Horrible experience, I was forced to pay for another 4dx test because the vet who saw my dogs in March wrote the wrong prescription for a 70lb GSD. Her weight was right on the script but she prescribed heartguard for 26 to 50lbs. Since they don't give you written documentation it was electronically sent to the vendor I obtain the medication from. 1st fill no issues with the mistake 2nd fill has been a nightmare. I was told by 3 supervisors to go to the clinic and the vet there would correct the mistake WRONG AGAIN. I was forced to pay for another test on July 29th just to get a new RX that they are refusing to allow to be filled thru the vendor I use. I also received my visit summary and see I was charged for a test that was NOT done on my 2nd dog. I am looking to file a complaint with my state now as this is criminal and fraud. If I don't get the prescription released by end of day tomorrow 5 Business Days AFTER the visit which is the window I was told it could take I will also dispute the charged with my bank and contact authorities to file a criminal fraud complaint. I called customer service this afternoon and asked to speak to a supervisor I was told one would call me right back, its been more than 4 hours and no call back. I AM DONE! Took my dog to get a rabies vaccine on 07/29/23 @ 2:30 p.m. Angela at the welcome podium offered me several other services which I declined. I told her: Just the Rabies shot ! She tells me the cost will be $27. dollars. The So called Vet, Yasmine took my dog and told me to relax and shop a little while she took care of my dog. Telling me I'm not allowed in the treatment room. ???I gave the vet our dogs vet records from our regular vet. She laid them on a stool. I walked away about ten feet and felt something was wrong. Why would I go shop around when I was only waiting for them to give her the vaccine. I walked back to the room and saw them squirting a yellow fluid into Molly's mouth and the had a syringe injected into her leg. I asked them what they were doing, I only wanted a rabies vaccine. The Vet yelled over to Angela the girl/woman who greets you and check you in and asked; Angela , why did you put a Check Mark in the box that says: Full Plan ? Angela yells back that she didn't put the check mark there. The vet reprimands her saying: Angela! I've got the documents right in front of my eyes. The Vet then assures me I won't be charged for the extras. My poor dog is heaving from the meds squirted down her throat. She's scrambling to leave from her fear of them. The vet hands me a piece of paper that is just scrap paper and tells me to take it to the register. I insert my card and grab the receipt to rush out the door because my dog is trying to relieve herself at the register. I get home, look at the emailed receipt and $27. quoted was $126.99 . The manager at Petco said, Angela the Check-in person had pulled this same scam on several people but no matter how much he complains to VETCO, THEY WILL NOT DO ANYTHING BECAUSE SHE BRINGS IN TO MUCH MONEY. Went to vetco on May 20th to get my dog's heartworm prescription. It is now July 31st and they still won't confirm the prescription with other pharmacies I've tried ordering from. I've called numerous times and they tell me they'll "escalate" the issue, but nothing happens. Then they give excuses that it's their "busiest season". That's BS. It shouldn't take TWO MONTHS to get a prescription for my dog who is now OUT OF MEDS. I've never had issues with the in person services at a Vetco Clinic. Everyone is always professional and nice. But because of these issues, I no longer wish to use Vetco Clinics ever again.Vetco Clinics

I discovered vital premier a few months ago and thought it was a great program and raved about it to my friends. I always talked about how good this program was and tried to convince them to go on it because it basically paid for itself and the good rewards. It wasn’t until today that I realized that Petco lacks customer service and the pharmacy is clearly very incompetent and loves to make peoples lives difficult. I HAVE a prescription for 6 month supply of simparica for my golden. I ONLY want to order 1 month supply because I am not ready or want to give 200 for 6 months when I can just pay 30 for the one month. I was told that they have to contact the vet to get this approved first and that the vet isn’t answering so my order may get cancelled. After telling them MULTIPLE times that my dog goes to the VETCO clinic hey finally are able to comprehend what I am saying. Please explain to me how it makes sense that you’re willing to give me a 6 month supply versus a 1 month supply of the same medication? I understand if it was different meds but it’s the SAME!!!!! How are you not able to get a hold of the vet who works for your company? How unprofessional and negligent does that sound? I contacted chewy and even they agree that it is so dumb that the pharmacy wont fill my order just because I want a slower supply. I will be cancelling my membership and buying my stuff elsewhere like chewy as well as not recommending you to anyone that I meet. I rather take my dog to an ACTUAL vet that I can get a hold of if I need something or have questions.Vetco Clinics

When placing an order for a prescription, please ensure that you are selecting Vetco Clinics as your provider. This could result in the order being cancelled. It is known that pharmacies send an automated email stating that they are in the process of contacting the veterinarian to approve the prescription. We ask that you please allow a 3-5 day window for approvals. Some pharmacies, such as ******* do not sell single doses to be dispensed.

