      I made a reservation online for a UBox, it's U-Haul's version of a POD - you load they drive it... I made it online 3 weeks ago. I got a confirmation number. I called and spoke to a representative and confirmed that I did everything right. Which I had not, and he fixed it. It was supposed to be delivered today. I called again 7/25 to confirm because even though I had an email confirming what the gentleman and I spoke about I wanted to hear someone say it. The lady confirmed by delivery date of 8/1. I asked what time will it be delivered so I could make sure I would be home. She said that someone would call me the day before to schedule delivery. No one called. I called and was transferred 3 times. The last one said, "The manager is on his way to pick it up right now." "ok great, when it will be delivered?" "He'll call you back"No one called. I called again. "I'm trying to find out what time my Box will be delivered" This one says - "I'm sorry to have to tell you this but there is no box available." "An hour ago a manager was going to pick it up" "Ya, no... he went to go pick something up that had nothing to do with you or your order" "Can I have a box from **************?" "No, my driver won't go to Ukiah". The conversation ended with him attempting to apologize and me rejecting it. He said to call today and the manager will handle it. I called today and was told the reason my box wasn't delivered was because my card was declined. "when did you run my card?" "Today, but again it was declined" "Why would you run my card if there was no box?" "I don't know ma'am but the only reason boxes don't get delivered is if the card is declined". "I need a manager". "She's in a meeting, I'll giver her your info and she'll call you back"No one called. I called again and asked for the manager. "This is XXX" "Are you a manager?" "Yes, I'm the scheduling manager" "Ok, when will my box be delivered?" "I apologize, I don't have a box for you" "The day of delivery is

      Hello *****, I am terribly sorry you had such a bad experience with the **Box order. There was already an existing complaint about this issue which was resolved after you spoke with the Traffic Control Manager about what happened.       It absolutely was NOT resolved! Unless you count me selling the contents of my entire house in 8 days, and moving everything else in my car! Keep your apology, at this point it's just adding insult to injury.

      I am writing after a whole one week of the horrible incident as I fell sick from the experience. I am a 50plus single woman. I had rented a 26 footer a couple months ago in *******, **. I flew from LA to ******* on July 21st. My mover / friend picked me up from ******* Friday morning and we drove to *******. We were just about 2 hours late. When we reached the Kansas St, ******* location, the staff there pretended to be surprised and gave us the direction to ****************. She told me the Truck was there. It was 110degrees and I have heat sensitivity. When we reached there , no one was around and the doors locked. We called the number and no one answered. We left the place and thought lets get started with the Storage where my things are in *******. While driving i called uhaul and after a wait i got to a woman. She called Tios Sales and told me they were waiting for me and that i had to get there in 10 minutes. Once again we scurried there in the heat and found no one. I called uhaul again to get to another person who informed me that my truck was given to someone else. They then downgraded me to a smaller truck. There was a 26 footer in the parking lot but uhaul scheduling told me they could not give it to me. We had to drive another 30 mins to ******* to fetch the truck. We were only able to move half the things. My movers had to go back and bring everything back again. This costed me an additional $800 which was not anticipated. I fell sick. This is inhuman treatment and I am hearing uhaul does this a lot and some agencies are dishonest. They could be taking money under the table to help truckers / other consumers needing a truck urgently. Please investigate. This behavior would happen in third world countries. This country was proud of its customer service and thats dwindling everwhere. Please investigate. I would like my additional gas/labor expenses reimbursed.

