Awful! If I could give negative stars, I would! I rented the unit to be returned the following day at noon because my daughter was moving into an apartment. U-Haul changed my drop off time and refused to allow me to return it to the city I picked it up in to make other arrangements or I would be charge $500z pic another company! Rented large truck and trailer for ***** mile move; **************************************************************************************** side of the road from 1:00am until 11:00am. Family traveling had 3 small children and 4 pets. uhaul provided no accommodations leaving family and pets with their belongings stranded without access to bathroom or rest area (small children had to soil themselves sadly). UHAUL has falsely reported that they have spoken to customer but refuses to speak to customer and find resolution. The vehicles breakdown set family 14 hours behind schedule. These are the biggest liars , losers and scumbags of the car and truck rental business, was lied to 5 timed during booking and no manager would deal with issues or even get on the phone to deal with recorded phone calls of lies told by employees . These people do not care about any customers nor do they have any proper system of reservation or rental the biggest ************* in Canada.U-Haul International Inc

The worst experience of my life. I went for a simple hitch install on my Camry. A standard, non-hybrid common car that has never had any modifications done. All parts for the hitch are their own. For anyone that has done this before it shouldn't take anymore then around 20 minutes. They offered wiring for an additional cost and since I was here, I figured why not. The window I was given for for an hour. I figured approximately an hour and a half just to be safe. They almost a full four hours stating "needed time to charge a battery" and "complications". Clearly they didn't know what they were doing. I needed to go to work and the manager ***** just kept staring that he could remove the hitch and wires and it would take about the same as the amount of time as it would to simply finish it He kept promising completion in 15min. 40min. and then when I would remind him he would change the amount of time he claimed originally and then he changed what time he stated it. These people are so corrupt and dishonest. They even charged me additionally for the "extra time". Finally, they refused to give me any kind of a warranty on the work they did or on their parts.U-Haul International Inc

Uhaul is scamming people out of money Give a Reciept with amount of gas in truck then charge for 6 gallons saying it was full or half of tank when Reciepts shows how much. Uhaul is Doing Bad Bussiness.Go to Any moving company but Uhaul. They get Zero stars ***************** ******* ** beware of them.And there managers etc. I want my refund for 6 gallons when I only use 1 gallon Reciepts shows proof b******U-Haul International Inc

I rented a 15 foot cube van from them yesterday. After going 6 km (confirmed by the odometer) I put in $10 to return it to 9/16 of a tank--the same level as when I got it. After returning it they charged me for another 9 litres ($17) claiming the gas guage wasn't at the same level as when I got it. That means it took 15+ litres to travel 6 km. I've contacted the company twice now to see what they want to do to remedy the situation.U-Haul International Inc

I reserved a cargo van using my credit card online. When I got to the location, I was told that though the van was available, I would not be allowed to rent it because the address on my driver's license was not within city limits. I have two properties, both of which are in the same county, but one is about 30 minutes outside of the city in question. There was no indication of needing an in-city address anywhere on the site.I explained this to the customer service agent, and he said it was "a new rule." He then said he could rent me a box truck at a higher price. Annoyed, I told him that ***** but that I needed a truck that day, so whatever, I'd pay for the bigger truck. He then said they were all reserved. Well, why waste my time telling me I can rent a thing I can't rent? Twice now!I then asked for the $50 compensation fee which is offered to anyone whose reservation is unavailable. He agreed I should get it, but that his manager was out that day, and then proceeded to give me his managers "personal number." I went to the parking lot and called this "manager", but no one picked up and the voicemail was full.So, I got online and talked to U-Haul corporate customer service, who, to their credit, were very responsive. She called the store and spoke to the manager, who was apparently there the whole time. After about an hour and a half of waiting, she got me the bigger truck for the same price as the van and the $50 for the original unfulfilled reservation.This sounds like a sweet deal, but I wasn't charged the cheaper price. I paid more per mile for the larger truck, and I still haven't seen the $50. Now, I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt on the $50 (for some reason, I probably shouldn't at this point) because it hasn't been 5 days, and they say that's how long the bank takes.I contacted them about the difference in mileage charges. It took two tries and now they say I'll get the remaining money, but I haven't received any other communication on it.U-Haul International Inc

Hello ******, I apologize for the inconvenience. The ******************************** was $19.95 per rental period and $0.79 per mile. I reviewed the return receipt and that is what you were charged. I emailed you a copy of the reservation and the final receipt so you can see the rental period rate and per-mile rate are the same. As for the Reservation Guarantee, that was issued and refunds normally reflect on your card within 5 business days. You should have received a separate email confirming the credit yesterday morning. The corporate of U-haul. Take money from clients without providing service. In civilized nation like ours. A corporate can and will steal money from clients and deny the service or even allow clients to speak up or file a complaint. Once I reached the corporate office, i was told to just leave and forget what you paid for. Bottom line is i rented a storage and I can't access it. So my goods are trapped at a place i paid for and I can't access them. So they take my money and my goods.U-Haul International Inc

Don't know how you can improve but from the experience I just had renting this truck from U-Haul there is a definite need for improvement. This location was allright. The problem I had was nobody could get my reservation correct and I was sent to four different locations to get the truck I wanted. I made a reservation to pick up a 26 ft truck at 9am in Orange and left home at 3 am to find the system was down and couldn't get the truck. When I called around noon, the system was working but I was told my reservation was to pick up where I live and drop off where I was supposed to pick up and I would have to call the company to fix it. After an hour on the phone, I was told that everything was straightened out and could pick up the truck at a different location at 6pm. I went to that location at 6pm and no truck . I was told that they changed the pick up location because the truck I was supposed to pick up still wasn't returned. I had to call again and was sent to this location to pick up a truck the next morning. This location had the truck but said my reservation was for two days one way instead of the four days round trip I requested so more time wasted while they straightened that out. Then she fixed the return date but still had it as a one way rental for two days so when I returned the truck there were extra charges for mileage and days and more time wasted getting the amount owed corrected. Each time I was assured that everything was corrected and every single time there was a problem and I ended up wasting over 24 hours I needed for the move and over $100 for an extra night stay at a Motel 6, along with the frustration, stress and aggravation on top of everything else you have to deal with when you move. What can you do to improve for the next customer? What can you do to make me consider U-Haul the next time I need to rent a truck? What should I tell someone if they ask me if U-Haul is a good company to rent from?iU-Haul International Inc