Vetco ********** ********. Im done. No mater what you go in for theres always an exam fee. No matter what youre getting done. As for the grooming. Were done with them too. **** is the rudest and shortest employee ever. Why even come to work when its obvious you dont want to be there and you hate your job. To be fair her work is good. But not worth feeling like your a hassle for coming in for their services.Vetco Clinics

They wont approve prescriptions unless you buy from their pharmacy where the price is 50% higher. Refuse to send a walking script. Its illegal in ********** but nobody is holding them accountable.Vetco Clinics

Got my dog vaccinated at a Petco/Vetco clinic & they forgot to give him the rabies tag. Called customer service who read me a script about going to my county instead of the rectifying the situation & giving me the rabies tag I paid for as part of his vaccination & visit. Told me tags were complimentary but that I didn’t get one. Refused to help me get tag from Vetco & hung up on me. Called back, different person, read same script but requested a call from her supervisor. Worst customer service experience!!!!! Did not receive what I paid for!!!!Vetco Clinics

Rabies tags are something that our **************** Call ********************** is unable to assist with. We advise the guest to contact the Store/clinic Team directly. I scheduled an appointment with Vetco for a canine influenza immunization weeks in advance for Sunday July 9, 2023 at 10:20am I was the 3rd person in the store at Petco at ******************************************************************************** I am next in line for check-in but the lady for check-in gets to me and then tells me to go wait by the fish tanks and proceeds to check-in everyone around me. Im waiting patiently but now its 11:14am she then addresses me and asks whats your pets name. I give the name and let her know it was a 10:20am appointment and you checked in everyone around me. She says Ill take you next Im sorry. He gets weighed and then she ask me to review the information to make sure everything is correct. She then asks what are you here for which is in the comment section when booking, I advised I am here for a canine influenza immunization. She proceeds to tell me they do not have it in stock after I waited an hour. She shouldve made announcement that if you are waiting here for an influenza shot, we do not have any influenza shots in stock or send an email stating your appointment is canceled because the immunization is NOT in stock. Very unprofessional. My vet was booked and I needed an updated immunization for dog boarding for an upcoming trip! ****** learned! Never again wasted 2 hours of my life and my pit bull was calm and sat patiently while everybodys canine acted like fools. So proud of Blue. He received extra treats for his pleasant behavior!!Vetco Clinics

BASICALLY makes your dog sicker to bring them back for more costs. We went for a flea medicine. I was told she needed all her shots. As they lectured all the bad things that can happen if she doesn’t get them That day. Got them. $400 almost. Where she was giving her shots within days one formed a knot / lump. Called in , I then couldn’t even speak to a vet. The worker on phone told me I’d have to pay a separate visit to see what’s wrong. And that with some vaccines it causes lumps that she’ll have to remove again something I’d have to pay for. Why wasn’t this made clear before she got the shots there were risks ? I feel like they played this game to get me to have to come spend more on something that happened with their care. ASKED TO SPEAK W A MANAGER AND WAS TOLD there wouldn’t be one in till Wednesday or Thursday… todays Sunday morning. How ? Got anal glands expressed still having problems….the very same and next day Just basically took my money and now my dog is still at square 1 with more problems. Update. I waited days for a manager to call , no one called. So I called them. First time I got hung up on after waiting. Waited again for a front desk person to tell me she’s not available shes on another call. I seriously hate that I trusted these people with my dog. On top of it all they’re expensive as can be. Once you spend that money. They don’t care and everything after is on you. It’s sad. Do it for the animals, if anything. Don’t put them in worse predicaments then decline help after someone just supported this business but a few days prior. Gut wrenching to know these are the big companies we support everyday.Vetco Clinics

Visited the website and scheduled a Rabies vaccine for my 14 week old puppy. The website stated that puppies can be vaccinated as young as 12 weeks and varies by state. The state of ******** - the location of my Vetco visit, allows vaccines at 12 weeks. I entered my puppies birthday and age during the registration process and received a confirmation for my appointment - no red flags because of her birthday. I drove a half an hour with a dog that has car sickness issues only to be told when I got there that they don't give Rabies vaccines until 16 weeks. No where on the website is this policy listed. Here's the irony - my puppy is a black furry poodle and is miserable in the summer heat - I made this appointment so I could meet the requirements to get her groomed. Petco will not groom a 14 week old puppy without a Rabies vaccine. Made a trip for nothing and my poor pup vomited in the car. All of this could have been avoided by plainly stating this policy on the website.Vetco Clinics
