Ebay ***** after 1 DAY of creating an account I had some bids I was in, and one moment I wanted to sell something as simple as a game. I put images, explained the condition it was in and eveything and for some reason moments later I try to hit the list it button it would not work, so I go back and try to do the process all over again but instead I see a message from Ebay, what kind of message? "Your account is PERMANENTLY SUSPENDED" What?? I tried contacting them 3 TIMES and all I get was the same exact message and response "sorry your profile might be a risk so we think its best to suspend your account and part ways" I thought at first it would be a live person (was even considering CALLING them) but at this point I do not want to bother anymore, there was a reason why I avoided Ebay for years, I regret trying to give it a chance. Because they couldn't give ME a chance, no warnings, no communication, just "we think you did something wrong so permanent ban" I am STILL confused what I did wrong and they can't even explain to me or give me a chance to undo my suspended accounteBay Inc.

Hello *****,
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Unfortunately, we're unable to provide account specific information from this channel, but we're happy to share details surrounding our policies.
We regret any frustration this may have caused you. Were committed to providing a secure and fair marketplace for our buyers and sellers. To support this commitment, weve put in place policies that govern our expectations of members on eBay. Therefore, we routinely review both buying and selling activity on our site and in situations which we identify concerns with a members account activity, we will take the appropriate action in accordance with our User Agreement. You can read about our policies in our help pages and review the full details of our User Agreement here: ************************************************** eBay is an internet-based business, and its members are our customers, we must carefully weigh the risk involved with allowing users on the site. From time to time, we find accounts which have a risk that no longer justifies a continuing relationship with us. In those situations, we restrict or suspend an account. 1 starI can't believe that this is how they operate now and think it's ok to take 49% of the seller's sales. Have the sellers evaluated each month as if they are criminal. If they are not liking your numbers or the way you are using their service, they will label you and inform you that you are below there standards. What era are we in? With that evaluation, they say they explain in detail why they feel that sellers are below their standards, they say more details will be in the email and it's just the same on their FAQ page. As a person that is in commerce, there is a code of conduct between both parties doing business. If a party is needing help with the understanding of the service that is being provided and it's now needing to do the customer service, which in these cases the seller has to do the now since they are evaluators and **** **** and ***** ********* now. Evaluating is not customer service at all. When someone pays a monthly fee for a service, and they are taking it gladly, they should stand by their own agreements. Also, 6% charge if you are below their standards behind the 12% final fee. Sellers ask what can be done to change the status but are still given no real help to ensure that the buyer even has a good experience. Remind you these are sellers using your service paying monthly for more listings that is agreed to be allowed but if sellers are below their standards after awhile they will then restrict sellers from placing more listings and pretty much cut excess to features that sellers need to make sure the buyer gets an experience while they are still taking the monthly fee. Sellers are having to pay for shipping even if the buyer has paid for shipping on the site. So, not sure why sellers are being extorted for being below their standards and then restricted with no service help from them to truly help sellers achieve that standard. Since chat ended my help I was needing as a seller. *Respectfully*, please do not comment with copy scripts or at all.Review fromJO G

I have attempted to re-appeal ****'s unfavorable decision regarding refunding me for some ceramic bowls three times! I've had $26 dollars and some change stolen from me! An **** seller sent my order to the WRONG ADDRESS and I have an email from my neighborhood post office's Post Master stating that this **** seller did this and showing proof of where my package was actually sent. I filed a complaint with ****, sharing this email from the Post Master, but, **** has found in favor of this fraudulent seller and will not bother to consider my evidence from USPS that this seller sent my order to the wrong place. They have allowed this seller to blatantly steal my money! This is highway robbery and **** does not care that I lost this money on their website or about justice. Be careful shopping with ****. They do not protect their customers and they are fraudulent.eBay Inc.

Hi **,
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Unfortunately, we're unable to provide account specific information from this channel, however, we're happy to share details surrounding our policies.
When a buyer purchases an item, there is an expectation set that the item will arrive by the estimated delivery that is given. That said, if the estimated delivery date has passed and the item has not been delivered, we ask that a buyer notify us by filing an item not received case.
Once an item not received case is opened, we will give the buyer and seller 3 business days to attempt to work the issue out together, prior to getting eBay involved. If eBay is asked to step in, we will review the tracking information to determine the next steps as we do not physically handle the items bought and sold on our site.
If tracking has not been provided, does not indicate delivery, or was delivered to the wrong address, a full refund will be issued to the buyer and the case will be closed. However, should tracking show the item was delivered, and delivered to the correct zip code and city, we will close the case in favor of the seller and encourage the buyer to work with the seller and shipping carrier to locate the item.
For additional help with an item that has not arrived, please see the following link: https://ebay.to/2DgV9SR
Additionally, if you have concerns with a seller, please report it to us here: https://ebay.to/2WobeR8

On January 16th, I returned a phone that I bought from a seller there.I cleaned the phone and reinstalled all the programs, and repackaged it with all items that came with it. The seller contacted contacted customer support and said that the phone wasn't returned exactly as I had received it. January 20th, I received an email saying that I did not return the phone as I received it and wouldn't be getting any refund. I did return it as I received it and have proof, but customer service has closed my case without even hearing from me. I want the money back that I spent.eBay Inc.

