      I recently reviewed a copy of my credit report and discovered I've been a victim of identity theft. I do not recognize this account. Please remove it from my credit report as it is harming my ability to obtain credit.

      As a clarification letter this is my response, I have been disputing these unauthorized accounts since February or March . I have gone through the entire identity theft process , my wallet was stolen and I replaced all of my credit and debit cards , I let DISCOVER and *********** know and it was resolved on their end. However , the accounts that were opened fraudulently stayed on my credit report . I have been constantly disputing this with affirm and Experian and they refuse to do an in-depth investigation . I called both of the companies up to dispute and fix my accounts but they consistently and constantly refused to help me and would just verify the accounts over and over again . I did not understand why and its frustrating because its a genuine unauthorized accounts and they continue to verify it as my account and I KNOW for a FACT they are not doing proper investigations.

      I am filing this complaint against Experian for failing to delete an inaccurate, unverifiable charge-off account after 3 formal disputes. The account is listed as CAP1/KOHLS **** STORE with the incomplete and incorrect account number ****************, which itself violates the ***** requirement for complete and accurate reporting.This account was closed in November 2024 and charged off and written off in February 2025, yet Experian continues to report a monthly balance and missed payments from February 2025 to the present. This is false, misleading, and a violation of FCRA 623(a) and 607(b), as a charge-off is a one-time event and should not be reflected repeatedly in monthly payment history.The reported balance is $459, though the original credit limit was only $300. Both the creditor and the collection agency show $0 in added interest or fees, making this figure inaccurate and unsupported. Meanwhile, Radius Global Solutions is now attempting to collect on the account during an active dispute. I have not signed any agreement with them, nor has any contract with my signature been provided, which makes the debt unverifiable and improperly transferred.More importantly, this same account was deleted by both ********** and ******* after my initial disputes due to their inability to verify its accuracy or completeness. Experians continued reporting creates a conflict between bureaus and shows failure to follow proper reinvestigation procedures as required by FCRA 611 and 602(a).I am demanding that Experian either (1) delete this account immediately or (2) provide, within the remaining 11-day window, a complete description of all reinvestigations conducted, including procedures used, evidence relied upon, and proof that actual investigations were conducted, not just automated verifications or parroting the furnishers data.If these requirements are not met, I will escalate this to the ***** FTC, Attorney General, and pursue legal action under FCRA LAW

      This is my third dispute of the charged-off account reported by CAP1/KOHLS **** STORE on my Experian credit report. The account was closed in November 2024 and charged off in February 2025, yet Experian continues to report a balance every month and monthly missed payments reporting ongoing monthly as a charge off every month. This reporting is false, misleading, and in direct violation of multiple sections of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), including Sections 611, 607, 623, and others.


      The original creditor wrote off the balance and rendered the account to a collection agency to collect in which they did not add any interest or fees, yet the account shows a $459 balance on a $300 credit limit, which is inaccurate. Also the collection agency was trying to collect while the account was in dispute. Furthermore, the masked account number ****************** being reported on my credit report is incomplete and unverifiable.


      This account has already been removed from my TransUnion and Equifax reports due to their inability to verify the accuracy or completeness of the information. Experian, however, has continued to verify it without providing me with the legally required description of the reinvestigations or the procedures used to determine accuracy and completenessdespite my repeated written requests.


      I am requesting BBBs help in getting this account deleted from my Experian credit report, as continued reporting under these circumstances is not only very misleading and very harmful to me and my ability to purchase a home for my family but also most importantly because these are serious violations of FCRA laws. And there is many Violations from the reporting of this account by **********************.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me if they actually had completed an actual investigation and provided me with a description of the reinvestigation and description of procedures used in the reinvestigation. However this dispute has came back as verified for the third time without them providing me with what I requested as mentioned I requested the description of procedures used in reinvestigation and description of the reinvestigation they did NOT provide ANY of that they just auto verified the account without conducting an actual investigation so for the third time I will wait for the business to perform this action within the amount of time that is left according to consumer law and there isnt a lot of time left, if it does, they will find the account is NOT accurate and it cannot be verified if that happens then yes I will consider this complaint resolved. But in order for them to do so they would need to open another dispute since this one came back auto verified as I mentioned without an actual investigation.
