I was contacted by a sales rep who wanted to ship me free stuff to check out their drill bits. Once I received the package I knew I wasn’t interested as they are very poor quality. I contacted the company to initiate a return and was told to put the items in box and ship them back. I am not willing to pay for shipping their items back to them. No one ever contacted me or sent me a shipping label to return their Poor quality items. Now I receive a phone call saying I cannot return as the due date has passed and i must pay for the items I don’t want or they will hit my credit. This company has poor communication and give people the run around when they want to return their items.Business Response

The business calls unsolicited with a fast talking high pressure salesperson promising free gifts and a trial on high quality drill bits. If you allow them to send the gifts and drill bits you can try them free of charge for 30 days and return if not satisfied. If satisfied then pay the invoice within the 30 days. I allowed the items to be sent. Once received I opened the box that they were shipped in by UPS. Upon inspection I concluded that the drill bits are not worth the price I was billed. I called the number that the salesperson gave me on the initial call and asked to speak with him to discuss returning the unused bits and the gifts. The person who answered was not the salesperson but said they would give him a message to return my call. That return call never happened. Now we are past the 30 day period and I'm getting text messages saying my account is overdue. I called the number that was on the message and explained my situation and asked if I could return the items which are unopened because I felt the price was extremely unfair for these items. I was told in a rather rude fashion they would not except a return. I then offered to pay for the shipping myself to return the items and was again told in no such way would they except the return and that if I didn't pay their invoice I would be charged interest indefinitely and reported to the credit bureau. All I was asking was to return their products which I deemed to be not worth the value they placed on them. This after they solicited me. And upon researching the company on the internet I find many of the exact complaints that I have. This is a bunch of scammers it seems.Business Response

This company called me asking if I would like a “free sample” of some tools. I was kind of reluctant since there are so many scams out there but unfortunately I agreed after he said it would be no cost at all. Two weeks later, I receive a 30 pound box full of tools, along with a bill saying I owe $499 for everything. I never agreed to have any of that shipped to me. I was told it was a free sample. They are marketing this as a free sample and sending tools that they expect payment for. I called today and asked for a return shipping label as I do not want the tools and I don’t want this placed on my credit report if I don’t send payment for tools that I don’t need or want! The lady on the phone keeps saying I did authorize the shipment but I was told a free sample, nothing about 499 dollars worth of tools that I must send payment for. They are scamming people by saying it’s a free sample. They have agreed to send a return shipping label but my only concern, after reading many reviews of this business, is if they receive the tools, they still decide to say we owe money for the tools and decide to turn it into collections and start harassing us for money. I do not trust anything they say. I can’t believe they are getting away with this. Also, they are illegally recording phone calls, the lady I talked to said all calls are recorded that the representatives make, I was never told at any point I was being recorded.Business Response

On August 17 2022 I received a phone call from a sales rep wanting to send me a bunch of free stuff if id try some drill bits. I informed him that I don't use bits so he asked what I needed. I told him my company needed a Hydraulic Air floor jack for our semis. he said he had one and would send it with a bunch of other free stuff like gloves, safety glasses etc. I received my package a few days later and all the sent was a bottle jack. Nothing free or what I said I needed. I contacted customer service ASAP. Mine you since we are a business all our calls incoming are recorded. A customer service rep named ****** ******* responded to my email the next day of Aug 22nd. She apologized and gave my an approval to send it back. She didn't give me a pre paid shipping label and I stated I wasn't when they screwed up. she said she wasn't authorized to send a pre paid return label and she would have a customer service rep call me. No one did till 30 days later when the called for payment. I informed them I wasn't paying and the I was lied to and the gentleman said he would have someone get with me from sales. finally a sales guy called and told me he would get the right item to me and would call me back. Never did. Then Robert from billing called again a week later on OCT 11 and he told me he saw were they denied my return due to me waiting 30 days. I filed within1 day of receiving it. I have all emails to prove it. He said he would escalate it. I have all calls recorded all emails saved. They do not want to send me a prepaid return label nor do they want to deal with the situation. been a big run around. Im contemplating a lawsuit. I want them to get there item and hip it back at there expense and be done. I will not pay for this itemBusiness Response

We haven't paid it yet. They are threating taking us to court.
You all called and called our business trying to sale us product. We have told you all over and over an over that we didn’t want your products. On 08/18/22 the salesman kept trying to get us to order drill bits. We told him over and over that we didn’t want the drill bits and he kept saying to let him send them an if we didn’t like them that we didn’t have to pay for them. He sent us to a lady to close order out and ship them. We even told that lady that we didn’t want them. Then after the drill bits came in the back of the invoice says that you have 30 days and that they is a 10% restocking fee. We called in the day the drill bits came in. We will not be paying for the drill bits and if you want them returned, please let me know how you would like returned with shipping label and we will be glad to return them. We will not pay a restocking fee it was never discussed on the call. If you play the call, you will hear that we tell him that they aren’t any good and we don’t want them. Please send us an account statement with a $0.00 balance. See attached file. Our attorney review and said that it would be hard to beat this in court. He has also reached out to the California Attorney General about this.Business Response

This company contacted me and wanted me to try some tools and told me they would send me a bunch of free stuff and when I get the box it is ripped open. In the first thing it says is made in China and I was told these were all made in the USA. I've yet to open this box after seeing the China label on one of the products and I asked them for a shipping label to return and they refused. To top it off though, they called me while I was living in Illinois and they recorded me In the state of Illinois. It is a two-party state and I did not agree or consent to being recorded. Obviously after searching the internet about this company it is a complete scam and my next step is to get State attorney general's involved and put an end to this as they have threatened my credit and already broke the law.Business Response

I received a cold call promoting their tool set. I was told it would be at no cost to me if I didn’t want to keep the product so I called back within a few days of receiving the tool set telling them I didn’t want to keep the product to which they said they’d send a return label out to me “in a couple days”. After not receiving the label a week later, I called back to inquire about the label and was told AGAIN that I’ll be receiving a return label. I made several more calls in regards to sending the product back over the course of the next few weeks, each time saying that I never wanted the product and was still waiting on a return slip from them that they said they were going to send. After a few more weeks, I was contacted by the company saying I would have to pay for the product since I didn’t return it. After explaining that I was told on multiple occasions that I was going to be getting a return label from them, they said I was NOT going to be getting a label and that I’m responsible for the cost of the product since it wasn’t returned even though they have record of me calling them and being told that I would be getting return labels printed and sent to me. The issue was NOT resolved and I’m being left with the entire cost of the product which I never wanted.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 181**452, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me however, on july 30 2022 as per Robert they have in their system that i called to return the product and they never printed the labels and sent out to me like they said they would. Robert then explained that he would have to investigate the issue. At that point they never reached back out to me except to say that i was required to pay the full amount. this company is false and needs to held accountable for it. The sales rep never contacted me aswell like their customer service rep said he would. i accept to return the product sealed like it should have been long ago. please note this company tries to grab businesses into their scam to make money. I received a call from ******, she stated that i have not purchased anything from U-Line lately. U-Line is a reputable business. She led me to believe I was dealing with U-Line. She wanted me to try a set of drill bits. When they arrived i looked inside and there was a bill for $399.90, dueable in 30 days. That is when i found out i was not dealing with U-Line. I refuse to give them any credit card or bank info. They do not want to pay for a return shipment.Business Response