Hello ******,
Thank you for the opportunity to address your BBB review. We understand you have experienced an unfavorable transaction and return with your seller. Unfortunately, I'm unable to verify your information through this channel and as such, cannot provide account specifics. However, I'm happy to share general information regarding this policy.
To begin, we want to thank you for your time as a valued member of our eBay platform. From the context in your complaint, it sounds like your recent eBay experience does not meet your expectations. As a company that strives to provide exceptional service, firsthand accounts such as yours help us to identify areas of opportunity within the business. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We value your feedback and will review it for opportunities to improve.
Based on the context in your review, it seems you have recently requested an "Item Not as Described" case, claiming the item did not show up as advertised. While situations like this are rare, they are still extremely disappointing to experience.
Per the eBay Money Back Guarantee, buyers are given 30 days from the estimated delivery date to notify us if there is a problem with the item. However, if the buyer states there are problems in alignment with our Guarantee, a seller's return policy will be superseded, and they can return the product for a full refund of what was paid upon checkout. Once the buyer opens an eBay Money Back request, sellers are given 3 business days to come to a resolution with the buyer. Should no action be taken, the buyer can then ask eBay to step in to make a decision. From such point, we will review all transaction and case details and decide for a closure for one party, place a hold for further investigation, or process a neutral closure.
You can learn more about our eBay Money Back Guarantee at the link listed below: http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/money-back-guarantee.html

Salvage or rebuilt Title
Be careful when buying a car or truck that has a rebuilt or salvage title. I have purchased 5 with no problems and on the 6th I had no heat or air, faulty emission system, missing lugnuts. The mileage was noted as 6100 but has 7400 .It was a complete scam. The seller would not take care of anything so I left a review listing these problems. **** removed my review and stated (I have this in writing) they can say anything they want and you are resposible to have it inspected before the bid. They can commit fraud with no recourse from ****. Remember I have this in writing and it cost me money. It was apparent that this seller has done it before. **** needs to disclose this so other people won't fall in this trap
This was on a 2021 Ford F150 with 7400 miles. $42500.00eBay Inc.

Hello ******,

From the context in your complaint, it sounds like your recent eBay experience does not meet your expectations. As a company that strives to provide exceptional service, firsthand accounts such as yours help us to identify areas of opportunity within the business. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We value your feedback and will review it for opportunities to improve.
Based on the context in your review, it seems you purchased a vehicle that ended up being not as described. While situations like this are rare, they are still extremely disappointing to experience.
When it comes to purchasing vehicles on eBay, our Vehicle Purchase Protection provides protection at no additional cost for certain losses associated with fraud, such as non-delivery of the vehicle, undisclosed title defects, and certain undisclosed vehicle defects. Together with eBay, an independent service provider will determine whether you have suffered a loss that is reimbursable by the VPP program and the reimbursement amount. VPP is not an insurance policy, a warranty, or a solution for buyer's remorse. You should perform appropriate due diligence when considering the purchase of any vehicle.

I purchased an item via ****. (XX-XXXXX-XXXXX) The shipping has been poor. I reviewed the business with a negative review about the shipping. The seller disagreed and simply contacted **** to have my review eliminated. The review system at **** basically allows seller to deceptively advertise their performance. When it comes to leaving feedback on eBay, any misuse of is not allowed. Feedback comments should match the positive or negative rating that was given in both buyer and seller feedback. For example, a negative comment should not be left with a positive rating. Follow-up or reply comments must also match the rating, and can't be used to change a rating.
Feedback should only be related to the transaction. We don't allow:

Hello ******,
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Unfortunately, from this channel we can't provide account specific information, but we are happy to share details surrounding our policies.
We understand how upsetting that can be when a package does not arrive as expected. Especially if tracking shows the item should have arrived. EBay has developed our eBay Money Back Guarantee to help with situations just like the one that you described.
You have up to 30 calendar days after the estimated delivery date has passed to report that an item hasn't arrived. by reporting that the item has not arrived, you are letting both eBay and the seller know you are having an issue with the purchase. The seller should respond within 3 business days to provide a delivery update, offer a replacement, or give you a refund. If you're getting a refund, it will go back to your original payment method. Refunds are typically available within 3-5 business days.
Below I will provide steps with how to report an item that hasn't arrived through My eBay.
1. Go to your Purchases and find the item.
2. Select More actions beside the item and then I didn't receive it.
3. Check the box beside I'd like a refund or I'd still like the item.
4. Enter any additional information.
5. Select Send request.
If you have additional questions, we encourage you to contact our customer support. Once in contact with them, they can talk you through the process and let you know what options that you may have.
We have updated our contact options to online chat and callback request available at the link below. We have found that callbacks are superior in alleviating long holds and ensure that your calls are properly routed to the right team for a quicker resolution. That said, you can reach our Customer Support teams via chat, email, or callback request by following the Help & Contact page linked below. On the below page, scroll to the bottom and click the "contact us" button for more assistance.

