      I had a reservation to pick up a 26' foot van from U-Haul ******, **. The day of pickup they didn't have a truck but told me I could drive to the ******* area to pick one up. As I told the representative on the phone the car rental companies move needed cars to the necessary location they don't tell the paying customer to drive 3-4 hrs one way to pick up a vehicle. We waited until the following day when they did have a 26' truck (1st delay in an out of state move) inspected the vehicle on pickup, no visual issues. Upon returning later in the afternoon to hook up the vehicle tow trailer the U-Haul employee noticed a HUGE chunk missing from one of the back tires, THAT COULD HAVE BEEN DEADLY ON THE HIGHWAY. We didn't see it on inspection as it was probably on the downside of the tire and was compressed. They delayed our move out of state 3 hours waiting for roadside assistance to come and change the tire(not the problem and I thanked them for fixing it). I requested a full refund from U-Haul for a faulty product and potential deadly accident not just to our family but others on the road. Plus I had to ************ movers on both ends. They gave me a 1/4 of the rental back, I guess that is what potentially killing people is worth these days. The employees at the ****** location are awesome but U-Hual as a company...... Please don't tell me it was the Hurricane as I worked in the hospital in *************** and saw the heartache. Poor corporate planning.

      I shouldve known better when I walked into the storage area of the u haul self storage and truck rental business and almost ALL of the units had locks on them as if the bill was passed due. Initially I rented out the units for what was told to me to be 75$ a month. One was in my name and one was in my boyfriends name at the time because of hassle they gave me about putting the other unit on the card I used for the first unit which made no sense!! Not even a month into having these units and the bill was more than they promised and over a years time I had paid at times over 1,000$ a month for the two units but had no choice as I needed my stuff stored. I had to go into the store which was an hour from my house and pay cash because they would claim they didnt take my card over the phone or claim it wasnt working or they didnt take just a payment for one of the units and I had to pay for both. Total crock of bull because I called the uhaul customer care number which allowed me to not only use my card but also pay one just one of the units at the time and the other a few days later. I understand late fees but these charges were exponentially more than any late fees couldve been. The math wasnt mathing and Im not dummie. I wouldnt get receipts half the time they would claim I had to call back just to get a receipt! I filed a complaint with the *** and I plan on taking legal action because I was obviously being robbed. I was not allowed to change the storage unit into My name without bringing him up there when we were no longer together and not speaking and also in different cities. They had his info why couldnt he just be called to confirm it was going in my name?! I was taken advantage of and over time I attempted to have people help me get the belongings out but couldnt afford to pay them plus a truck on top of storage units costing me thousands of dollars. Eventually they claimed they couldnt reach me which was a lie and things were auctioned

      I had a terrible experience for returned my van, this was a lie. I picked up the cargo van at 1:01pm 12/20/2022 and returned it at 9:19am 12/21/2022. I was charged a second rental fee based on their contract term. Advertised price being $***** a day. Uhaul need to change their policy because I feel that I have been overcharged to rent a van that is ***** per day. I used it less than 24 hours. I used to rented van from Brooklyn location. Everything is good. It never happened to me like that. It was not my first time to rent uhaul van, so I trusted them. I didn't have to pay additional fees for the next day. That's their fault,. Even without notice. This is a fraud. I got disappointed for Staten Island uhaul this location which was totally *****. I would like to get the refund.

      I recently rented a box truck to move some appliances. Unfortunately theres ******* included with a 10 truck that is supposed to be able to fit a studio up to a 1 bedroom apartment. How does anyone move a whole apartment without a ramp? Anyway theres no refund for making a mistake, buyer beware lol. I just think Uhaul needs to include a ramp with any truck and official company line is not helpful! I hope no one else has stupidly rented a 10 truck thinking, of course theres a ramp ?? smdh.

      Reserved truck in my town, literally only moving 3 miles down the road. Go to do pre check-in online and reservation has changed to a town 30 minutes away. I'm not driving an extra hour of my day And paying 30 miles extra in mileage. I'll be making extra trips in a pickup truck and just using Penske next time.

      We purchased a large quantity of boxes and paid to have them delivered to our apartment on the third floor. The whole reason for having them delivered was due to me being a disabled veteran with bad back issues. We received an email with a picture showing that the boxes were delivered but were placed underneath a staircase. Not only did they not deliver the boxes to my apartment, which I paid for, they had places the boxes on the first floor on the completely opposite side of the building. I ended up injuring my back and am wondering how this company can be ok with how they do business. Lastly, our order was missing some of the items we had paid for.

      My car broke down in front of the Uhaul dealership on *********** in **********. The manager ******* went out of his way to help move it till it was eventually towed off the lot. ***** as the tow truck driver was not able to take my friend and I back to ******. Turned out he and his partner were going to ********* so we got a ride to a friend's house and then made it back to Woodstock and then back to ******. You have an invaluable manager and if I in recommending them to anyone wanting any help with a uhaul rental as this was the awesome service I received as a complete stranger. Thank you for being so kind in a time of need

      The truck rental size was available online. Only to find out the day I was picking it up that there was a mistake, and I had to downgrade the size. I was promised a credit that was never received on top of this. I paid the tolls via my iPass account. I called to let them know I paid the tolls. However, they proceeded to bill my credit card a week later for the tolls. I received proof from the secretary of state that the tolls were paid, but I could not submit a complaint or refund from Uhaul.

      Rented a truck online to pick up at an official UHaul location. The day before, I get a call from UHaul traffic division stating I had to pick it up at a different location. I pay $20 for a Lyft to get there and find out it is not an official UHaul but some middle-of-nowhere affiliate location that was closed and no one on site to assist. Its late November and freezing outside. The lock box was rusted and wouldnt open. I couldnt get through to UHaul traffic division so called UHaul corporate who put me on hold and then hung up on me. I finally got the lock box open after more than an hour standing outside. Never again. What a nightmare.

      I went to their website and chose a two and from destination as well as the date I wanted to use their services. I called the location the next day and asked for a trailer opposed to the truck that I had ordered initially. when I spoke to the man who work there at the location he asked where I was picking up from and before I can even tell him anything he specifically told me where I was dropping off the truck according to the information I put in the system. How frustrating it was when I went to go pick up the truck a couple days later and they asked me once again where is my drop off location. I told them what I put in the system and what I confirmed with the man that I spoke with a couple days before that. They didn't see it in a system and they checked off customer not sure not explaining to me what this meant. Not to mention, at first they weren't even sure if my truck was there that I reserved. So, they find out that the truck is there eventually. I get the truck I bring it to the location that I was going to drop off and at that location they told me that if I drop it off I'm going to have to pay $500 because there was no room there. I ended up having to go back towards the pick up location 45 minutes away from my home to drop off the truck again elsewhere after being on the phone 3 hours trying to reach U-Haul customer service. Then they end up charging me more money for gas after I had already filled it up when I went to drop it off at the location that was agreed upon. I would never ever use U-Haul again. Still trying to take money from me after the woman said she will drop the gas charges after I told her the situation and that I had already filled the tank up! Horrible! Never will I ever encourage anyone to use U-Haul their customer service sucks!!
