1 starThis is regarding the La Fitness located at ***********************************************************************************. This has to do with sanitary issues only. Over the last three (3) months, there has been (4) different occasions where all the paper towel dispensaries were completely out of paper towels. Im not taking about some of them or the custodian was not filling up the dispensaries in time. They were out for multiple days. No one was able to sanitize the machines in any way. There was also no sanitary wipes as a temporary placement. A lot of the members were complaining of this issues. I first notified the manager at the location and he told me it was a vendor issue. This is a term for budget issue. After I noticed it again, I sent an email to the personnel where they take complains via online. That person also said it was a vendor issue. Once the paper towels were completely out again, I emailed the same person once more. The issue was corrected for about 2 weeks *** and then once again theyre completely out. Whatever head corporation documents dirty clubs need to visit this one asap. Lastly, I also notice the A/C has not been on as much in the gym. This would be another way to save on a budget. If you cant afford the NECESSITIES for a gym, then you have to start looking at other options. Please fix this issue. Thank you.Review fromMontish S.

1 starLa fitness at ****************, ** is a very poorly run organization and their policies are very fraudulent. They sell personal training with annual membership and then midway are not able to provide trainers. Its a revolving door for trainers so Im sure that they are not treated professionally either . I have many pending session worth almost 2k and they refuse to provide me a trainer .Review fromMelinda W.

1 starThe worst experience Ive ever had! I signed up for the gym and personal training last October only for two months later they(****** area and ******, **) were constantly back and forth about closing or not. I went a month paying for personal training but didnt get any training. Finally called corporate their solution set me up with someone at the other location (I was going to ****** they set me up with ******), that trainer was late or constantly pushing back the time scheduled or canceling last minuteI have one payment left for personal try if I honestly dont want to go back to that gym and Im told I can do a buyout but after this crappy service I shouldnt have to pay more for less than decent service. I dont want to have to change my debit card information so that I wont get charged anymore. Management is not helpful neither is corporate, no one wants to listen and understand this is not acceptable. Ive paid too much money for c*** service. Corporate was supposed to call me back still have not heard from them about the last training session I was supposed to have that the trainer gave a 30 minute notice of not being able to make the time wanted me to change the time and if I couldnt hed have to cancel. At that point I was just over the mess so I let him cancel because I was tired of constantly rearranging to fit his time. This company breached the contract when I didnt get training for a whole month but was still charged for it. I just want no more money to go to them from me please.Review fromhaydi h

2 starsAverage LA Fitness Gym overall. Misleading and cunning practices by the local management team. I experience delayed and misinformation when attempting to cancel both membership and personal training sessions despite completing the contract terms when I moved our of state. Corporate does not provide effective assistance and asks you to personally handle it with the local management team. I highly suggest other members or potential users to beware of such practices. 1 starI had to use the rest room only and I stopped to WPB military location. I had to go really bad so I did not sign in being that I had a new phone and number and I couldn't scan due to me having to use the restroom. I explained to the manager at the front "AJ" and a manager named **** and wrote my name down for them to try to find me.**** said said ok I could use the ** and come back up since it was emergency. They held me up for about a good 2 mins which made my urge worst and before I could reach the ** I had a small accident. I decided I would just rinse off in shower and go back out to sign in afterwards.Aprox 1to 2mins after I even reached the back I heard lady vc saying "MAM" "MAM" The front desk manager "AJ" came and pulled curtain back with her phone while I was showering. She said I had not scanned in and threatened to call the police.i explained I was a member and she demanded I come up front and get out of the shower. I asked her 5 times what was her name but she refused to tell me.She stood there with her phone while I was naked.i put on my clothes and as she watched and stalled to find my membership on the phone to prove to her. She left after maybe 5 mins and another girl came Bk and switched spots with her while I scrolled my email for my memberships she so desperately needed to see. Finally I found it and walked to the front explaining to ************** lady what happened.She agreed it was a bit extreme. I made it to front and **** scanned me in while "AJ" watched.**** then walked over and said"U were bk there for a while"I noticed he didn't see ******** me in and still assumed I wasn't a member. I explained I would never ever step foot in another LA Fitness gym again.i called next day to get the name and contact of a regional manager but was refused by the same manager on the phone when I asked her name she said "AJ". If I have to post this on a 100 review sites I will. She violated me in so many ways.i hope my reviews reach the right individuals. **Review fromMichael G.

1 starI payed my monthly membership with a different card and requested the card to only be used this particular time only. I specifically told the customer service rep to never use this card without my permission and it was charged the next month without my permission! I discovered through a friend that is a GM with the company that they get a commission when they add a new card on my file. I have tried to get the money refunded to that card and they said they cant do it. This should be a crime using someones information without their permission.Review fromWilliam D

1 starI chose to cancel my membership with LA Fitness/Esporta, since I was no longer using the gym. I went online and completed their process, printed and mailed the form they require. A month later, my membership was still not cancelled, and my credit card is still being charged. I called the local gym I was using, and they informed me that I needed to send a certified letter (at my expense) in order to cancel the membership, or I would need to come in and cancel in person.From my viewpoint, this is just bad business on their part. Years ago, I was using Day Passes with the same gym occasionally, and was therefore included in a class action suit, naming LA Fitness for defrauding its members. The plaintiffs won the suit, and I was awarded a 45 day free membership. Apparently, they did not learn from their experience.I will not recommend this gym to anyone, and will not renew my membership at any point, as a result of this bad customer service. Clearly, their efforts to place barriers to cancellation gives them a few more monthly ********, but it will cost them much more in the long run.Smart businesses have figured this out by now. 1 starI frequented the LA Fitness at the address of ******************************************************** located in the ********** Marketplace. I had printed out my fee three-day trial pass as advertised on LA Fitness's website. I wanted to get a feel of how their location was. Once I arrived after driving for 30 plus minutes I was told by the on-duty manager that they were no longer accepting the three-day free trial passes due to some negative incidents months ago at other LA Fitness locations. I then had to pay for one day pass of $20 just to work out for the day. The free day trial passes are still being offered though and nowhere on the LA Fitness website does it state that these trial passes have been discontinued. I feel as that is false advertising and could be perceived as a scam. Please rectify this issue LA Fitness or this will deter future prospective members from signing up with your gym.Review fromGreg V.

1 starI'm writing to bring attention to the filthy conditions at ESPORTA in ********, ** on ***************. The locker room, toilets, sinks, mirrors, countertops are always in the same condition; never clean. They apparently have a 3rd party cleaning crew but, the cleaning crew does not appear to take cleanliness seriously. The showers are disgusting, mold growth inside the shower stalls and it looks like no one has kept them ** in years. There are no paper towel dispensers to clean up after yourself at the sink; mirrors are always dirty and countertops are dirty. The employees at the front desk do nothing but play on their cell phones, literally, not an exaggeration; getting paid, to sit, and play on their cell phones and chit chat with each other. Usually there are two people behind the desk when I come work out in the morning sometimes there are three; you would think they would have awareness or instruction by their management to go in every morning and clean the bathrooms, make sure shower stalls are clean, as well as sinks and mirrors. Instead, management allows a complete ineptitude by their employees and instead pays for a third party to come and do nothing. What a business model! I hope this gets to the right people that can actually enforce change. The one thing that is present at the ESPORTA in ********, ** on *************** is apathy.
