      i recently reviewed a copy of my credit report and was shocked to find i had been a victim of identity theft i do not recognize these accounts please remove this from my credit report they are hurting my ability to obtain credit

      Experian received a recent request regarding an individual's credit information that does not appear to have been sent directly by them or to be authorized by them. As a precautionary measure, no action has been taken on the alleged request.

      According to the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act, "if the completeness or accuracy of any item of information contained in a consumers file at a national consumer credit reporting company is disputed by the consumer and the consumer notifies the company directly of such dispute, the company shall reinvestigate free of charge." Therefore, any inaccurate information can be disputed directly with Experian for free. If an individual believes that information in their personal credit report is inaccurate or incomplete,they should call the phone number that displays on their Experian personal credit report or visit the secure website at ****************************************************************.

      They may also write to the address on their Experian personal credit report. Include the account name and number for any item on the credit report that is being disputed and state the specific reason why the information is believed to be inaccurate. The dispute process may take up to 30 days (45 days when disputing information in the annual free credit report). Once Experian completes the processing of the dispute, they will promptly notify the individual of the outcome.

      am reporting fraudulent activity by ********************************. They recently placed a collection account on my ********************** report under account number ********, claiming it was opened on 05/01/2025. I have no knowledge of this debt, never received prior notice about it, and did not authorize any account or transaction with this company.This account appeared suddenly and without justification, harming my credit. I believe this is either identity theft or a reporting error.       I have notified Experian on several different occasions of a fraudulent account on my ********************** report as a result of identity theft. I have filed all of the appropriate documentation, which includes an FTC report as well as a police report to Experian. They are refusing to block and delete the account pursuant to section 605B of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Please see all the attached documentation below. I am requesting the account be removed ASAP.
