I had resale tickets Ticketmaster posted on their website. My tickets were posted but did not sell according to them. The concert I went to was reported as 100% sold out and I could see patrons in the seats I was selling. I don't know how Ticketmaster was able to make my tickets available for use by the arena without my compensation. If the seats were used by someone else, how was I not able to get paid for the use of them when I owned the tickets. Ticketmaster's resale practices are unjust in general because they offer "instant" sale options at a much lower price than the original price of the ticket. Ticketmaster also does not reimburse for service fees, so when listing the tickets for resale, you lose the service fee. If you are attempting to recoup your service fee on the resale market, the ticket price must be listed for well above the amount the ticket originally cost. Then if one were to buy a resale ticket they charge the service fee again, so now the company has been paid twice for a service fee.

      Hello,

We are in receipt of your recent complaint submitted to the Better Business Bureau. Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention.

Regrettably, the tickets you had posted on P4A9D-6B3 did not sell. The posting expired at 8PM on the day of the show. If the tickets had sold, you would have been notified via email. Additionally, there were no scan attempts for these seat locations. If people were sitting in the seats, it's only because there no other fans were sitting in them.

      Sincerely,

      ******** *.

I bought tickets for ******* concert on August 16th in ******* in advance. Firstly, the problem is that the price in advance was significantly more expensive than the regular price. Also, I can't go to the concert because I'm away on family business at the time, which I only found out about later, and I won't be able to attend the concert. When I wrote to support, I was just referred to the promoter, and the promoter referred me to the seller (Ticketmaster), and so on. I spent a total of 540 on them, and now it would theoretically only be 460. But as I mentioned, I can't attend the concert at all, so I need a full refund. There are two seats in the lower tier.

Date of the transaction:February 5, 2025 The amount of money you paid the business:$3,003.48 What the business committed to provide you:Ticketmaster committed to provide valid tickets for *** ******: After Hours Til **** Tour with Playboi Carti and **** **** on August 30, 2025, at *********** in *******, ***What the nature of the dispute is:I am requesting a refund for my tickets. After purchasing tickets for the August 30 date, I later discovered that a second concert date was added for this same tour with significantly cheaper tickets available, even in comparable sections. Additionally, Ticketmaster has released more tickets for the original August 30 date at a lower price than what I originally paid, which is unfair to early buyers. Ticketmaster has refused to issue refunds, only offering the option to resell tickets, which is not a guaranteed solution and forces consumers to absorb potential losses due to their own price adjustments and added show dates. This feels like deceptive and unfair pricing.Whether or not the business has tried to resolve the problem:I contacted Ticketmaster support and was told that no refund could be provided and that I could try to resell the tickets instead. I believe this is an unfair and unethical business practice, especially considering the significant drop in pricing after my purchase and the lack of refund options. If the issue involves advertising, when and where the ad was seen or heard:Not applicable.Desired Outcome:I am seeking a full refund of $3,003.48 to my original method of payment due to the unfair price changes and lack of transparency around refund and resale policies.

      Hello,

We are in receipt of your recent complaint submitted to the Better Business Bureau. Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention.
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer courtesy refunds. The face value price of tickets is determined by our clients. In most circumstances, face value prices are set at the time of the initial on-sale and stay the same until the event occurs. However, prices can be adjusted up or down after the tickets go on sale, prices may also vary. When an order is placed through the Ticketmaster website, it is a requirement that our Purchase Policy & Terms of Use are agreed to, including Section 11, titled Refunds, Credits, and Exchanges. Paragraph 6 outlines the following:   We may occasionally offer tickets at a discount after the original on-sale date and will not refund the difference between the original price and the sale price.

Please refer to our purchase policy, linked below, for additional information:

      Complaint: 23445189

I am rejecting this response because:

I understand Ticketmaster's Purchase Policy; however, this complaint is not about a simple price drop or standard buyers remorse.
The nature of my complaint is that Ticketmaster added an additional concert date after my purchase, which directly and unfairly impacted the value of my original tickets. Additionally, Ticketmaster released new blocks of tickets for the same original date I purchased at significantly lower prices well after my purchase. This is a clear case of unfair and deceptive pricing practices, not a post-purchase sale or standard price fluctuation.
Ticketmasters current policy forces consumers into a position where their tickets are worth far less on Ticketmasters own resale platform a platform Ticketmaster profits from through additional fees with no guarantee of recouping the original cost. The company is creating artificial scarcity at first, then undermining early purchasers by releasing more tickets and cheaper tickets later.
In this situation, I am not simply requesting a refund because prices dropped I am requesting a refund due to these manipulative business practices that harmed me financially and eroded the value of my original purchase through Ticketmasters actions after the fact.
I would like this complaint to remain open, and I continue to seek a full refund of $3,003.48 to my original payment method.

      Sincerely,

      **** *******

      Hello,

I am in receipt of your recent complaint submitted to the Better Business Bureau. Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention.

Apologies for any inconvenience you may have experienced. Standard tickets sold on Ticketmaster are owned by our clients (venues, sports teams, or other event promoters) who determine the number of tickets to be sold and set the face value price. They also determine if additional shows will be added to a tour and when.

