We want to ensure a trusted marketplace for our customers, where they can buy and sell with confidence, knowing that eBay has the policies, and processes in place to protect them. For buyers, we have the eBay Money Back Guarantee to protect customers in instances where an item does not arrive or arrives in a condition different than what was described in the original listing.
Per the eBay Money Back Guarantee,buyers are given 30 days from the day the item was delivered to let us know if there is a problem with the transaction. If we are made aware that there are issues with the order, buyers can return the product for a full refund of what was paid at checkout. Keep in mind that this timeframe cannot be extended past the 30 days that are provided. Once this timeframe has passed, transactions are no longer eligible for this protection program.
That said, in a situation where an item does not arrive by the estimated delivery date given, we ask that a buyer notify us if an item has not arrived after its estimated delivery date, by filing an item not received case, so we know there is an issue.

Once an item not received case is opened, we give the buyer and seller 3 business days to attempt to work the issue out together, prior to getting eBay involved. Should eBay be asked to step in, we will review the tracking information for proof of delivery, as we do not physically handle items being listed and sold on the site.
If tracking has not been provided, or does not indicate the item was delivered, we will close the case and issue a full refund to the buyer.However, should tracking show the item was delivered, and delivered to the correct zip code/city, we will close the case in favor of the seller and encourage the buyer to work with the seller and shipping carrier to locate the item.

We bought a rug on ebay and it was crooked. The seller said they would not pay for the shipping back even though it was very obvious. We did all the photos and documentation and ebay forced the seller to take the return and pay shipping. I feel bad for the guy but he sold us a crappy rug and modified photos on his sight. So fast forward a fee weeks and I get a text message to my phone from this seller threatening me and my life. I call the police and tell them but they said i have to take it up with ebay. Ebay REFUSED to help me. they said they would not help me because it happened off their platform. But he got my name and address off their platform and used that to somehow find my personal cell phone number! And it was about a sell on their platform! I wanted them to let the man know they had been made aware if what he had done and but him on some type of warning so that if he does do something there is a documented warning to this person. I have to admit, we have been using ebay for over 20 years. I am so shocked and surprised by how ugly they were to me about this. And i demanded to go up the chain. Even the director I spoke to was so flippant about our safety. They CAN do anything they want with their company. They actually CHOSE to do nothing for us. I sent the text messages and everything to the director. He was so rude and actually raised his voice at me. So just know they do nothing to protect your saftey.eBay Inc.

I purchased an item ************** on eBay and this did not meet our application.I returned the item to seller and under eBay guarantee to get return refund. eBay did not honor the eBay guarantee and closed the return status. Therefore, item is in seller hands, and eBay in closing the return status, allows for no refund intervention.Seller was stuck with selling fee, and I am out of $1800 item return refund.eBay has become thieves with these scenarios, and such a business conglomerate making it impossible for little guys to fight them.eBay Inc.

Here at eBay, there are two types of returns, Remorse and Not as Described. Remorse is when the buyer has made a mistake when buying the item, such as selecting the wrong size/color, or just simply doesn't want to keep the item. Not as Described would be used when there is a problem with the item, such as the item being damaged during transit or if the item were to have defects that were not described in the listing.
In a situation where a return is opened as damaged,defective, or not as described, the expectation within this timeframe would be that a return label, or a refund, partial or full, be given to the buyer. However,should the return reason indicate buyers remorse, the return will go based off the sellers return policy. This information can be found within the listing under the returns section.

My account has been hacked. After talking to a representative and getting a confirmation number that it will be resolved and being told I was not responsible for the charges EBay sent me to collections and wont do anything to help me resolve the issue of the hacked account, collections, or even closing the account. I 100% dont ever recommend using eBay or even opening an account with them! Avoid eBay at all costs.eBay Inc.

I recently purchased an antenna for my 2014 Jeep Cherokee on eBay. The buyer confirmed it would fit. I received it and guess what, it did NOT fit. Thread adapters they sent with it were all wrong. I sent it back going through eBay and they deducted the cost to ship it back from my refund. I will NEVER purchase another item through eBay.eBay Inc.

1 starI've been selling on eBay for years. They are completely taking all power away from sellers and treating the lifeblood of their business terribly. You can not get any help they put holds on my funds and restrictions on my accounts for absolutely no reason I've spoke to the customer (don't) care they even say there is no reason for the suspension of my account in the emails sent to me. It was supposed to be released in 48 hours nope. Now I have to wait 3 days for a new email that's a total of 5 days which puts me in a bad spot with buyers. EBay will not do anything to expedite this. Even after they admitted to s******* up. I've heard that people are leaving this platform and it's getting noticeable when looking for products on eBay their just not available because people are moving to new platforms. They have just become like the rest of this extremely left-thinking business making it impossible for their sellers. Ebay lets you make offers on an item about 4 times then they refuse to let you make any more offers on the item. So,I blacklist the seller and tell them why. So their stupid police not only hurts the buyer but the seller as well.eBay Inc.

1 starI purchased an item from a seller but return item because it wasnt the correct fit. I received a partial refund from sell then tried to get the rest of my money but didnt get a response from seller. I then contacted eBay and I was told they will refund me my money but after **** business days I didnt receive anything.So, I contacted eBay again and they hung the phone up on me.
