If I could give them 0 stars I would. I have been with WF as long as I have been banking and I had some scam/fraud happen with my account and wells fargo basically washed their hands clean of me and did not help in anyway, in fact they made the entire ordeal harder for my family and I to deal with as they threatened to close our accounts and placed everything on hold. Luckily after I called and was on hold for over an hour and transferred 4 different times just to be told I was sent to the wrong department, I finally had to be rude and tell the representative that I wanted to speak to a manager. Finally they were able to help clear some things up but I was still left with no resolution as to the almost $10,000 of fraud on my account. Needless to say we switched to a credit union and will NEVER use wells fargo again and I will always be sure to spread the word on how awful of a bank this is to work with.

I filed for a credit card and for them to pay off several accounts. I received a credit limit and a statement saying what my credit limit was on the statement. Then I received two checks with an option to transfer balances. I wrote one check and shortly received two letters saying that they were not paid because my account was over the limit.I called Wells Fargo to inquire about the dilemma and was told I had 3 optionsapply for a credit increasedenied; or pay the amount I wrote the check for. I dont even know what the third was. Long story short. They denied the increase and I didnt pay the amount of the check. After repeated attempts to request this review, they said they were not in error and I should have read the contract carefully.I think if this happened to me, it has happened to many many more people and that they should NOT send those checks out to consumers until the notification of what accounts they did and did NOT pay has been completed.I said its like a scam to drag you in and make the mistake I made then end up with your credit being in jeopardy or a bad check or worseyou go over your limit on the account you wrote the check for (I didnt, but could have.)I just think that Wells Fargo practice of sending those checks is too soon and that its deceptive!

I lost my income that i was getting to an unscrupulous claims adjuster...i asked wells fargo to please not allow the automatic payments not to clear as i hadn't been able to reach them all. I was trying to get a loan to cover them but it didn't work out. They refused said for each one they cancelled or refused it would be a $31 fee. They only recently added overdraft to my account...something i didn't want...and so now ill get charged $36ish for each one. They actually moved one that was paid to pending so they could charge me for it. Unbelievable.

This Wells Fargo bank is an absolute dump of a business. If I could give zero stars this place would be exactly that for their customer treatment. My fianc ordered foreign currency for on going vacation. Being that she is on her last day on quarantine from Covid we wanted to be safe and went through the drive through so they could give her the money. At first they said that they have no option for her sign off on the form that only exist on tablet. What ever that means. Then they told us to contact customer support. And they could process the money order online and confirm over the phone. Which we did to what the customer support said that if we double mask we can get our money from the bank. Clearly no communication between two. So my fianc did go inside double masked to get her money. As a vendetta the teller told my fianc that she will call the police. So apparently Wells Fargo calls police on their customers and that they will not give my fianc money. I get that Covid makes things complicated but this is not in any way how this bank supposed to treat their customers. In addition to that couple weeks ago my fianc and I tried to open an account there. The office was empty and two bank employees were sitting together leisurely discussing personal things. You could clearly hear them talking and laughing over the whole bank. When we came in they made us sit down and wait for them to finish their chat just to let us know that we need to make an appointment to NEXT WEEK to open join account. I dont know you tell me if that appropriate customer service that being taught at school?

I had phoned customer service for my card declining and I spoke to a customer representative in-depth with also some charges that wasnt visible. The representative told me that the transaction was canceled and stated by the company I booked the room with. I then booked another room well I was charged **** and so I filed a dispute based off of what Wells Fargo representative confirmed a cancellation of my room booking. They reversed the payment but recently I see the reversed the amount back. So I now call and requested the phone recording so I can review it myself . I was told they cant get a copy its for internal use only. So as a citizen I state its might right to request the the copy because its me who is on there. The supervisor replied no! So I then asked well do I need an attorney to receive a copy of this recording he stated yes. My response was so as a citizen can you stop recording our conversation now. He replied yes under your option I can disconnect the call and/ or attempt to find someone to perform an in recorded call. They are liars and scammers . I refused for them to keep my money when it was their fault. This is pathetic. People be aware of the wrong they are doing their customers.

I move every year and missed updating my latest address on Well-Fargo. They then proceeded to close my account after asking me to update my address by sending mails to the wrong address. I received no notification on the app or in my email. I received no notification even when my account was finally closed. When I saw a $0 balance in the account, I called and asked them what was going on and was given a response involving my address not being updated. They closed my account and sent the check to the wrong address. After the first phone call, I was assured I would receive the money within ten days to the correct address. The ten-day **** comes and goes with no sign of my money. I call again and they tell me there is nothing they can do unless the check is returned. The check was never returned, and I made several calls asking them to report the check as lost and issue me a new one. Two months have passed since my initial complaint and they have just reported my check as lost. They are now telling me that I need to sign an affidavit and get it notarized to get my money. Once submitted, it will apparently take 90 days for me to get the money. Those were all my savings and I am moving this year and need the money for a security deposit. I am not sure how I am going to get by. I have been greeted throughout with condescension and a complete refusal to admit their culpability due to poor communication in all of this. They are not the only bank I have an account with, and I have never had this much of a problem with any other bank. It is the worst bank and will not keep your money safe for you. Trust is required from any institution that keeps your money, and safe to say that Wells Fargo cannot be trusted.

I have been with Wells Fargo since 2006, I just want to thank them for being my bank and always fighting for me and helping me with discrepancies against my account. I for the most part always have a first call resolution. I could never see myself changing my bank. Thank you for not just being my bank but being a part of my life.

By far the worst bank I have ever had. They lock my credit card all the time over valid purchases that I make all of the time. When you call them about it, you practically have to donate a kidney to get the card unlocked. They never have a decent answer as to why they are locking your account for purchases that you have made before. Horrible bank. Horrible customer service. Avoid like you would monkey pox.
