I applied for a credit card at Wells Fargo and they approved and told me my score. This was all based on my social security number I gave them for my application, I tried to activate the card online using their QR code to scan, and it said it couldn't currently be activated online. So I called the ***** number they told me to call to fix it. I was on hold forever. finally, someone tried to activate my card and found they couldn't either. The person of phone said that in order for me to get the card activated into enroll online for banking I would need to take my social security card and other personal information and mail it back into Wells Fargo , which is, remember, the place who I gave my Social Security to in the first place to get my credit card. The *** said I would need to send that information back in and then they would have to fix it in their system in order for my cards to work for me to enroll in online banking etc. so here I am holding two Wells Fargo credit cards in my hand that I was approved for, and they have the wrong social security number in my account. how? whose social security number is it? how did this happen if I just applied for the cards and gave them my information? and why is it they cannot correct it over the phone? I don't know why, but everything tells me that this company is bullcrap, they have their c*** out of order, and there's no way I want anymore to do with them so I told the *** to cancel my card. I'm never using Wells Fargo.

I'd make this a 0 if I could. Got a credit card through a contractor to pay for the work. Tried to set it up on their app but apparently I had another decades ago when I had a different cellphone number. Because of that I can't set this up because you have to verify your identity through a text. I've spoken to several departments there and have been told they cannot add the new number or change the existing number. It's 2025! I've never worked with such a backward technilogically inept organization. Really bad experience.

Wells Fargo is the most dishonest and predatory institution Ive ever had the displeasure of interacting with. When the pandemic hit it took a devastating financial toll on me and my family. I tried for weeks to get some help or guidance of any kind from them as they were the entity where my home was mortgaged. I got NOTHING from them, no help, no information or suggestions on how to navigate through what was a very difficult time. As a result I lost my home, but they sure didnt waste any time taking legal action against a family that was suffering. Shame on them.

I am not writing to necessarily contest the declining of a credit card application, I am writing to report a total lack of transparency and dearth of knowledge regarding small businesses on the part of Wells Fargo associates. Through the process of applying for their small business credit card (that was advertised to me), it became clear that they inaccurately advertised the credit card and that their process disproportionately ***** new businesses.I opened a small business checking account at a local ********************** branch. I submitted the documents required to prove ownership. Ultimately, they rejected the application because the company is pre-revenue (as are many many early-stage companies). However, the claims included in my rejection letter state: "Unable to verify business, business phone number, and/or business ownership." Those claims are entirely illegitimate. Before receiving the letter of rejection, I was called multiple times by phone agents at ** Small Business who were entirely uninformed that all businesses start at 0. None of them understood how a small business could possibly not have a Schedule C on their tax return. Fundamentally, WF Small Business appears to only recognize businesses that have been operating for more than a year (with revenue) and this information wasn't presented upfront in the ** application. Clearly we have a verified business, business phone number, and business ownership. Were being pre-revenue to have disqualified us for a Small Business **, that should have been clear from the beginning of the ** application. We wouldn't have applied for credit. Now, my credit has been pulled twice and I have now been denied credit twice, and that has negatively impacted my credit. As a consumer, and as an early-stage business owner, I have been wronged. The worst part about their entire process is that it became clear that their playbook is to question the legitimacy of the business / the integrity of the business owner.

Wells Fargo fabricated some fraudulent activity on my business account. ************************* claimed that a one hundred and sixty six dollar physical check. The issue here is i *** have a savings account . Therefore how could I overdraft one hundred and sixty five When I had over drafted legitimately I made sure the debt was cleared. Wells Fargo continued to claim that all my checks sent to me via email and postal service were 'fraudulent without giving me a clear explanation of the reason why they rejected. After the third physical check i tried to mobile deposit into my business account. ********************** closed my account. So I had no choice but write the **** and filed a complaint with them, Which contains further detail of Wells Fargo's abuse of power.

I would give Wells Fargo 0 stars if I could. After 20+ years of being a loyal client, they allowed my mortgage to be fraudulently refinanced. They refused to do anything to help me save my home. They told me they could not provide documentation regarding my own mortgage without taking legal action. Their answer to any help they could have given me It is not our policy to do that. Apparently the only policy they have is to look the other way when their clients are being robbed. Do not trust them with something as important as your home.

Wells Fargo does not deserve any stars. Zero star is what I would rate them. The same day my son passed away, on 12/21/24, Wells Fargo authorized a $4000 transaction plus allowed tele-transfers to happened on my account. In the mist of crying, I just so happened to check my account and notice transactions that I did not make. I called the bank to put in claims on the 3 accounts that I had with Wells Fargo at the time. During this time, I had just got paid & I had a total of $4, 671 in the bank. On 12/30 Wells Fargo finally gave me a provisional credit of the $4,000 because it was some ****************** in another state mind you, I live in ********. I would also like to mention I had no money to help bury my son during this time. I have been battling Wells Fargo from 12/21/24 until March 2025 for the $671 that I did not get back. Their excuse or reasoning was that I couldn't get my money back because they didn't see a transaction for $671. I'm continuously them they are not going to see a transaction for amount. the $671 is the difference from the $4,671 that I had in the account. I also had a bank representative over the phone to verify with me the total amounts that were in the account before all the weird transactions happened which again happened a few days before Christmas. I am saying all of this to say, Wells Fargo is a THIEF, and they stole my money!!!

I would leave a ZERO star review if it would allow me. This company is beyond incompetent and the customer service is laughable. After 5 years of paying our mortgage, they decided to add a tax to pay that they were not authorized to pay. This has caused unreasonable inconviences since we have to call and do so much leg work to be told they can't do anything to fix there mistake. I will never do business with this bank for any purpose! The customer service people will even act like they can't hear you so they can drop the call. Then nobody ever calls you back. Absolute s***** customer service.
