  With the technology in the world today I find it hard to believe that CHECKR takes more than 3 business day to process a background check. I've been driving for LYFT as my side hustle for nearly five years now. I was abruptly prevented from going online to drive because of a delayed background check. The check started on 10/23/23 and now the updated completion date shows 1/24/24. 90 days for a background check! I don't have a criminal history of any kind! I have written to CHECKR asking for an explanation and I was told the delay is due to a Cyberattack in the ****** Courts during the beginning of October. I continue to get the standard reply from ****** that says to view the status of my background check on their customer portal. The information is always the same as 'pending' and it hasn't changed. Does CHECKR have a plan in place for these types of issues? Should all companies that use CHECKR expect their checks to be delayed for the next 9 months because of a hack in one cities court system? This has affected my income because I can't drive for the extra money I need to pay bills. Maybe the BBB can get CHECKR to do something to resolve this....because they sure don't care what I have to say.

  They are horrible. I applied for a job two months ago. I got two emails letting me know it was taking longer for whatever reason. Then the emails stopped with the updates. I finally got an email saying it would be completed by 12/17/2023 yet the portal shows 12/18/2023. Today is 12/19/2023.Still nothing. Good thing I'm not homeless by now. I have contacted them numerous times just to be told some nonsense about new laws.I have never had a background check take 2 months.

  A joke. Illegal use of A.I. which is highly inaccurate. The new laws that legislation passed will force Checkr into bankruptcy.

  Once again, I am without an income based solely on misinformation provided by these scammers during the yearly background check required by my business contract. In no sane world would any company use such an organization that blatantly refuses to correct themselves. But then, we no longer live in a sane world thanks to the trumpian magats.

  I had a background check initiated a week ago that was supposed to complete on Dec 4th. Instead, I got an email saying that the new expected completion date is Jan 5th. I tried to chat with an checkr customer support a few times during the business hours, but the chat always responds, "you've reached outside of the normal business hours". I don't understand why it takes so long for the background check to complete, but it certainly pushed my start date at a new company.

  Checkr added a speeding ticket I received in high school as an unexplained misdemeanor, which kept me from employment just after graduating college. I am from a very small town so the municipality and police department who gave me the ticket (***** mph over) no longer existed and the county had no record of what checkr decided to report. There is no way to file a dispute online it seems the process has to take place by mail. It is also not transparent which credit reporting agency they use for consumer reports which stalled a dispute with the **** under the ***** Inconvenient, inefficient company who clearly has no human eyes or common sense on the reports they produce.

  This company is horribly run. I accepted a job opportunity that required a background check through them, and nearly a month later I am still waiting for them to complete it. In the meantime I have been unable to start my new job. My attempts at reaching out to them to see if there were any problems have been met with copy and paste replies "most reports complete in 3 to 7 business days" etc. How long could it possibly take to run a check on a non-existant criminal record?

  Absolutely horrible background reporting company. I had 3 jobs and multiple potential jobs I was hired for but than do to incorrect information on my background check I was unable to earn income. Literally checkr us connected to most potential or current jobs I've applied so it's really caused me embarrassment and loss of income. I made a dispute that was supposed to be amended. But still having issues and when I send proof of rehabilitation or action taken to correct or combat the negative info listed the employers don't see it or already made up their mind soon as they saw the word " consider" . It Literally blacklisted me from a whole community of jobs. They report info older than 14 years plus ago and report accidents that were not my fault and or things that were amended and shouldn't even be mentioned and they get dates wrong. It really destroys people's lives and there should be more laws in place to protect people from this. Not to mention it targets a particular group of people and doesn't provide accurate way to show what kind of human being. You can't even give additional info in the app till after u have been flagged to the employer. Seems soo Discrimitory of a practice..smh

  Checkr stated my license was suspended and it never was. ********************** also went back further than 7 years. It involved a minor traffic infraction causing me a gig with Spark, Uber Eats, or Door Dash.The good thing is that real employers don't just take Checkr's word for it. If something comes back on your background, a real employer will give you a chance to prove yourself.The bad thing is these gig jobs such as Spark, Uber Eats, and Door Dash don't care. Whatever Checkr says that's on your background is just there. No matter how inaccurate the report is, these gig jobs will just deny you with no question asked.Checkr needs to be investigated because there are too many people losing income due to their errors. Also, these gig jobs I notice really don't care. They should at least give you a chance to prove Checkr's errors on your background, but they don't.I am not going to waste time with sending Spark any more emails, because they are nonchalant, but Checkr will be hearing from me. There's no reason why you should have gone back more than 7 years or have me as suspended when I never was suspended.Look at that hunderds of reviews saying the same thing about this company. That's completely absurd, and I don't understand why no agency has looked into this.
