I went to the doctor a year ago for my annual well check. Solidarity covers one well check a year. A year later, Solidarity still hasnt paid my bill. They tell me its been put in a batch to be sent out, but the told me that over a month ago. I had to just pay the bill myself so it wouldnt be sent to collections. Im horrified to realize that I essentially havent had insurance all this time because Solidarity wont pay for the things they say they will. This is a full on scam.Solidarity Healthshare

We had our baby 14 months ago and haven't been paid out for any expenses. We are now having to pay the full expense ourselves WHILE still paying for this scam company. They couldn't promise that any of our bills would get paid. They decide who gets paid out. Total SCAM!Solidarity Healthshare

We appreciate hearing from our members and want to clarify how to make the most of your membership. Moreover, we hope and pray that you are having a wonderful time with the blessings of your newest family addition and will continue to pray for each of you.
It seems like there may be some confusion concerning the status of your bills. Our Sharing Guidelines determine what medical expenses are shared among the members of Solidarity HealthShare. There is a learning curve when switching from traditional insurance and healthcare sharing. If you need help understanding how Solidarity works or if youd like a copy of our guidelines we are happy to walk you through either. We look forward to speaking with you soon.
Need # ***-0000072857-00 from ************************ completed processing and Batched on 09/30/2022 and has Shared as $587.17 toward AUA and there was $748.83 saved in overcharges from your provider.
Members have been properly informed and updated that ALL submitted needs have completed processing along with the repriced amounts and savings on each submitted need and these are just waiting on matching sharing funds from fellow Sharing Members of Solidarity HealthShare.
Members were properly informed of Sharing Guidelines that Solidarity does not pay bills and informed of cover of our guidelines, back of Member ID Card, and every Explanation of Sharing (EOS) they have received reads, If you have any questions regarding the healthcare sharing ministry, you can contact the *********** Team at www.solidarityhealthshare.org or ************. ATTENTION: This program is not an insurance company nor is it offered through an insurance company. This program does not guarantee or promise that your medical bills will be paid or assigned to others for payment. Whether anyone chooses to pay your medical bills will be totally voluntary. As such, this program should never be considered as a substitute for an insurance policy. Whether you receive any payments for medical expenses and whether or not this program continues to operate, you are always liable for any unpaid bills.
Further, this Member on 06/15/2023 was also properly informed of the Sharing Guidelines that reads, Also, as a voluntary healthcare sharing ministry, the Ministry is constrained by finite resources and regarding Voluntary Withdrawal of Membership, To maintain active Membership, Sharing Members must submit Membership Dues and a Monthly Contribution of at least the minimum amount suggested by Solidarity HealthShare. Only Sharing Members with an active Membership will have their Eligible Medical Expenses Shared.
Again, from the cover of our SHS Sharing Guidelines reads, Welcome to Solidarity HealthShare , a healthcare sharing ministry. This document tells you: How the healthcare sharing ministry works. *************** Services are eligible for Sharing by the Members. Your payment obligations. Please read this document in its entirety. Since many of the provisions of the Sharing Guidelines are interrelated, you should read the entire document to get a full understanding of the healthcare sharing ministry. The program contains exclusions and limitations, so it is important that you read these Sharing Guidelines carefully. You should familiarize yourself with the Sharing Guidelines before receiving Healthcare Services.
ALL submitted needs have completed processing, 56% have processed under SHS average of 120 business days and are waiting on matching Sharing funds.
Regarding pregnancy related needs, ALL (6) needs that have completed for Mckayli are for pregnancy and saved the ministry over $900 in other overcharges from providers.
Another four of six needs that are waiting on matching sharing funds are for pregnancy needs and have another $3,900 plus savings in overcharges from their providers.

Incredibly frustrating to work with. We had to submit and resubmit claims multiple times and track down paperwork from doctor's offices. Medical bills were left unpaid and we were warned about them going to collections. We have been waiting almost two years on reimbursement after having been told for over a year that they were in the final process and should be sent out soon.Solidarity Healthshare