      1 star is a generous rating and this location doesn't deserve it. This location and the staff here truly have no business operating. I made a reservation a week in advance for the only available slot in Austin * pick up for 7/30 at 6:30pm. I checked in online since the reservation claimed it would "cut my time in half". This location has operating hours on Saturday until 7pm. I showed up 45 minutes prior to the supposed closing time only to find out the staff had locked its front door, not allowing me and a multitude of other people into the store and stranded in the ******************************************************** indication of what was going on. I found a side door to enter through and stood in line behind 10 other people. After 45 minutes had passed, a customer behind me politely asked the staff about the status of our reserved trucks. She replied rudely and said that she locked the doors with approval from her manager at 6:05 pm and everyone who "snuck in" the side door would be lucky if they even received a truck. Me, my boyfriend and 10 other people behind us in line waited another 45 minutes to get to the front of the line and we were denied service. I was discriminated against, verbally assaulted and my boyfriend was physically threatened. I had to beg them to give me my reserved truck but it had been 2 hours past my reservation time and caused me to miss my storage unit hours of operation. This meant I had to keep the truck overnight and face the financial consequences of a staff who didn't want to work. This location is unsafe and a threat to the community. They should close their doors immediately. I will be contacting HQ to request a full refund as the staff took advantage of my (and many others) time, money, human decency and safety. I will never return to this location or any other Uhaul for the protection of my money and safety. The employees at this location need to rethink their involvement in the customer service industry. Period.

      EXTREMELY DECEPTIVE TO POOR BUSINESS PRACTICE, FRAUD CONTRACT ESTIMATION AND CHARGES. THIS HAS BECOME A COURT ISSUE FOR A SIMPLE 2DAY TRUCK RENTAL. UNACCEPTABLE

      You make a reservation in advance. You hire a moving crew. Uhaul rents out its rsvpd trucks so when you arrive for the reserved pick up(with your paid moving crew waiting) they dont have truck/truck size you rsvpd. Its like airport car rentals We have your midsized reservation but were out of mid-sized. They offered for us to drive to another location with a truck which was 60miles away in ***********! Thats 120miles round trip, and lets not forget the current ** gas price of $6.50gallon(its July 2022). We were expected to eat this extra time and cost. Lets not forget the $500 moving crew of loaders.

      Upon returning truck they charged a cleaning fee. Accused me of smoking in the truck. Which I did not.Took less than 5 minutes to clean the inside cab. I stayed and watched and took pictures. Before and after they cleaned. Made claim because they would have owed me money back and this way they make money.

      Absolute scam of a company and no guarantees. We waited two extra days for them to honor a reservation for an auto transport and they are now giving us a run around saying it wont be available for another day. We are screwed with our move and we cant even get ahold of anyone.

      I rented a pick up truck from Uhaul in *****, **. I parked my car and checked in and left in the pick-up truck. I drove 90 minutes to pick up wood for a home project, but got a call from uhaul about 20 minutes away from my destination. They said that my car was blocking something and they were going to tow it. I had parked between two other cars and explained that I was almost 90 minutes away. The employee accused me of lying about how far away I was. I told him I would turn around (without the wood) and come back. He said they would probably tow my car anyway. I turned around and came back without the wood. My car was still there and not blocking anything. The employee came over to me and gloated that they hadnt towed my car. I left without an apology.

      Would give 0 stars if possible. My family has a cross country move from ******** to ********* this weekend (7/31/2022) that we booked a reservation for three weeks ago (7/10/2022), with the rental pick up scheduled for Sunday. I understand its end of month, but its for job transfer with hard set dates. We were notified today (7/29/2022) that there are no trucks available within a 300 mi radius. According to your regional coordinator office, such a notification is all you need to do per your policy. When pressed, the rep kept hiding behind the policy. In fact, she smugly told us that we were given over 24 hours of notice that were on our own. Shame on me for not reading the fine print. We need to leave on Monday (8/1/2022) but we are now stranded with very few, very expensive alternatives. My husband, whose job is transferring, works for the ***** You now have two entire offices of mail carriers who know not to use your services.Do not trust UHaul for your moving needs. They do not follow through, and when called out they hide behind their almost bait and switch policies. Learn from us an avoid this stress. Lastly, I would love to say that well never use Uhaul or its services again, but your policies have prevented us from using your services in the first place.

      This company has no business operating. A reservation is a reservation- when it says Reserved it is reserved but not with Uhaul. They seem to have a completely different idea of what that means. Only reserve a Uhaul if you enjoy having an already stressful move made absolute h*** by being notified a day in advance that there is not one Uhaul truck of any size available within 50 miles of your location. Lost a customer for life- and Ill be happy to tell anyone else I meet all about this insane experience.
