      If I can give less than one star I would! I ordered two of large trailers for us to move last Friday. I ordered them approximately three weeks in advance, due to the fact that its Labor Day weekend and burning man weekend. The representative that I spoke to promised me that the two trailers would be available on the day that I reserved them for. I explained to him that is a very busy weekend and I really need those trailers so we can move. He did say that they would be ready in *******, and that I will get a call the previous day to verify. I gave him my credit card to hold the trailers. The day before I was supposed to pick up the trailers, I received a text stating that they would be available for pick ** in ****, not ******* where I reserve them to be picked up. I called and spoke to one of the girls, and she had a I dont give a hoot attitude And kept saying that they are available in **** even though I told her that was 45 minutes the opposite direction I was going. I was not getting anywhere with her, so I asked to speak to a supervisor. As soon as he picked up the phone he had attitude and kept arguing and talking over me. ***** points I knew I was going to get nowhere with any of this and I lost my temper. I never do that, and I am normally a very calm person. I asked that they get one of their employees to bring the trailers to ******* for me to pick up. The supervisor said that that was not an option And kept repeating that they are only available for pick ** in ****. That point I said some not so nice things and hung up on him. I then called corporate and spoke to a gentleman there. He did not seem to care about this issue, but said he would talk to someone. My credit card did not get charged, and my account said that the reservations were canceled. I have not heard a word since and this was a week ago tomorrow. I highly recommend anyone needing to rent a moving vehicle use a different company!!!

      U-haul General Manager *********************, was DISRESPECTFUL, RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL. I had a 8am appointment and when i arrived to explain my issue. ****** and his co-worker gang up on me and didn't allow me to explain my issue and threw his card at me and told me to file a complaint. I had to walk away and then called my wife, to calm me down. My wife and i are disable veterans and never been treated so BADLY by a business like this U-Haul at ******************************************************************. He install a hitch on my SUV, and wired it where i now have electrical issues with my A.C. and radio. It got so bad the sheriffs was called in to help with the issue. THAT ENTIRE STAFF IS RUDE!!! AVOID! THIS BUSINESS!!! I wish i can give it NEGATIVE, ZEROS not stars.

      Let's put aside the fact that the staff gave zero input on how to work through their system that had no explanation of use and did their best to express their distain for your very existence and at one point actually yelling at my mother. I rented a pickup truck for one day advertised for $19.95/day. I expected taxes and opted for unlimited mileage. $80. Went to pick up the truck, had to take an Uber wich entailed problems bc of my area, notified U-Haul, they adjusted my pickup time something I didn't ask for or expect. Arrived to find out that yes I had to check in with a person, but also had to go through a multi step process, start two accounts, download an app, just to get a code to pull keys from a locker. During this process had to agree to a charge of $167. Now it's 4pm and just getting in the truck. I figured I would contact customer service bc I had no want to talk to those people again. Truck was dirty inside. Gas tank was not full, during the sign in process had to send two pics of each through the app, so didn't have them on my phone. Upon return, i vacuumed, Armor All the inside and detailed the windows and washed the outside. Filled the tank, was *********************************************************** a ride from drop off. Was then charged an additional $87. Total for weekday 1day rental- $254+gas. Tried to get ahold of someone to discuss all the outlandish overcharges, even emailed headquarters and the president of customer relations to name a few. Never received a response, went through the app and their website. Nothing. From $19.95 - $254. This was Chippewa, **. I utilized a company in ********, ** that rented their vehicles atleast a dozen times and never had one issue. Practices like this should be illegal and there's nothing I can do.

      I was charged $225 for not returning a trailer to ********** **. Your representative in ********* told me I could drop it off at any dealer because the contract did not specify a drop off location. Contract number ********.

      Service at this ******* ** location is awful. If you try and call the location to check on service, it goes to the 800 call center. Even the corporate headquarters cannot reach the store. ***************

      I was told the cost would be $58 to add an extra day of truck rental. I looked at my account and noticed they charged me not only for the first day, but $58 and another $79. So I called and the lady is reading off an extra $15 for mileage I said thats fine, take it from the $79 and refund me the rest. What she refunded me was the incorrect amount and I am never using uhaul again.

      I would like to write a complaint regarding U-Haul Canada. We called U-Haul on June 28th, 2022 and ordered 8 Uboxes. We had sold our home in ********* and we needed to store our belongings. The delivery date was confirmed to be on July 1t, 2022. Then on the day that we expected to receive those Uboxes we got a phone call from U-Haul and we were informed that in ********* there was no truck that could deliver us 8 or even 6 Uboxes. When we asked how this was possible, when their agent had confirmed the delivery and even had been encouraging us to get even 10 or 12 Uboxes, they answered that the central booking office was not able to see the local resources availability!!!We were devastated from the news because we had arranged everything based on the U-Haul reservation. So we had to find another storage facility and because we were very close to the possession date of the home (July 7th, 2022), it made our situation very complicated. We had to go through so many obstacles that put more stress on my wife's health condition (She has Psoriatic Arthritis).Also this caused a delay in our moving, and we had to pay for gifts to our home buyers to apologize for the inconvenience they went through.We are wondering how this is possible that their system has no idea about the regional resources in different cities. We even bought 8 locks for those containers, and we had to return them to the store in a time that we were already busy and overwhelmed with doing different things. Since then, we have contacted them many times to complain to their customer service and asking for compensation and a change in their booking process. First, they told us that they had issued a customer complaint file and somebody from customer service would follow up with us which never happened. Finally in our last contact, we were told the file had been closed because they did not think that they had done anything wrong!!

      Understanding completely that mechanical issues can happen in this type of business, the slow, complicated lack of response was completely unacceptable. I would like to send an explanation but there isnt enough room in this dialog box. I have sent a letter to Uhaul and hope at some point and able to submit it to BBB as well.

      When you are moving, you ***************** and help for moving day. U-Haul doesn't understand the meaning of "reservation." They didn't have a much-needed appliance dolly that I'd reserved, and they didn't care. I brought the truck back early because I'm a small woman and there wasn't much I could do. My receipt shows a charge for bringing the truck back late, when I actually brought it back 3 hours early. Additionally, there is a cleaning charge which can't be valid. Also, there is a $60+ deposit that no one told me about. Most importantly, I left my credit card and driver's license in the truck and can't get in touch with anyone.

      Emergency roadside assistant claims a 24 hr immediate response when it actually takes over 2 hours to respond. Filing a claim online can go hours unread and without communication despite their quick to update promise. You can call to talk to a robot animation for 8 minutes only to be told there are no representatives to help, but theyll call you back in 45+ minutes. Only to receive the call back and be immediately put on hold for another 15 minutes. The operator is condescending and lazy for an emergency response. With such questioning as are you sure there is gas in the tank? Overall a terrible experience in a time of need with faulty equipment. There is no comfort in the roadside assistance program, only frustration and abandonment.