Solidarity always seeks to serve its members in a faithful Christian manner in a spirit of solidarity and subsidiarity. We are committed to serving you even as a past member.
We understand your frustration with providers that dont bill directly or fail to give our Members the requested Itemized Coded bills (IB)s and information needed for processing the first times requested. Thankfully, you can request these items and advocate for your family with the protections of the Patient Bill of Rights.
All seven (7) completed needs have ALL the items needed and are only waiting on matching sharing funds from Sharing Members of Solidarity HealthShare. Please understand since your Voluntary Withdrawal of Membership (VWM) as of 07/01/2022 any sharing from SHS Members is a Charitable Exemption of our SHS Sharing Guidelines since 11/01/2021. These Sharing Guidelines read, Also, as a voluntary healthcare sharing ministry, the Ministry is constrained by finite resources and regarding Voluntary Withdrawal of Membership, To maintain active Membership, Sharing Members must submit Membership Dues and a Monthly Contribution of at least the minimum amount suggested by Solidarity HealthShare. Only Sharing Members with an active Membership will have their Eligible Medical Expenses Shared.
Again, all needs are waiting on matching Sharing funds from the generosity of Sharing Members and your Membership stopped Sharing on 07/01/2022.
There is a learning curve when switching from traditional insurance and healthcare sharing. If you need help understanding how Solidarity works or if youd like a copy of our guidelines we are happy to walk you through either. We look forward to speaking with you soon.

I really want to love Solidarity Healthshare but for many reasons I have brought myself to this point. The time I have spent trying to get reimbursed is beyond. I am a teacher so it is difficult for me to find the time to spend hours on the phone trying to get refunded. I have a bill from 2021 that was denied because of missing information I then got everything needed and still nothing. We have been threatened by collections at this point. I requested an Audit twice so I can see exactly what is going on and it makes no sense to me and every staff member has a different answer. Other bills took well over the 120 days, I was told by several staff the Devil got into their system and things were backed up. At that point I started seeing Red flags. Still to this day our reimbursement needs have not been met.Solidarity Healthshare

I have been with solidarity for about 4 years and since the beginning Ive had issues with things being paid on time or at all. They change their processes without notice, so when you think youve finally figured out how to submit things so that they can process it, they change it then claim its always been like this by some new rep **** still in training. I have spent hundreds of hours on the phone with them, had to hire childcare so I can spend days on the phone trying to get my bills paid. All this only to get on the phone again and be told this was never done but here Ill do it now 5 more times (at least). I have bills from 3 years ago that hadnt been paid, sent to my credit report, only to finally get a notice that they werent timely filed. But then if you call to dispute their timely filing, they say you need to prove they were timely filed, 3 years ago! My provider wont see me anymore until my balance is paid by them. They are quick to say that if your bills arent filed on time they wont pay but dont hold themselves by the same standards.I was promised by at least 4 reps that I would be called back, and not one has. You cant escalate the phone calls, get anyone in management or any type of accountability. Not only has this caused me a financial burden, its also cost me the ability to be seen by my medical doctor, its negatively affected my mental health and well-being. I get physically agitated just thinking of having to continue to deal with them but I have to until I have my bills paid. I dont know how a company who calls themselves Christian can treat people like this. This is immoral, unethical and outright fraud.Solidarity Healthshare

Joining Solidarity was the worst decision Ive made in my adult life. We got solidarity before my wifes pregnancy and delivery. My baby is now 5 months old and not a single bill has been paid and were about to be handed over to collections for the third time (about $15,000 in unpaid bills so far). I only wish we had taken more time to find out how truly awful this healthshare was before we put our eggs in their basket and started paying them almost $600 a month for years for no payout. Truly shameful and unethical behavior on their part. Im just praying that this doesnt ruin my credit enough to prevent us from getting a mortgage in future. Im also praying that this healthshare would stop taking advantage of naive people like me. And that someday a class action lawsuit would bring some sort of justice. Ps- AMPS is still working on my balance bills- bills that have already gone to collections. Ive done so much legwork and given them every piece of paper work theyve ever asked for an made every single one of my allotted payments and AMPS has never accomplished a single thing.STAY AWAY FROM SOLIDARITY!!Solidarity Healthshare

These are all my opinions of Solidarity - Same as all the other complaints here - Many hours per week babysitting bills - Solidarity asks to resubmit same things over again - Solidarity takes to long to pay - I get turned over to collections - In the early days Solidarity took one month of the user contributions per year for admin costs, now it appears they are taking 5 months each year for admin costs, which makes me highly suspect either that they are inept or gouging us for personal enrichment. It appears to me, organization is run by a group that is not catholic, they were running another health share and added Solidarity to their portfolio. It has generally been a nightmare using Solidarity to the point we are willing to spend hundreds more per month for other insurance to get away from them. But we are still doomed to deal with our current collections and unpaid bills for some time to come. Member **** *****Solidarity Healthshare

