      If I could leave no stars, I would. I had outstanding customer service with Good Hire. Unfortunately, Checkr took over and it was, and still is, a horrible experience. I work for a tax exempt organization and was instructed in December of 2022 to send our tax exempt certificate to Checkr so it would be on file for when we started runniing background checks with them in January of this year. Despite my sending the tax exempt certificate in December as requested, and receiving confirmation that it was received, Checkr charged us sales tax. They refused to refund it and issued a credit memo instead (which I didn't realize; customer service said they were crediting my account, but they meant in a credit memo for future background checks). **************** stopped answering my emails after admitting it was their mistake in charging us tax, and STILL refused to refund the tax charged. I disputed the charges with my credit card company, but I am still being billed an outstanding balance. I will most ikely end up paying it as I have given up on ever being able to reach anyone through customer service, and you can't reach anyone by phone. I don't know how they are still in business. Shame on you!

      If i could give zero stars i would. I dont know why businesses like Checkr are allowed to stay in business. They are pathetic, incompetent, worthless as a wet noodle. They have been running my background for over three weeks. They keep extending the available date. They blame it on courts, dmv anybody but their selves. There is no way with this many ppl complaining they can say dmvs, courts fault. Thats the problem with LLC they get away with being a s***** company. I wish all places of employment would quir using them. They way they can go out of business. Which is where this company needs to be. NONEXISTENT!!!! .

      I had zero issues. It was actually my error that caused me to use support (I used a different email address for the report than for the vendor that uses them), and the submission timed out because I took too long to get my data submitted (but their system still said it submitted, which it did). I wish I could have submitted a scanned file instead of messing with a webcam, but I get why that 'live' requirement is in place... too bad my webcam focus ***** and I had to use my cell - which actually went REALLY easily since I didn't have to re-start the application (which is what I was worried about) - it was just an image interface.But I opened a support ticket because of the conflict in information (timed out, but check had already initialized) and I received two responses to inquiries, each in less than 2 hours, and my background check cleared in less than a day.Was worried it was going to be a nightmare based on other reviews, but outside of a glitch that was my own fault, it was seamless.

      This company has done nothing but drag their feet on a report that was already cleared back in December of 2022, Uber which has been the worst and now lyft won't let me drive lost income for over 3 weeks, so almost a couple thousand dollars. Checkr is absolutely terrible and I don't know why companies like uber and lyft use them but as long as they do, I will no longer support them. I've sent in required documentation asked of me showing my record clear, but they somehow still need time to review even though again my record has been clear. Uber is terrible as well.

      I've been waiting for a background check pass 3 weeks now. They keep telling me they can't get information on something and I need to wait but nothing's happening. I'm in need of starting the job but this company just don't care. I have bills to pay and mouths to feed. This is ridiculous. They are causing me time and money. Can someone please get us help !!

      This company and the people that work for it should quit because they are working for a company that clearly does not care about the people they are working for and what they are doing. I read through so many of these negative reviews and also some responses from Checkr themselves, apparently. All I see if that they are blaming their issues on laws or something. Well clearly if there is something affecting how you do your actual job, then figure out how to fix that and don't vent that to us, since it is not our fault that Checkr can't get their act together. Why is it that everyone else has to adapt, but when a company is showing such lazy and irresponsible behavior, you see how they always try to blame someone else. Well, even still, it doesn't explain why their customer service so so HORRIBLE. It's been over a month since my background check was being processed. in the beginning, I received and email stating I think they needed to have a copy of my drivers license. I sent them that information, they replied that they were back on track and processing. So far nothing, but idiotic generated responses from their support team. Telling me to log into their portal when that doesn't work, and then when I was inquiring the status again today, and was clearly upset in my emails, they said they were unable to complete the report and I need to go back to the company that initiated it! I think they are lying, because every email before stated that I should just be able to access it, they were telling me a supposed completion date, but NOW all of a sudden, there is no report because they were unable to complete it. I'm currently asking why it wasn't able to be completed, and waiting for a response. This place should be shut down and no longer be used, in my opinion.
