1 starI recently made an appointment at an Apple store to have the battery replaced in my nearly 4-year-old iPhone 12. After going through the effort to back up the data, remove sensitive apps, and making the 58-mile round trip to the store, I was told that I was "ineligible" for a battery replacement. Even though I was willing to pay for the replacement (which Apple on its website says is available for $89), the store employee told me they only replace batteries that have a capacity of less than 80%.While the 80 percent restriction is a condition for a no-cost replacement under Apple Care, there is no indication on their website that this restriction exists for a paid replacement. Nor would any rational person guess that Apple would refuse a customer willing to pay them their stated asking price, $89.The employee said that if I was concerned about the charging level on my phone, I should buy a new one. My guess is that this is Apple's reason for the 80 percent restriction. Beware if youre thinking about replacing the battery in your iPhone using an Apple authorized service center (I received the same response when I visited Best Buy). You'll be wasting your time unless the charge capacity is below 80%.Review fromDan S

1 starNEVER use ***** website to purchase gift cards. I bought a gift card which states I will receive usually in up to an hour. They took the funds within 2 minutes, but no card emailed. Well next day no card. Contact chat with agent. They were to escalate my case. Later that night it was cancelled. Contact agent and was told they couldnt "verify" me. They took the funds, sent me an email stating I would receive the card in up to an hour.... but you couldn't verify me? And worse my refund will take 5-7 business days to be put back on my card. And they are #3 on Forbes 500 companies list. Absolute Joke.Review fromAmber H

1 starOut of 20 years of having an apple even my kids were raised with them. I have been screwed over so bad because my backup phone was stolen and I reported a $70 charge in 20 years. They canceled every Apple Cash every account over someone stealing my phone using my Apple Cash to pay their electric and I didnt even get the money back. Several games owe me thousands of dollars they left me without electric. Im disabled they did not care ************* did not care theyre hateful and rude. I purchased a brand new set of beats audio in January. I called in the February maybe beginning of March they have a year warranty still the lead came open and I lost one and it had AppleCare plus for 90 days. They would not replace it. They told me there was nothing they can do so now I have a pair of apple or beats audio studio for $260 headphones that I cant even connect one too because it wont Bluetooth to the brand new bones and they refuse so does beats audioReview fromCatherine P

1 starI scheduled an appointment for a repair of the cracked back of my iPhone, which is covered by my AppleCare plan. After checking in, I was informed that no repairs could be completed that day. I subsequently rescheduled for October 27. During that appointment, the staff took my phone for repair. When I returned to pick it up, I noticed that while the back had been fixed, the screen now had deep scratches.I raised this issue with the staff, who acknowledged that they had not taken before-and-after pictures, indicating a failure to follow proper procedure. They offered to repair the screen for free and to provide a complimentary screen protector, advising me to mention the names ********* and **** for reference. Due to time constraints, I initially declined but later confirmed with Apple Support that this offer was valid, and I scheduled an appointment for October 28 at 5:45 PM.Upon my arrival on October 28, I explained the situation and referenced ********* and ****. However, an associate informed me that they would not cover the repair, claiming it was accidental damage. This was a ***** contradiction to the offer made the previous day. After contacting Apple Support again, I was assured that the repair should be completed. When I returned to the store, the manager approached me in an aggressive manner. He raised his voice and demanded to know why I was still there, asserting that he had already informed me they would not fix my screen. His demeanor was intimidating; he stood close to me and spoke in a harsh tone, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere. Despite presenting documentation and support from Apple, he refused to honor the commitment made by the staff the previous day, stating that the Apple Store was not obligated to follow instructions from Apple Support. His aggressive behavior made me feel threatened and violated, as I was merely following the guidance provided by Apple representatives.I left the store without resolution, now with a scratched phone.Review fromOlivia S

1 starWhat a nightmare. I cannot believe I have had the experience I have had.I pre-ordered the iPhone 16 Pro Max in September 2024 and I was so excited to receive it. Upon getting it set up, the camera kept crashing and every other app installed would randomly crash. I had i** 18.0 installed and put up with the issues for another 4 weeks while Apple rolled out two more updates which did not fix the issues. I spoke to someone on chat and they tried to run diagnostics but the phone would not allow them to. They escalated my case to the "higher **** who called me and tried to run diagnostics again. They also could not do it so they set me up with an appointment at the **********. I went to the Genius Bar on October 16 and the young man who helped me was very unenthusiastic and said the only way to fix it would be to reinstall the *** Fine, at this point I just want the camera and apps to work. He said I would lose all of my apps but that it would be easy to install all of them at once. Fine. After getting the ** reinstalled, I realized there was not a way to install all of my apps at once, I had to pick and choose which ones and install them one by one. Then I had to re login to each app. This has taken so long and has resulted in me being locked out of multiple accounts. The straw that broke the camel's back was that 500 contacts dating back 10 years have suddenly gone missing from my phone despite being backed up to iCloud. Yesterday, I went back to the Apple store and asked for help getting my contacts back. I had another employee who seemed like he didn't want to be there and didn't want to help. He said I should try to sync my contacts from my Mac since they still showed up there. I went home and tried this and now the contacts are missing from my Mac as well. I just need help getting my contacts back. Please. This has been such a terrible experience I cannot believe it has come to this.Review fromJB B

1 starI have been with Apple since day one. I mean day one, The first apple Iphone. I have multiple apple product as everyone else in the world today. I have to say, I am done with the Apple products. Apple company used to be Premium only product and now its just like every other manufacture. The innovation has died, the premium customer has died, The putting customers first has died. The quality of product has diminished and the loyalty has never been there for customers. RIP to **********************!!! I pay 9.99/mo for apple care plus for over 2yrs now and have never used it until I tried last week. I put in a express replacement and what do you know the phone that I need replaced is back ordered phone and no way to replace with a different model, no clue when its going to be available but put a hold of $1482 on my apple card for the EXPRESS REPLACEMENT....funny EXPRESS???? what a joke I will never buy apple care again or apple. I think I'm finally going to move on. No resolution or problem solving on their part. Just a quote...sorry *** its apples policy and keep calling back until a replacement phone becomes available. 1 starI made an online order for a MacBook Air. The total price was xxxxx. However, when I received the invoice 5 days later, the price had increased $60. When I called customer service, I was told the price is subject to change. That is unacceptable, and I canceled the order. I agreed to a price, paid it, then Apple increased it $60 without notification or agreement and charged my cc accordingly . I am very disappointed in my interaction with Apple concerning my order. I will have to look at another brand computer.Review fromEric C
