In April of 2024, I made a 1-time purchase for Manscaped products, trimmers. After my purchase, I received many texts and emails asking me to do a subscription to Manscaped, I unsubscribed from receiving additional communications, as I was not interested. This morning July 24th 2024, I received a notification from my credit card company that a transaction for $37. 96 was made for a subscription with Manscape. I did not authorize, make or complete this transaction for a future or present order. I did not receive any communication for Manscaped saying I made an order, confirming or invoice for any product. Only a charge to my card. I emailed Manscaped asking for them to refund and more importantly investigate how this happened. Concerned it maybe a scam to others.Business Response

Manscaped is still at it, charging nonconsentual fees for products unrequested. I wonder how much of their profit comes from people who simply cancel after being charged once and don't complain. A class action suit would be welcome against this company. Hi there,I hope this message finds you well. I am writing regarding a wrongful charge on my credit card by a Manscaped, which resulted in my only late payment on my credit report.In September 2022, I attempted to cancel my subscription with Manscaped. I clearly remember clicking the "Cancel Subscription" button. However, instead of canceling, Manscaped adjusted the frequency of my shipments to once every three months. Since I was using this card solely for this service, I stopped checking it after canceling the subscription, as there were no charges. Unexpectedly, after three months, Manscaped charged me for their products, resulting in a late payment.This is the first blemish on my previously perfect credit history.I have been trying to resolve this issue with Manscaped, but they refuse to help and insist that a chargeback can only be initiated by the financial institution. I have spoken to several Chase representatives, but they cannot assist since the charge dates back to 2022.Please help me rectify this situation. I dont care about the money that I spent, I just do not want the blemish on my credit history because of discharge. I am trying to buy a home and do not want to incur thousands more in interest due to this blemish on my history. I aim to remove this late payment and qualify for the best rates possible. I purchased an item from Manscaped (nose hair trimmer) with the idea that this was a single purchase. However due to a non transparent and heavily pop up related site, I was auto enrolled in a subscription program for $20 every 3 months. This program was not at all clearly explained as the website feigned as any other transaction with a simple one time purchase. For the company to blatantly attempt to extort money out of unknowing customer is ludicrous and unethical. I also suspect that this subscription is intentionally not monthly as the clients would catch on quicker. I am beyond disappointed in having to be apart of this unethical business practice for a simple transaction. ********* said subscription also required the creation of an account, which I had not done in the first place, as I was checking out as a guest. I bought a Manscaped The Lawn Mower 4.0 on Amazon on May 20, 2022, for $79.99.Starting in early 2023, sometime in January 2023, the device lost charge after an hour of use. Over the next few months until September 2023, it would stop working after less than a minute of use.I contacted Manscaped in September 2023, and they suggested that the vacation mode on the device be turned off. I followed their instructions, but the device did not charge. I reached out again, and they said that it was out of warranty and would not reimburse me even though the malfunction started within a year of purchase (Jan 2023). I believe I bought a product with a defective battery. On 01 Feb I made a one time purchase from Manscaped. On 30 Apr I was charged $19.99 for a subscription service I was not aware I had been signed up to and a parcel was delivered shortly after on 03 May. I was sent an email on 15 Apr outlining the future delivery but did not receive it as it went to spam.
