      Previously descided to stop selling due to poor practices on seller protection now I am no longer buying as well. I received an item not as described, the seller accepted my return but did not send a label. I had to have eBay step in to get a label, they put the case on hold then came back to review and said I have to return the item and to contact the seller with my personal information for them to PayPal time the money for a label. Scam, I will not be giving some shady seller my information when the seller or eBay should have given me a label to return a false item. eBay does not protect the buyer or the seller only themselves.

      As eBays goal is to provide a safe and fair marketplace for both buyers and sellers, we want our members to know that we have policies and processes in place to protect them. For buyers, we have the eBay Money Back Guarantee in place for instances where an item does not arrive or arrives in a condition different than what was described in the original listing.

      Per the eBay Money Back Guarantee,buyers are given 30 days from the day the item was delivered to let us know if there is a problem with the transaction. If we are made aware that there are issues with the order, buyers can return the product for a full refund.

      Once a return has been opened, we give the buyer and seller 3 business days to attempt to work the issue out together, before asking eBay to get involved. In a situation where return is opened as damaged, defective, or not as described, the expectation within this timeframe would be that a return label, or a refund,partial or full, be given to the buyer.

      However, if the buyer and seller reach an obstacle when trying to navigate the return, such as an eBay prepaid label not being available, we are happy to be flexible with the situation, and can place the case on a temporary hold. For this to happen, eBay would need to be notified of the issue, and we would need to be able to verify this information within our system.

      In these situations the seller is still responsible for providing their buyer with the means to return the item, whether that be manually purchase the return label or providing the buyer with the funds to purchase the label. Please understand that in situations where a buyer chooses not to comply with the options provided,and the item is not returned, we are unable to issue reimbursement for the transaction.

      There's probably a reason why most of the reviews on BBB are from sellers. eBay values buyers over sellers, despite eBay not having anything to sell without the sellers. They always talk about seller protections, but will throw you under the bus almost immediately any time a transaction is challenged. Oh, something got damaged during transit? Did you check the box on the label that eBay sold you for insurance? No? Awe, too bad so sad! God forbid you expect a company who constantly touts backing up a seller to actually back you up when you need assistance.

      Id give no stars if possible. Save your money! Sellers will **** and when you try to return an item the sellers email inbox will be full and eBay does NOT help or they make it impossible giving you a run around story or say that your 30 days are up. Ive had this happen several times and I'm officially done, canceling my eBay account. Horrible customer service.

      EBAY ***** it's sellers by not paying them money from the items that they have sold. Currently have 2k tied up because I apparently sold too much too fast.... Upon receiving this notification, they requested receipts to items that were no less than 4 years old. How am I supposed to be held to producing a 4 year old receipt? Is it eBays policy to treat each and every seller as a fraud/theft when they do decide to sell on the platform? I have used eBay for over 10 years, with many great reviews. At this point, unless I am able to provide said receipts that no longer exist I am out of my money it seems as eBay does not offer a legitimate path to receiving your money. PLEASE BE AWARE AS A SELLER THAT YOU CAN HAVE YOU DEVICES STOLEN FROM YOU VIA EBAY. At this point the easiest way to describe their actions is "thieft". DO NOT SELL ON EBAY, PERIOD.

There are tricky fraud trends where accounts trying to cause harm, sit for a period of time, even years, to try to gain trust on eBay and engage in fraudulent activity at later dates. At the time of the funds being transferred and ready for collection, sellers will receive a notification of how to reclaim the funds.

      Due to an unfortunate series of events, I lost access to the email address and phone number associated with my account. Ebay has no means to restore/change information to regain access to my account and made no effort to assist. I was able to have support call me at my new number from my account, which is logged in with browser cached creds (still can't change account settings), but even the support tech was inept. To have no means of verifying identity to restore access to my account, is poor policy at best. I guess eBay is completely ok with me not ordering any additional items from them. Even though I'm logged in with cached credentials, I will now log off and order nothing else. I thought that people ordering items from vendors on your site was how you generated your revenue, eBay?

