Charges through MODERNLIFET ************ Bought 3 lighters on 12/09/24 that arrived not as advertised! Supposed to be rechargeable NOT butane. I placed an order for a self defense product on January 2, 2025. The company subsequently charged me for the product as well as a a VIP membership which I did not order. I retained my original receipt for the product which clearly shows I did not order the VIP membership. I immediately emailed their customer relations, at the email address they provided, about the issue on the same date to rectify. I have company the phone number listed on my order receipt for their customer relations department since 1/2/25 five times and left five messages to call me but Ive never heard from them nor even had a missed phone call. I have emailed the company three times since 1/2/25 but have never heard from them. Ive done more research about this company and now I feel I have been scammed which I have reported to ******. As *** also found out, this company has a history of this behavior with the Better Business Bureau complaints and, even though they noted, they would rectify the problem, they clearly have them. On 12/18/24, I placed an order for 2 portable heaters. I realized w/in 15 minutes that they were not the items I wanted so contacted the company immediately by phone, and of course, every time I have called, no agents available. It says leave name and phone #, which I have and no response. So I immediately emailed to cancel order and explained why. I have now emailed company *** and always get the same scripted message that they will are working hard to respond to all inquiries asap. No response. I have copies of all emails and dates and in my last email, I told them that I was contacting you. Meanwhile, the heaters that I attempted to cancel multiple times arrived and I have not opened pkg. I ordered a portable heater from Brownstone Resources last month and gave it to my daughter yesterday as a Christmas gift. She plugged it into a wall socket but it would not stay plugged in. I was charged for a "Mystery Box" that I did not order. I read the reviews on the BBB and found this is a common complaint. I am frustrated that I have to defend my bank accounts from predators and knowing that many other people have to do the same because of some scam being run from a *** store amplifies my frustration and anger.Business Response

On 11/30/24, I ordered 5 AutoAir pumps. No email confirmation of the order was received, but my credit card was charged $309.94 on 12/4/24. On 12/16/24, I left a message with Brownstone Resources detailing my concern and have not received a response. While I had been hopeful that the problem was due to a busy holiday season, I am very dissatisfied and feel I've been duped. I ordered three scopes for a phone to zoom in on far away objects. I thought I ordered the clips to hold them on the phone but I must have clicked the case instead. They will not let me purchase the clips because I misclicked. The scope is useless without them. I did not want to return anything, but if I can't order the clips, I have to. Their customer service is in a foreign country and they do not understand nor do they care. When I called, I asked for a manager and was hung up on. When I called back, it was an answering machine.
