Please dont fall for the 3 year 36k mile service scam. Hyundai will tell you that you can only get 4 oil changes on **** mile intervals. The problem is from the time I left the dealership the vehicle had a sticker asking to service every **** miles and now Hyundai says sorry we can get the 5th or 6th oil change since you are not driving normal miles. Who drives **** a year like they expect you to do and with the known Hyundai oil consumption engines who is going to wait until **** miles. I contacted Hyundai consumer affairs and this was sort of their response.

Hyundai Motor America stands out as one of the most reprehensible in the world. Despite potential improvements in vehicle quality, their customer care and service remain at rock bottom. Attempting to resolve a complaint or concern with them is a near-impossible task, reflecting a level of incompetence and neglect that is utterly unacceptable. They operate like a third-world outfit, turning a blind eye to outright fraud within their dealerships. To Hyundai: clean up your act or continue losing customers. My advice to anyone considering their vehicles is simplesteer clear unless you're prepared to bring legal backup to their dealerships. Your hard-earned dollars deserve better treatment.

On 11/24/23 I bought a **** Hyundai *************** and I was in love with it and it was all good. Until 12/21/23 not even 4 weeks later and it was our 1st rain storm in my new car (I live in SoCal). I woke up to a flooded car (no the windows or moonroof was not open). My entire passenger side front and back had 3-4 inches of rain water in the car. I took it to the dealership and apparently there was a reported issue with my car and its a window panel issue. There is a hose that runs under the hood of the car and goes along side the passenger side of the car and drains the front window shield water into the outside of the car, however, my hose pours the water INTO the car. So I took it to the dealership and they kept it for 2 weeks. They had to get a "special detailing" approved from Hyundai because of the wet carpet and smell. I picked up the car on 1/2/24 I was in a rush and was just glad it did not smell. When I got home later that day I went to the passenger side of the car and lifted the carpet (not the mat) up and put my hand under it and it was soaking wet still. It was already later in the day so I couldn't've taken it back that night. That night it also rained again, so on 1/3/24 it was soaking wet again on top of them returning it to me the day before STILL WET, which they admitted to. On 1/5/24 I called corporate to file a complaint and request a buy-back. At this point I am worried about mold under the carpet in the padding, mildew, rust under the padding and under the car, ***** bolts holding my seat down, electrical problems due to the electrical boxes under the passenger seat, and who knows what other damage it caused. Today is 1/17/24 it is STILL in the shop and what is making me madder is that the dealership has yet to give me a single update. Every few days they text and say we will have an update soon. The only update I want to hear at this point is from my case manager with National Consumer Affairs saying your buy-back has been APPROVED.

With the second vehicle that I've financed from Hyundai Motor Finance, this is the absolute worst customer service I've experienced. I spoke with **** this morning and she put me on hold to find out the status of my title transfer [due to a divorce] as it's been three weeks since my ex initially submitted the request through the portal. Not ONE person followed up with us. I phoned in this morning only to be informed that the vehicle has to be refinanced. Now, why isn't that information on your website/why isn't there communication via email or a phone call??? This is unacceptable and after this, I will be turning this car in and getting a new car from another manufacturer.

Hyundai is no longer a reliable car manufacturer. Purchased a car in 2017. It has needed and had 2 replacement engines after very long and difficult arguments with Hyundai. In December 2023, the car broke down again, they said it needed another new engine, and it was not under warranty. Well, last year there was a class action suit that states that all Hyundai engines, including replacement engines, have an extended ******* mile/15 year warranty. This car is way withing that limit, yet they are refusing to repair the car. Over one month later, we are still trying to get assitance with anyone in that company. They take over a week to respond, closer to two, to repsond to anything you send them. And they never have a clear answer or understanding of what has transpired with the car, the dealer, or with the class action law suit.NEVER BUY A HYUNDAI!

I have a 2015 Genesis Hyundai with just ***** miles on it. My engine light has been on for 2 1/2 years. When I took it in it only had ***** so it was covered. At first they told me it was bad fuel and charged me to flush it out . They turned the engine light off and I drove away. Within 2 weeks the light was back on. I returned only for them to tell me it was the catalytic converter. They covered it under my warranty. After almost 3 months my car was finally ready. I picked it up and the engine light was back on within a week. I returned the car to them again. Six weeks later I picked it up again. I asked what it was and they told me they didnt find anything and turned it off again. It stayed off for about 4 weeks and the engine light came on again. This time I called Hyundai corporate. They couldnt do anything for me because the Hyundai dealerships are individually owned. They just told me to take it to another dealership. So I did. They told me the engine light could be on for literally a ******************************************************************************************************** August 2023 and they kept telling me they had no loaner cars to loan me and they would call me when one was available. ********* is now **** and my engine light is on and I have never heard from the dealership . of course it is making it very difficult to trade it in with the engine light on. I will never buy from Hyundai again. Corporate wont even get involved. It shows they dont stand by the name of their cars. I would have given them 0 stars but I think I had to pick something.

Took my Hyundai in to ********** Hyundai and it was never fixed. I was advised they had to do a multi point inspection and I would know all things wrong on car that needed to be fixed. I paid to have ignition fixed and door handle fixed and well now my door wont open and the car has to have key to shift release. I then talked to new mechanic and was advised its a faulty ignition switch. Then whenI asked Hyundai about the work they lied . Horrible customer service and horrible service center. NEVER BUY A HYUNDAI they lie and dont back their work.

Hyundai is still a junk car company, with terrible quality, and does not stand by their products. We have a Hyundai Elantra with 75k miles, and the engine has to be replaced. It is 1 year past the 10 year warranty, but Hyundai created an extended warranty because this is a known issue and acknowledged by Hyundai on their own website. However, they denied any repair assistance, and when speaking with the ************************* they tell us they have no way of contacting Hyundai Motors to escalate or appeal the decision. So your own ************************ can't reach someone within the same company? Lies and deceit, and unacceptable customer service. Will never buy another ********************** in our lifetime and will make sure none of our friends or family are fooled by their marketing claims of better quality either.
