I signed up with the explicit intent on using their custom postage stamp feature. It was advertised on ****** on official Stamps.com pages. I also found mention of it directly through their site. Example links:*************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************, this feature was discontinued some years ago. The above pages and several others have not been changed accordingly or else I would not have signed up for their "services". I only signed up in the first place because of said feature, and it's not even available anymore despite misleading advertising materials on their website.I submitted a support request today because I have not used their site at all, nor do I intend to continue to do so. I cancelled my account recommended by their AI support chat and then I subsequently submitted said refund request. Not only did I not want to continue and pay for next month, I also wanted my money back. As part of the signup process, they brow beat you into depositing money into my "account".If I am not going to ever use the money and I already cancelled my subscription, how can they keep my money that I deposited for my own future use? It was not a payment for any kind of goods or services. There website utilizes false advertising to get people to signup, and they clearly don't want you to get your money back. I did not pay them for something -- I deposited it their for future use in a fashion similar to a bank or so I thought. I didn't realize a supposedly reputable company would try to hold my money hostage and fail to update their website in the past 4 years. This is such a poor level of customer service that nobody in their right mind should utilize their services.Business Response

Dear *******,
Thank you for your inquiry. We appreciate and consider your feedback and take our customers concerns very seriously. We show that you canceled during the 4-Week Trial Period so rest assured that you will not be charged any service fees. Thank you so much for your feedback and we sincerely apologize for any misunderstanding that occurred.
We show that you have been refunded the postage balance of $10.00 back to your credit card on 12/18/24.
Depositing postage funds into the account is not required. Any remaining purchased postage is refunded once an account is closed. We do not keep these postage funds and apologize for any misunderstanding regarding this issue. We do not obtain postage funds for prints or failed prints. Postage funds are purchased from the ***** not Stamps.com. Stamps.com is a neutral party in such transactions; we do not capture the funds for postage, and we do not make a margin on postage.
We appreciate your feedback regarding this issue. When you click on "Add Funds" and select the amount that you wish to purchase, we provide a Confirm Transaction screen that states: "Please confirm that you wish to add [$ dollar amount]to your account balance.
Rest assured that we have escalated your concerns to our Product, ********************* Teams for further review regarding the pages you are referring to. We take these issues very seriously and we apologize for the negative experience. The PhotoStamps program was discontinued in June 2020. As stated directly at our site of ************************************ "Sadly, the **** ************** has ended its customized postage program and we are no longer able to offer PhotoStamps."

Stamps.com fraudulenty is charging me ***** per month and I never signed up for a monthly service, and it won't let me cancel or remove my credit card. I bought one mailing label one time, for less than ten dollars, and there are no emails or info on their website about why they are charging me. This started when I bought one mailing label in October and they charged me ***** in November and in December.Business Response

I have been charged $21.76 every month since July 2023 without notice or a receipt, despite only using the service once when I initially created the account. I was not informed about any subscription fees or automatic renewals. Whats most frustrating is that I never received any notifications or receipts for these charges, except for a receipt for a $10 balance top-up, which I assumed was the only fee. This is highly misleading and completely unacceptable. I am requesting a full refund of $391.68.Business Response

I originally signed up for this service to look at pricing for shipping. However, it was not at all made clear to me that I was signing up to be charged $19.99 a month after a trial period. Additionally, I received no notice that the trial was going to end, or any recurring notice of the cost of this service. This is incredibly dishonest, especially seeing how this company has so many bad reviews here and elsewhere. I have not yet closed my account as others have reported cancellation fees, yet another scammy practice.I demand a full refund and account closure.Business Response

Dear Henrik,
Thank you for your inquiry. We appreciate and consider your feedback and take our customers concerns very seriously. We do consider the fees charged to be valid and appropriate. However, rest assured that we refunded $59.97 on 12/16/24. We have closed your account. We do not charge cancellation fees per se. We charge a fee for the cycle you are in when you cancel. We always bill at the end of each cycle, in arrears. We do not bill at the start of the cycle.
We show that an account was activated with us on 8/31/24.
We fully disclose our fees and terms prior to account creation and apologize for any misunderstanding regarding our services. We do not bill without consent and authorization from our customers. We fully disclose our billing structure and fees prior to creating an account, and all users must select a pricing level and agree to our fees prior to account creation.
To create and fully activate a Stamps.com account, our multi-step registration process must take place at our website of www.stamps.com. Registration requires you to enter your name, mailing address, phone number and credit card information, in addition to creating a username and password and selecting two security questions. *********** fee is not based on usage or activity. The monthly subscription service fee that Stamps.com charges is for access of the Stamps.com software, which allows customers to print postage from the comfort of their home or small office using just a PC and a printer. *********** is a monthly subscription service so its not based on usage of the software, but rather on having access to using it.

I created an account back in April 2024 without knowing there was a subscription required for opening an account. Nothing was billed between April-October. On 11/25/24 I was charged $119.94, causing my account to overdraft. The best customer service could do is cancel the account and refund $39. Completely shady.Business Response
