Like the other complaints here, I used Stamps.com once in September 2021. I was then signed up for a Pro plan, without my knowledge. My CC was being charged $15.99 or $17.99 initially and then increased to $19.99 sometime in 2023. (I was not notified of this increase.)From other complaints I've seen online, the subscription details were buried in the account sign up terms and were not obvious to me (or to the hundreds of other users that have filed complaints here). This business should have an F rating with BBB. By my calculations Stamps.com has stolen over $450 from me and almost certainly continues to steal money from hundreds or thousands of other people like me.

We never charge people without their full agreement and awareness during our online registration process.  Our service fee is not based on usage or activity.  The monthly subscription service fee that Stamps.com charges is for access of the Stamps.com software, which allows customers to print postage from the comfort of their home or small office using just a PC and a printer.  Our service is a monthly subscription service so its not based on usage of the software, but rather on having access to using it.

I didnt subscribe to stamps.com monthly services. I didnt know until they couldnt get money from my credit card. They emailed me that they couldnt get money from my credits card and then I was so shock knowing that I had a subscription from stamps.com. I called them and found out that I have an open account with them for more than two years. The account have open for two years without any activity. I didnt receive any email from stamps.com for more than two years about my service with them. I called them and they didnt want to refund even though I didnt subscribe the service. They are very unethical and dont have business morals. They are so snicky in getting money from people.

I just discovered that stamps.com has been charging me a monthly fee for god knows how long. I have no memory of using their service and certainly never agreed to pay them a monthly fee. I was able to cancel the service this morning but the customer service rep says that I still owe them 99 dollars. Ideally I'd like to figure out how long they charged me and get a refund. I can't believe the **** would agree to work with such a obvious scam company

We believe in full disclosure, and information about our fees is available on our website, interface, Terms, and FAQs.
During registration for a Stamps.com account, we explain that your credit card will not be charged unless you continue past the four-week trial or buy additional postage and Online Store products.  We believe the monthly fee provides a good value for customers who need to print not only just Priority and Priority Express Mail shipping labels, but also Shipping Labels for other classes, NetStamps, and postage printed directly on envelopes.  We do have a wide variety of customers - over ************* customers- who enjoy the experience of not having to rely on expensive postage meters and who require more functionality and features than what other PC ******* services currently offer.

On our main page at www.stamps.com, we explain our fees under the section "Here's how it works..."  During the registration process we do make sure that our customers are aware of the monthly service fee in that we have it detailed on the webpage titled Why do you need my credit card information?

We do this so that customers can see the price before they complete the registration process. We also have the billing policy detailed in our Terms and Conditions at:

    www.stamps.com/conditions

Customers are required to review and agree to these Terms prior to completing registration.
In addition, potential customers can review and compare our pricing plans, as well as other important information, to determine which plan best meets their mailing needs via the Learn More section which is accessible from the Stamps.com home page.  We offer FAQs that answer questions about pricing, plans, and specific and general benefits of using Stamps.com:

I signed up for an account but never used your services in any form, I found another way to meet my needs. I was completely unaware of the charges until I discovered them yesterday and, looking not to continue them, Ive canceled my account which resulted in a $1.99 charge to my account on top of the two $19.99 charges from the two months that I was unknowingly paying for services that I never used and never planned to use (These are the charges calculated before tax, after tax it totals to $44.82). Id like to see the funds returned to my account.

I opened an account with ********************** around September 2021. The account was closed ******************* #******* - ********. Stamps.com continued to send me invoices for services that had nothing to do with me; one invoice dated 11/29/22 # ************* was one I returned via certified mail. On the invoice I wrote that the account had been closed on the date above; 11-15-22. I also tried to call but their phone system does not yield a real person despite being transferred multiple times. I received another invoice 7-1-23 for more amounts due that have nothing to do with me, and the account has been closed for over a year. This account had been closed. I want no further invoicing and no further contact from this business.

In August of 2021 I used Stamps.com one time. Since then they have been charging me without my knowledge every month. The amounts of money inexplicably change, as if I am actively making purchases, which I am not.In April 2023 I realized what was happening and made sure to cancel the account. However they kept charging me!! When i tried to log in again, my log in was invalid because the account was canceled. I emailed their customer service and never heard back. Meanwhile the charge comes like clockwork every month. It is fraud and I am so upset that Stamps.com is getting away with this. All in all stamps.com stole $558.79 from my family and I. I may need to cancel my credit card to get this parasitic company off our backs.