      I am very annoyed with eBay. I sold two items a few days ago. The buyers have my merchandise. eBay is holding my funds until February the 8th almost 15 days, since the buyer received the merchandise. I am not a new seller, I have sold things before, with all good feedback. Yes I have not sold anything in a long time but that is not an excuse to hold funds. It does not take 15 days for the buyer to decide whether they are happy with the items or not. I have no negative comments as a seller so why can't eBay release the funds? I am not understanding this. eBay makes sure they get their money but they won't release the money to you after the buyer has your merchandise. When I try to call and speak to someone they just keep s telling me the same things over and over.. eBay is supposed to provide good customer service to sellers this is how you make your money. But if you are not giving good customer service, no one is going to want to sell on eBay. This is not acceptable. After this situation I will no longer put my merchandise on eBay to sell.

      Funds can be held for numerous reasons, even after verification, to encourage best-selling practices that promote successful order fulfillment. We also hold funds from transactions to mitigate loss for eBay should buyers open claims/disputes. This reduces the need to seek reimbursement from sellers or attempt to charge their payment methods, as we already have the funds on hold.

      Kindly note that we evaluate every transaction at the time of checkout, placing holds when appropriate to ensure that the transaction is completed smoothly. Should an account or the items sold change significantly,we may hold the funds until delivery confirmation to ensure that sellers maintain a good level of service with these changes. Once sellers continue to trade successfully, the chance transactions being held reduces.

      That said, there may be situations where although tracking confirms delivery, funds will continue to be held. For example, if the product is a high-priced item, we may allow the maximum time for these holds. This extra time frame allows the buyer to not just receive the item but also ensure that it is as described.

      In addition to the above, there may be times where we determine a bank account is high risk even after it has passed KYC. If there are concerns with the bank account, we will place a hold on funds and request additional verification.

That said, it may take up to 60 days if you've had any transactions, payments, claims or disputes in the previous 30 days.       With that in mind, note that there are some conditions that must be met before the account can be closed.
      All your fees and other selling costs are paid, and your available funds are at zero.
      You don't have open bids on an item.
      You don't have any pending transactions (i.e. open bids, pending payments, pending returns, payment disputes, outstanding payouts to be processed to your bank account, or a pending status).
      You've canceled all your subscriptions.

      My order (from ****** *** ****) arrived damage, in the label there was a return address is 25 minutes away from my house so I started the ruturn process and I contacted the seller to ask if I can drop in person to savd me the shipping, the seller tell me that they are in China so if I need returned I have to sent to them, but they offered me to fix the problem, after a couple messages the seller say to me they will send me a replacement, I was waiting and that never happened at this time the deadline for return or take any action was done I contact support and the do nothing using the deadline argument. Basically the sellers use this deadline rule delaying the conversation with me so they can run away from the responsibility to replacement or refund the money and Ebay allow that ****. ALSO EBAY IS DELETED THE NEGATIVE FEEDBACK, I LEAVE ONE FOR THIS SELLER AND IS NOT SHOWING IN THE SELLER FEEDBACK AND IS NOT IN MY FEEDBACK PAGE. MORE CLEAR IMPOSSIBLE, EBAY DON'T CARE CUSTOMERS. I trashed the product and I got one at ****** more expensive but in good condition and as anyone now the client in ****** is the priority not like ebay. Sad for Ebay was a good place to buy not anymore.

I keep getting told different answers--"You have to wait 60-72 days for the funds to be released"...."You have to contact your state because it went through the escheatment process". THIEVES! YOU TAKE THE FEES OUT OF OUR PAYMENT OF COURSE AND YOU'RE STILL HOLDING OUR RIGHTFULLY EARNED MONEY TO DO GOD KNOWS WHAT WITH IT! I HAVE BILLS TO PAY, I HAVE MOUTHS TO FEED AND I HAVE A BUSINESS TO RUN!! I PAY MY FEES, MY ACCOUNT HAS ALWAYS BEEN IN EXCELLENT STANDING FOR ALMOST 10 YEARS.
