      We bought our home in 2020, 7 months later sunpower opened a lien on our solar panels on our home without our knowledge. (Previous owner paid panels in full so no balance was owed). Fast forward to today, we are trying to sell our home and are at a standstill because of this lien. Just found out they filed for bankruptcy and are giving clients an estimate of ***** days to get any necessary life event paperwork back to them. My closing date is in 2 weeks. I signed a lease that I will now lose money on because I have to stay in our home until we get this figured out. Every time I call sunpower, Im on hold for 2 hours and only once have I been able to speak to someone. My home is most likely going to fall out of escrow because of sunpower. I have submitted all the proof to the title company that panels are paid off/ no balance owed but until sunpower clears this Lien there is nothing we can do.

      We are in the process of selling our home, for which we leased and had installed (by SunPower, or "**") a 9.68kWH ** solar system (including batteries) in September, 2023 (the System). We have made timely monthly lease payments via ***. For the first year, everything worked well. On or around September 2, 2024, our System stopped functioning altogether. We've called every ** related support line imaginable, with no response. **s lack responsiveness/solutions, coupled with the facts that the System no longer works, significantly threatens the closing of the sale of our home sale, which will result in significant damages to **, its successors and assigns. Multiple trusted ********** providers, including the #1 service provider in our area, informed us that SunPower turned off all its monitoring systems roughly 2-3 weeks ago, which is exactly when our system stopped functioning. In fact, that same service provider informed us that the only way to salvage our system is to install new micro-inverters in each of our 27 panels, at a significant cost.Our demands are simple and require prompt attention. We need each of the following issues to be resolved poste haste:1.Resolution of the system not working.2.Approval by Sunpower, its successors or assigns of the lease transfer from us to the purchasers of our home.3.Notification from Sunpower of the cost of buying out the remaining term of our lease. Please note that even if our buyers remain interested in buying out the ** lease, we will offset any costs to make the system functional against future lease payments.4.Timely, solution-oriented responses and actions by SunPower, its successors and assigns. As noted above, we have been unsuccessful at reaching anyone at Sunpower who can help. Should SunPower fail to respond, we will simply cease making lease payments and use those payments to pay third parties to effect changes to make our panels functional again.

      Am Currently Trying to buy this home to move in at *****************************************************************************************. I moved out of my ******* home with family of 6 but I cant move in due to the solar transfer now am just staying with family can you please help

      In may 2025 my solar panels stopped producing. I called the service department from sunpower, it took them 60 days to respond. When the technician was sent, he said that the (transformer) was bad. Since then I have been waiting for a response or email to confirm, that they are going to fix my system. I called numerous phone #s No success! When I was able to talk to customer service they first said, part was back ordered, then on 09-27-24 they send me an email stating that they will contact me within 3 business days, Now all the phones are not taking calls. We have our account in outpay. Last payment was sent on 10-01-24. Mainly there is a performance guarantee to customers which reimburses customers for the electricity paid to PG&E on those months that the system has been down. And still Inoperative till Today.

      There are 2 issues at hand.1. I noticed that our solar system stopped producing in June and worked with the team to do a remote diagnosis. They determined that our inverters were not working and we scheduled an appointment for a technician to come work on our system in August ***** #********). Once the bankruptcy was announced, our appointment was cancelled and we could not make contact with the company. Our panels have still not been serviced though we're still under warranty. We lease the panels and **************** is still collecting lease payments every month.2. We were in the process of refinancing our home when the bankruptcy was announced. We needed assistance with the *** filing since they have a lien on our home. We used the Life Events site to get this process going and have since not received any assistance from the team. Our closing was September 3, 2024 and have been delayed since then. I have called their contact numbers, been on hold for hours only to reach a silent line, or be put in an endless loop of department handoffs with no human to help.

      I opened escrow on a new property (located in *******) in September. My agent, the seller, my husband and myself have contacted SunPower multiple times to get the solar panels transferred to us so that we may close escrow. We are continuously getting the run around with "we are working on it" or "we can't talk to you because you are the buyer." We spoke to the escrow company, and they cannot start the escrow transfer because SunPower has put a lien on the house. The lien needs to removed (it should have never been there to begin with but a *** should have been) We need the transfer of the panels in order to move forward. SunPower is the only piece holding up escrow. We are aware of the bankruptcy, however, if SunPower claims to still own panels and is demanding payment, then they need to be able to transfer to us, the new owners in order to get the panels transferred. Attached is the seller's statement agreement for property and seller's information.

      On September 24, 2024, my wife and I began the purchase of a property located at *******************************************************************We began escrow with the seller , ***** J ********. The seller had immediately submitted the solar panel lease transfer paperwork as required. I was advised to contact sunpower to begin the transfer on my end. I was told by sunpower to just sit and ***** until they processed everything. It has now been over 2 weeks and nothing has been done. I have followed sunpowers guidelines on email requests and after submitting numerous requests I have yet to hear back at all. Today 10/9/24 I was told by the realtor that the seller ***** ******** is also not getting any response from sunpower. The escrow date is fast approaching and sunpower is not contacting anyone. It is now looking like because of sunpower, escrow is going to be extended. The impression is that sunpower does not care about what they are doing and how it is affecting the sale of residences.       We have been calling Sunpower for the last few weeks trying to either transfer my solar contract or pay off the system and they have been completely unresponsive. My agent and I have been calling daily and getting tickets filed for them to go nowhere. This is the final step in order to sell the property that these solar panels are at and we have no recourse. ******** services lines have either been disconnected, put you on hold indefinitely, or the *** simply hangs up on you. I don't need questions answered at this point, I just want to get rid of these solar panels and sell my property.

      Not responding to customer-initiated "help ticket" within the timeframe stated via customer service. ********************** has a history of poor customer service and lacks viable communication. I am having a problem and need immediate assistance with a solar panel. It is next to impossible to get in touch with a person.
