October 10 - Engine blew in 2022 stinger. ****** miles. *** month later, no rental car, no updates. Say they are waiting on engine to arrive. Meanwhile making car payments for a car we cannot drive. Wouldnt be as big of a deal if they would give us a rental. They do not care.

My vehicle had full engine failure and caused me to be stranded in the middle of *******. I was returning home to ******** from *******. The car was in ******* for 5 months being repaired *** offered no assistant during that period of time, even though the car was under warranty. After I finally received the car back I was told I'd be reimbursed for car payments, insurance, rentals, and other expenses related to the the vehicle being repaired under warranty. I submitted all of the information they requested on August 17 2022 and was told that I would receive a reimbursement in approximately 45 days. I called to check on the status and was told that not only do they not provided updates on payments as they don't have the information but that the paperwork I submitted had never been submitted by the agent that assisted me and that they were no long with the company. Today Nov 9th 2022 I reached out again I was met with an immediate attitude from the rep who said they receive no updates on reimbursement payment even though they are assigned "case managers" it's been over 120 days since I originally sent the reimbursement paper work and 9 months since the engine failed. *** has not been helpful or honest at all during the process. I lost my job due to lack of transportation because it took 5 months to replace the engine which when the car was returned was still not working correctly and needed further service. I will never buy another *** again the customer service is rude, uniformed, and acts as if you're inconveniencing them by asking for updated that they state they don't have access to and yet they file the claims. I submitted the correct paper work in Aug and their employee didn't do his job so I their customer now get treated like dirty because I have to wait another 45+ days because of their own internal issues with a staff member.

I do not recommend Kia * My car has been in an auto body shop since the end of July , and Im still waiting on a harness in which they have no update on * Meanwhile , I am paying a car that I am not driving * *** called corporate and the first representative lied to me and told me that they will be expediting the part and that I should receive it by October 18th * I called again yesterday October 25th, and I spoke to a very rude representative who told me that the part was on back order and their arent any updates on the part so theres nothing she can do about it and I just have to wait *I asked to speak to a manager and she also responded with theres nothing we can do * This company will take your money , and wont provide you with any solution* Meanwhile , ** struggling to get to work everyday and dont know when I will be able to get my vehicle back !

I will never purchase a *** again. We had an oil consumption issue when our *017 Forte was at about ****** miles. They just made an excuse that *** uses more oil than other cars and had no warranty. So, *** doesn't warranty the ******* miles as they say they do. *** did an oil change and a month later the car had no oil. Took it to *** and was advised the same thing, *** uses more oil. They were charging us to do a diagnostic so we decided to take our car somewhere else, and we were advised to take it to *** because it seemed like an engine problem and because the car is not old and under warranty, they should fix it. Called *** and all they said is that the car was out of warranty and *** uses more oil. We had * oil changes in * months. Sent *** * request through their website and never received a call back, an email or letter. I sent a message to *** through ******** and all I got was we are checking into it; we need your Vin # and gave them the *** *********** where we had our car because it was undrivable and nothing. A year into the issue to where my car did not start and was undrivable, they said it would cost us unless they thought it was a *** issue and we are talking about thousands of dollars not $300. $500 or $1000. This is *** for you so just want to Thank *** for frustration, for the stress and just proving to me that they are the worse in customer service.

Scum. I took my car in and wanted a recall on the engine and they gave me the run-a-round for 6 months. I waited, was patient. I got a call at the end of the six months that said they can't do anything. And if I didn't pick up my car in a couple days, they would put a lien on the car or sell it (without any permission). Complete thievery and mafia style.

*** does not stand behind their product and uses loop holes to escape repairing faulty engines. There have been multiple lawsuits and thousands of customers affected by engine failures that occur with no warning. I bought a 2017 *** **** in Jan of 2021. At the 79K mile **** the engine started knocking slightly, 2 days later it was completely undriveable. I was told it has rod bearing failure and will need a complete new engine. Repair estimates are between 9K-13K. *** says they will not pay to fix it because of a "product improvement campaign" (different than a recall!!) that was not done. I was never notified of this. The product improvement does nothing to fix the faulty engines, only to notify the driver WHEN the engine is about to fail, because KNOW it will fail. *** says, "that's too bad" and will flat out not help me. The extended warranty plan i purchased does not cover repairs that are under manufacturer's warranty, so they referred me to ***. It's a classic Catch 22. I now have found there is a class action lawsuit that was just filed about this engine failure issue that has been going on for YEARS! I had to buy a **** Pontiac Grand Am for $3500 just to have a car to drive while this issue is resolved. Add that to the 11K I still owe on my loan, 13K for repairs and MONTHS to wait since (faulty) new engines are on backorder! I have family members who own ***'s I have told them to make sure the dealership checks your engines and get it all in writing!! otherwise they will weasel out on any repairs. Having the manufacturer's warranty means nothing, *** will not even fix cars that have burst into flames because of this defect! Read the class action case yourself Case No. 8:18-cv-02223-JLS-JDE

In August of 2021 I purchased a used 2016 *** ******* I was unaware of the issues with the engine knocking. After about a month of going back and forth they finally replaced my engine but now they are telling me that I will not be reimbursed for my out of pocket expenses because I did not meet the deadline, but when I filed my claim originally this year I was told to submit my receipts and I would be reimbursed well that is just a lie. When I went onto their website to submit the claim it stated that I was eligible for reimbursement, what a crock. I will not recommend anyone to buy a *** because of this false and misleading way they conduct their business. I still have not heard back from anyone from *** on this matter as they keep telling me that my e-mails are being reviewed and someone will be in touch
