      After reviewing my credit report, I was shocked to find evidence of identity theft. This account is unfamiliar to me, I did not authorize its opening or use, and I have never done business with this company. I am formally requesting its immediate removal, as it is inaccurately reported and is negatively affecting my ability to obtain credit.

      This is written confirmation that I did authorize the submission of the complaint against Experian Consumer Services, and I am requesting assistance from the Better Business Bureau (BBB) in resolving this matter.

      I am disputing the reporting of an account by COLUMBIA DEBT RECOVERY (Account No. DLOGRAXXXXXXXXXXXXXX) on my ********************************************* report. I have never done business with this company, have not signed any legally binding contract with them, and have no knowledge of this debt.

      I have already attempted to contact the business directly regarding this matter, but my concerns have been ignored and no resolution has been provided. This account is fraudulent, and I am requesting that it be removed from my Experian credit file immediately as it is negatively affecting my creditworthiness.

      I am writing to formally dispute inaccurate information appearing on my credit report in violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), specifically 15 U.S.C. 1681e(b), which mandates that consumer reporting agencies and information furnishers maintain reasonable procedures to ensure the maximum possible accuracy of the data they report. My credit report currently lists a late payment on my [Mission Lane] account (Account Number: [****************] ,reported for the month(s) of [04/2024 and 05/2024]. I am disputing the accuracy of this late payment record because the payments were not more than ************************************ accordance with 15 U.S.C. 1681i, I am requesting an investigation into this inaccurate information and that the record be corrected or removed. I have enclosed supporting documentation, which verifies that the reported late payment is incorrect.Please complete your reinvestigation and inform me of the outcome within the required 30-day timeframe. If this information is not verified or corrected, I request that it be deleted from my credit file as required by law.

In accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act, entities who have certified to Experian that they have a permissible purpose may inquire about credit information. For example, organizations that have granted the consumer credit or with whom they have applied for credit, or entities collecting on transactions that they initiated or on judgments rendered against them, are permitted to make inquiries on their credit report. Requests for a consumers credit history remain on the personal credit report for at least two years.

      I am filing a formal complaint against Experian for failing to remove a fraudulent ****/Best Buy account from my ********************** report, despite multiple disputes and the submission of a valid FTC Identity Theft Report, which I have attached.I did not open, authorize, or use this account. I have disputed it with Experian multiple times, yet it continues to appear on my credit file. Each time, Experian has responded that the account was "verified" or "certified by the furnisher,". This repeated response does not meet the standard of a reasonable reinvestigation under 15 U.S.C. 1681i(a)(1)(A).Experians continued reporting of this false information violates:15 U.S.C. 1681e(b) Failure to ensure maximum possible accuracy 15 U.S.C. 1681i(a)(5)(A) Failure to delete unverifiable or inaccurate information 15 U.S.C. 1681i(d) Duty to send notice of corrections or deletions to previous recipients of the report I am not requesting another reinvestigation.
