will never use this company ever again. We had a 26ft truck booked for our move and the day before we were to pick it up we were told we would have to drive from Canada to the US to pick up our truck. We had it booked for 2 months in advance and got screwed in the end. When talking to the manager to see what they would do to correct their s**** up he said they would cancel the booking but nothing else. U haul did not care one bit that they screwed us over for our long distant move and now we are left scrambling to find another truck last minute and it's turning out to cost us double what we had anticipated. Do not use this company! Chances are you will get shafted by U-Haul.

If so, U-Haul will find you equipment. A local U-Haul representative will call you by 6pm on June 27, 2023 to get agreement on and schedule available location, time and equipment.       I rented a 20ft and 2wheel tow dolly to move to ********, ** from **************, ** on June 9th, it took ** 30 hrs instead of 24hr, the transmission started to mess up we were only able to go no more than 70 miles the most, you push on the gas and the engine would just rev up not going anywhere, had to gas up every 3 hrs. do to the transmission problem, they charged us "6" days automatically when it only took us "4" pack, travel , unpack......Here's the good part.... I put in a complaint..spoke with "Regional Manger" *****************************( I can't post his #) and he proceeded to tell me......He can't reimburse me for any of my gas, he will call the company in which I turn(on June 12) the truck at and ask them about " does the truck in fact have a transmission problem and he will get back to me, I've called 3 times since and left messages and as of today......well he has yet to call me back! Disgusted, ***************************

      Resrerved a Uhaul June 14 in my home city, almost two weeks in advance from my move date. June 24th they call to tell me (on a weekend of course so every other truck rental company is closed), that the nearest truck they have that can accommodate what I need is in another town, a 2.5 hour drive away. DO NOT rent from these people. Deceptive doesn't even begin to describe them.

      I RENTED A U HAUL AND UHAULMOVERS TO LOAD MY UHAL TRUCK AND THE U-HAUL MOVERS ESSENTIAL MOVERS NOT ONLY SHOWED UP AN HOUR LATE REEKING OF MARAJUANA. THEY DAMAGED MY 73 INCH TV SCREEN, WHILE TRANSPORTING IT TO THE UHAUL TRUCK.AND DIDN'T SECURE IT AT ALL INSIDE THE UHAUL TRUCK. I REACHED OUT TO U-HAUL AND THEIR AFFLIATES ESSENTIAL MOVERS ON NUMEROUS OCCASSIONS AND CONSTANTLY GET THE RUNAROUND.

      I agree with the reviews below. This has truly been one of the worst experiences of my life. Starting with their ridiculous inoperative website to the beyond horrendous experience using their services, I am in shock that theyre still in business. I honestly wish I had just thrown my belongings away rather than use their services. In fact, that *** be what Ive done in the end because I have no idea where my belongings are. And their management team is incredibly rude and unprofessional. Its 3 AM and Im sleepless with worry over over this experience. And if you read their responses below, you can see that they truly dont care.

      Have been trying to reserve a **Box for 2 days now and their system will not process the reservation. It processed the moving help, and took my money for that, but not for the **Box shipment. I have tried their ***** number, online, and at a local store... each giving me the "well sorry, our system is down. Not sure what to do at this point. Just have to keep trying."finally just gave up on the **Box and rented a trailer instead. Hope to never need to use U-Haul ever again. They have seriously become horrible over the last few years.

      I was forced to pay fees in addition to tolls despite being registered with the toll authority. I sent an email, which was never responded to. I was then auto-charged "as a courtesy." Their "administrative fees" cost more than the tolls. This was on a rental they double-booked, and I had to drive halfway across town to pick up. Disorganized, and will do anything to bill you for extra money. Dishonest practices, I will never use them again.

      On June 1, 2023, I rented a 15' truck for a move from ************* U-haul in **********.All went well on the move and I left ********* around 315pm to return the truck back to **********. I had some scary moments as I drove and felt like the steering and brakes were not working, as I was out of control with the truck and thought I was going to crash, but could only manage to get the truck to stop on a very busy road in the right hand lane. I called the Matsqui U-haul, no answer x 2 calls. I called my son and he made a call thru the app, The guy who came to pick up the truck called and told me leave the keys under mat and I did not need to stay with the truck. My son picked me up. On June 7, we had a $883.46 charge on our credit card. We had no one call ** regarding this. The only phone calls we had were on Thursday at 645, Friday and Monday asking ** where the truck was!! Really? We asked them to call ** before charging our credit card. They said as soon as the truck comes back to the yard, they will contact **. No call!!They are claiming that I abandoned the truck and also left it in another city so this is why all the charges. They have lied to me and I have talked to the manager at the Matsqui place who said she did not make the charges but her manager is the one. Then I finally got a higher manager(supposedly) who was very rude and kept saying to me that he went to the truck(that is a lie) and that I abandoned it in the middle of an intersection(that is a lie) and why could I have not moved it 6 feet so his life was not at risk. He kept saying 'You abandoned the truck" my life was at risk and then yelled,," there was nothing wrong with the truck." I had to hang up on him as he was kept yelling that I left the truck. He would not even listen to me. I have asked for the paperwork on the truck inspection. Have not heard back yet. This is just a small piece of the story and this is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. No Stars

      I sincerely hope this company goes out of business. The cheap b******* wanted to try and make me go over an hour away to get a 10ft truck that I'd reserved TWO WEEKS in advance, the afternoon before my move, rather than give me a 15ft down the f****** road. You have to actually haggle with these mfs to get them to fix THEIR mistake. On top of that their movers scheduled through MovingHelp aren't vetted at all. The company that was supposed to unload me pulled a no call no show, and they couldn't and didn't do a **** thing about it. They couldn't find me a last minute replacement, I was expected to do that through their s***** app. Now they're dragging their feet about refunding me. Use Penske, or even a guy on *********** It's probably better than this ********.
