This is a formal complaint against Experian located in *****, ** ************ has repeatedly violated my consumer rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act and has caused me much unnecessary financial AND mental distress. For starters, they're reporting an erroneous & unverifiable account on my credit report and not to mention an account in which I've asked for proof of claim and in which they have not been able to provide, per the ***** Despite my efforts to resolve this unfortunate nightmare for several months now, Experian has completely ignored my communications and legal submissions to remove this inaccurate information from my credit report. I am well aware of the many, many other complaints filed against this company for their illegal and unethical business. Yet, somehow, this company is still in business. ************'s unprofessional & negligent behavior has caused lots of serious harm, not only to my ability to establish credit & good interest rates, but also to my character as a Professional and as an individual. Please help me, and the many other consumers just like me, to put a stop to the operation of these unethical & immoral business practices immediately. I sincerely appreciate your time and assistance in this matter and hope to hear from you very soon. As previously stated, this credit reporting agency is reporting erroneous, derogatory information about me to which is killing my *************************** Professional image. They've refused to send any proof of their claim because they have none since this account has never even existed. Therefore, my only wish is to have them permanently remove the inaccuracies that Ive disputed from my credit file immediately.

I have a problem with Experian's handling of my dispute. I have contacted them on numerous occasions to get some incorrect information fixed and the information is still there. I have sent several letters to the furnishers as well and they too ignore my request and only refer me back to the credit bureau without correcting anything. I have filed previous complaints and they seem to not care about their responsibilities. I am tired of dealing with it.

I have reached out to this company several times regarding inaccurate information being reported on my credit profile and as this is inaccurate information. This company is violating consumer laws. I have sent letters in June, July and August pointing out late payments are being reported on my credit profile which I disagree with. I have requested proof of late payments/where/how this information was obtained. They have failed to validate this information. I further pointed out that although this late payments are inaccurate as I have not paid late, even if this were accuarate (which it is not). They dates reporting late fall under the covid protection period and BY LAW, late payments for that date range cannot report to a credit profile. I also submitted a copy of the law passed in reference to this. I received no response and this illegally reported information has not been removed as the dates are 8/2020-05/2021 and 07/2021

      Business Response

      Date: 12/29/2022

Our office recently received your correspondence regarding the above mentioned consumers personal credit profile.

Our records indicate that we have not previously received this complaint from you or the Better Business Bureau.

We have mailed a current credit report directly to the consumer for review.  If there is information appearing on a credit report that is believed to be inaccurate or incomplete, we must have a specific dispute.  Examples of specific disputes are as follows: not mine, paid in full, never delinquent or included in bankruptcy or for public record disputes: not mine, paid/satisfied, vacated or filed in error.  If the status dates, amounts, balances or other specific data is incorrect, the consumer should also indicate what the correct information should be.  Please specify the item or account name and number.

Please provide the consumers specific disputes along with their complete identification information (Social Security number, full name, current address, previous addresses in the last two years and date of birth).  Also, please include one copy of a government issued identification card, such as a driver's license, state ID card, etc., and one copy of a utility bill, bank or insurance statement, etc.

Thank you for allowing me to assist you.

      Sincerely,