Solidarities response here affirms my experience of being a member, by how they describe all the things members are dealing with. They do leave out how many times they mess things up and it then requires the user to resubmit the same things over again. And they did not also mention all the problems they have had with their systems for years. Reduces to it's simplest form = What a Nightmare... Like I said before, we are now willing to spend hundreds more per month to not have to deal with Solidarity. If my wife was getting paid for all the hours she puts in each week dealing with Solidarity it would be more than the extra money we are paying going back to an insurance plan.Review fromWILLIAM S

Same thing happened to me, as to what you will read in other reviews. I originally got Solidarity around 7 years ago, and never had to use it, except for an annual wellness visit, until I got prostate cancer. After year 2 of the original 7 above, I got a job where I could have gone on traditional insurance, but elected to stay on Solidarity. It looked like it covered 100% after my annual deductible, was affordable, and in my mind it was like Christians banding together to ***** the unethical insurance and healthcare system. Well, it's not that at all. You will find that you are on the outside looking in. You will get sent a bill for the remainder from your healthcare provider after ********* has paid "100 percent of what they reviewed as eligilble." In my case, that quickly built up to $2600.00. It's scary, like getting "out of network" charges, when you're not expecting it, if you've ever had that experience. You call Solidarity, they will provide you a listening ear, prayer, and inform you of the "packet" to dispute the additional charges. But they do nothing. The ball is in your court to do everything, miles of paperwork and dealing with "doctor's ****** billing departments" that are hard to communicate with and time consuming, often not repsonding until after several attempts. You will get the overdue bills and turned over to collections. Stay away if you can!Solidarity Healthshare

We became members in mid 2022, though we should have read reviews prior to joining. Our experience echo's many of the comments here posted. We have faithfully paid the monthly contribution, and have had no major medical events apart from typical check-ups - that is only well-child visits, which in theory are shared 100% by Solidarity. These have built up in a queue (we have several young children), and have not been processed. A label like "new" on bills that are 6 months old is odd, to say the least. I contacted Solidarity several times to ask about when they will be processed and get the old "120 (business?) day answer", even though these are well over 120 days old. I am skeptical that these will ever be processed (let alone paid - they are different things). At this point we would likely be better having not had Solidarity and paid out of pocket. The only bills that Solidarity has processed for us have been ones they can deny sharing due to timely filing (which I have no problem with - there has to be a time limit somewhere), but if they have processed those why have they not processed others? It seems a double standard to hold users to a time limit, while they will not hold themselves to one. I am not sure if we should continue with Solidarity in hopes that they will process or pay these bills (a “sunk cost fallacy” perhaps), or just cut our losses and pay the provider directly before we tithe more monthly contributions. Tithing is exactly the word to put to the monthly contribution amount from our point of view. Since we noticed things not getting processed/paid, we are not tithing in the formal sense, as we think we are going to be paying the accumulation of “well child” visits (which adds up, especially with common vaccinations we have decided they should get). I was extremely excited to join, but I am disappointed in the service. The processing time alone makes this service untenable. If you are interested in health shares, I cannot recommend this one.Solidarity Healthshare

All your needs have completed processing and only one need remains waiting for matching Sharing funds from fellow SHS Members. As of 11/01/2021 we have a Timely Submission of Needs requirement of 90 days. Our SHS Sharing Guidelines read, Needs do not qualify for Sharing unless the Sharing Member submits a request for Sharing and documentation of Eligible Medical Expenses within ninety (90) days of receipt of the ****************** or the date of discharge, as applicable.
Our Sharing Guidelines determine what medical expenses are shared among the members of Solidarity HealthShare. Please note, batches are released in the order that they are entered. Batching is dependent on incoming sharing dollars. Due to the varying number and size of each batch,we do not have an exact timeframe for the release of the batch containing your medical needs. Please be assured that once your bill has been batched, both you and your provider will receive an Explanation of Sharing (EOS) and will be able to access a copy of this in your *********** Portal.

0 stars. This is an unethical scam of a company. I am waiting to be reimbursed hundreds of dollars for over 3 years! And they are horrible about paying providers directly, around 12 months or more. Be prepared for major HIPAA violations as well. I have spent hours on the phone with them trying to get my money and my providers paid, every time I get excuses why they cant pay. When I demand that they pay me immediately they say that they cant jump me ahead of some else in the waiting for reimbursement queue. So, my next question was how do you get in the queue? Answer, in the order claims are received . So Ive been waiting 3 years, so I pointed out that that must mean there are others before me that have been waiting longer. Their reply oh, you must have misunderstood what I said. Nope. I didnt. I want my money. *If you have been a victim of a HIPAA violation you can file a complaint with the department of health and human services.Solidarity Healthshare