You selected tickets for certain seats to a certain date and was shown the price for those tickets. You then chose to enter your payment details and complete the purchase. Our Purchase Policy remains in effect, and we will not be able to cancel or discount your order. Ticketmaster is contracted to sell tickets on behalf of the event organizers who sets the rules for refunds. Unfortunately, the Event Organizer for this event is not authorizing us to issue refunds. For these reasons we cannot refund your order.

Thank you for the opportunity to respond and address your concerns.

      Sincerely,

      Complaint: 23445189

I am rejecting this second response from Ticketmaster.

While I understand that Ticketmaster is contracted to sell tickets on behalf of event organizers and that the Purchase Policy outlines refund limitations, this issue extends beyond standard refund terms. My complaint is about unfair business practices and deceptive pricing, not a buyers remorse issue or a typical price drop.
      Here are the facts:
I purchased tickets for The Weeknds August 30, 2025, show on February 5, 2025, for $3,003.48.
After this purchase, Ticketmaster and/or the event organizer added a second concert date for the same city and artist, offering comparable tickets at a significantly lower price.
Furthermore, Ticketmaster released more tickets for the original August 30 show at even lower prices than my original purchase devaluing my purchase and creating an unfair and unregulated pricing environment.
At no point was it disclosed that new dates or cheaper blocks would be released after initial sales, leaving early buyers at a disadvantage with no option for recourse.
Ticketmaster facilitates and profits from a resale platform, yet leaves consumers with the burden of trying to sell tickets that have been devalued by Ticketmasters own actions. This undermines consumer confidence, and their repeated copy-paste responses do not address the core ethical concern.
I am again requesting that this complaint remain open. I am not satisfied with the companys resolution, and I continue to seek a full refund of $3,003.48 due to manipulative and unfair pricing strategies that occurred after my purchase not at the point of sale.

      Sincerely,

      **** *******

Ticketmaster lowered the prices of the tickets to *** ***** ******** concert at the ******************* on August 21, 2025 after the Artist Pre-Sale. I purchased 4 tickets during the Artist Pre-Sale on March 27, 2025 in section 126, row 7 for $216.60 each and currently (June 9, 2025) Ticketmaster has tickets in section 126, row 9 for $143.25 each. They do not allow for any returns or exchanges and it is unfair for the consumer to have paid early for a ticket for a higher price, and then when the price is lowered, is unable to get a refund or an exchange.

On Monday, June 2, I went on to the Ticketmaster website to purchase tickets for the ******* ****** Live! event that was happening at the ***************** in ********* ********* for November 22, 2025 at 3pm. I found the date I wanted and clicked the "buy Tickets" button. I then proceeded to pick out tickets, added them to my cart, and purchased. To my horror, I received Tickets to the ******* ****** Live! event in *************** scheduled for November 13th. I quickly went back through thinking I made an error and found that the button for the Milwaukee event took you to the *************** event even though it was not clearly identified. That left me with two dilemmas as this was a gift for my wife for her birthday. 1. I had now purchased tickets for an event I did not want due to ticketmaster having an error on their webpage. 2. It wasnt possible due to this problem for me actually to buy the tickets I wanted for my wife's gift. I reached out to ticketmaster immediately and after waiting ************************************************************************************** a refund. That was crazy to me. Secondarily after alot of back and forth they never even wanted more information about the bad link until ultimately he sent me a link to the proper event through the chat. I have subsequently seen that they did fix the problem. However, this error was in no part due to anything done by me or the event. It was a ticketmaster issue. The chat agent said that someone would reach out to me in ***** hours and that never happened.

Date of the transaction 10/25/2024 tickets for ********* concert in ***************** on June 6, 2025 (date of the event)cost of the tickets $356 per ticket. I purchase 3 tickets for a total of $1231.10 including fees and taxes. tickets where for section 121, row 4, seats ***** and 13. When I purchase the tickets, no where was mention that the view was going to be totally blocked by a tent which didn't allow us to see ******* or the show at all. we had to see the show in the TV screen because the view was totally blocked for the entire concert. there was not a disclosure that would advise this total block view, because it was not even partial view. For the price I paid I was supposed to get a good view of the stage and the artist. we didn't enjoy the concert and lost time trying to find a solution to the problem. Not enough personnel helping to accommodate and with no solution to our problem at all.I would like a refund of the money I paid because I feel it is unacceptable to make fans pay for a seat with a view that was not what was advertise in the map.

      Hello,

I am in receipt of your recent complaint to the Better Business Bureau. Our apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.  thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention.  If there was an issue with the view you would have needed to have spoken with ************** on the night of the show.  Ticketmaster does not own the tickets we sell, as we are contracted to sell and fulfill ticket orders a specific way.  Unfortunately we will not be able to refund the whole order.  As a 1 time courtesy, we have refunded the Ticketmaster fees attached to the order 55-33078/FLO.  Please allow 5-7 business days for the amount of $158.10 USD to credit back to the **** ending in 7540

Thank you for the opportunity to respond and address your concerns.

      Sincerely,
      Consumer Support Team
