So I noticed last night the app is changing your subtotal and then it is charging you tax on the new subtotal when I tried to call corporate they told me I had to complain to the app but I can't call anyone so I sent an email to them but I believe I can't be the only one who is experiencing this so I would like for you to look into it as well because it up charged me a dollar fifty for a kids meal and that was like a 25% increase from what my total should have been with no explanation about why it changed no extra fees or anything should have been added as I was picking the order up from the drive thru and all I ordered should have been less than 6 after tax turned into almost 8 dollars for a kids meal.Business Response

Hello. I visited Jack in the box today, 3/13/2025. While waiting in the drive-thru an employee was working on the drive-thru menu. I tried to order through the intercom but nobody answered. So, I proceed to the drive-thru window and explained to the employee that I tried to order, but no one answered. The employee told me that I needed to go back around to the drive-thru and reorder or come inside the store. I asked if I can talk to the manager and she told me that "she was the manager." I parked and went inside the store. The same manager who was at the drive-thru window, was now at the register taking orders. The name on her tag said ******. She made me wait a few minutes before taking my order. I felt like this was intentional. I placed my order for two caramel. She left the register to make the coffees. I tried the ice-coffee, and it didn't taste like caramel ice coffee, but like milk and water. The fries were hard and overcooked. I asked for a refund. ******, the store manager, asked me "What's wrong with the order?" "refund...hmmm." "Why do you want a refund?" I told her "that I did not like the service or the drinks." She then told me that "If I didn't like the service that I could go to another location." She took my receipt and gave it back and told me "you can go now or go somewhere else." I was so shocked! This store manager was so rude, unprofessional and disrespectful. I asked her, "how would I receive my refund, if I didn't enter my debit card?" She said "wait a few days, that's all I can tell you." I started taking the new customer order in line. Like I said, that was my neighborhood Jack in the box and I have never, never, had a problem with any of the employees or store mangers before her. This has left a very negative impact for me and I do not plan on going to this location again. Receipt attached. Thank you for time and consideration to this matter. The sign on the building says they are 24 hours but whenever I come here they are closed. I work for door dash and I have been sent here 10 times and only picked up 2 times with the employees saying they are closed for technical maintenance every time I come here. Why is that??Business Response

Thank you for your help. As I did report it to door dash. I just found it funny that the 4 employees there made it known that "that's the door dash driver who always comes through" then started laughing like something was funny. Just like them I rely on my money as well as they do. I reached out to the ** of store who has yet to return any kind of communication to me. I always have an issue at the **********, ** location, ************************************. This time was no exception. I placed my order through their mobile app so I could go through the drive thru and pick up my food. I gave them enough time before I went up there. Well the tacos I had asked for were so greasy the grease was literally coming through the paper they were in. I ask for extra lettuce because I use to work at **** and now they have to do them from scratch instead of giving me the ones that are sitting there under the light. Well those are the ones I got and the grease went through the bag and I didn't know it until I got home and tried to walk out with the bag and the bag developed a hole where all my food dropped to the floor. My burger and fries were all over the floor I just threw them away and bought something else. I really don't appreciate **** letting all that grease go through that bag. I understand that they are busy but if they would have done what I asked it is possible I wouldn't have written this complaint. Also none of the tacos had extra lettuce and no sauces that I had asked for was in the bag. Thanks for your time.Business Response

03/02/2025 $35.85 (2x)I ordered through the mobile app, and attempted to place the order for delivery. It wasn't successful and so I transferred more money to my account (thinking the problem was due to lack of funds) after attempting to make the order for delivery again, once again it said unable to process... Shortly after while checking bank activity I saw that these were reflecting on my account both attempts were successfully denied from my account which in total is about $71 or so.. I called the store and they had no order for me and after many attempts of emailing I got a response saying they no record of charges.. here I am a week later with these transactions still pending on my account. I have no idea what to do because clearly theonry was debited and states jack in the box merchant They are terrible in providing feedback and assisting with any issues that arise. They take peoples *****, ***'t fulfill orders . And you don't get a response to concerns this is robbery and terrible just terrible service I want my money backBusiness Response

I would like a phone call back to discuss the details of our experience. There have been two in the last week with the same employee. Yelling, berating, refusing to fix our order when we got home missing an item. The employee blaize was absolutely awful. We both manage restaurants/bars and understand the business, what a business can do and their limitations. How we were treated was unbelievable and unacceptable. Hello I have sent multiple emails about a refund for an online purchase that I never received. Ive sent 4 emails since the date of purchase which was on March 1st.