I would like to understand from **** what is exactly their Safety and Trust Policy? what's the objective? and how the make this decision on someone?
I have open an account as Buyer on January 9th 2023 because I wanted to buy flexible monitor arms for my home office. Less than an hour my account was "permanently restricted" due to large suspicious activities that posses a risk to the **** Community, seriously? within less than 60 minutes of opening the account? I spent more time searching for an item I need and creating the account for you to flag me? on the Bases of What? Not only they flagged me but they set me up as SELLER!
I've had intermittently going back and forth via email with "customer rep" only and non-transparently limiting to respond that due to their policies they cannot disclose how and what was so suspicious that they restricted me permanently. **** *** own their murky policies and processes, but I owned my name and credibility, and as such I need to be disclosed what was that I did wrong in less than 60 minutes for them to flag me and permanently restrict me from using ****.
Finally, I wanted to close this short lived account, and because I was restricted they needed me to contact them to provide them a reason as to why I would like to close my account - then I would like for **** to tell me why am I obligated to inform them why I want to close the account when they banned me in the first place.eBay Inc.

Hi ****,
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Unfortunately, we're unable to provide account specific information from this channel, but we're happy to share details surrounding our policies.
Periodically we will review members' accounts for additional verification prior to initial listing activity. During this review, we will look over many different variables in an attempt to remove fraud on the site, prevent loss for us and our members, and keep eBay a safe trading environment. Note that we do consider a member's full history when making the decision to restrict or suspend an account and are sure to review several aspects such as the account's registration information, reports we may have received, member to member messages, and any transactions on the account.
Should we find that an account displays certain patterns or behaviors that pose a risk to eBay, we may choose to restrict or suspend the account. This information is laid out in our User Agreement under the section "Using eBay."
For your convenience, we have provided a link to our User Agreement below:
http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/user-agreement.html
Although we recognize that members may like more specific information regarding restrictions/suspensions, please understand that we are unable to fulfill this request, as we do not provide specific details on what behaviors we have found to be a risk to our site. The reason being we have found that by providing this information it may provide ways for members to potentially circumvent our review process in the future.
Lastly, we understand that due to this experience, you would like to close your eBay account. Please remember that once you close your account, you won't be able to reopen it. There are some conditions that must be met before you can close your account. Should you require any assistance with the closure process, please contact Customer Support for assistance.

**** is scam and not to be trusted. They weren't like this before but they changed. I recently graduated from school and decided to sell my books on ****. I got an offer for one of my books $65 plus $10 shipping in total $75 plus they charge the buyer taxes so in total $81 and something. When the buyer accepted the offer and the order was placed I immediately shipped the book off within 2 hrs. The total cost of the shipping with materials (the box I bought from post office) was $17 because it was a big hardcover book. I put the tracking number in **** and I was told I'm only will be $58 in 3 WEEKS. I was furious and so many questions. Why are they holding on to my money and why am I getting paid so little if the buyer paid $75. I couldn't get a hold of ANYONE to make a complaint they made it where you can't speak to a person and the help website they keep directing me to is useless. I was told on the app which I will be deleting that I get a certain amount of free selling fees I won't get charge for selling items. They took almost half of my money and I didn't get my $10 the buyer paid for shipping. I paid for shipping out of my own pocket thinking I would get a refund from what the buyer paid the $10 shipping WRONG!!! I got paid $58 and subtracting the fees I paid for shipping $41 from $81 they charged the buyer. It's my item the buyer paid for how **** have the right to take so much money, took the shipping fee and hold on to my money for 3 weeks. That's horrible they literally robbed me. I would never use them again!!eBay Inc.

Hello ******,
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Unfortunately, we're unable to provide account specific information from this channel, but we're happy to share details surrounding our policies.
First and foremost, congratulations on your recent graduation. We appreciate you choosing eBay to sell your items and regret any confusion or frustration you experienced with our fees and selling. As you're aware eBay is now managing payments for all sellers on the site. This enhances the buying and selling experience on eBay by providing sellers with one platform to sell and get paid while also giving buyers more ways to pay. When selling on eBay, we charge two main fees: an insertion fee (when an item is listed) and final value fee (when an item is sold). The selling promotion you referenced applies to the insertion fee only. Other fees may apply if a seller chooses to use optional listing upgrades to enhance their listing(s). The fees themselves depend on the type of listing created and the category it's sold in. To learn all about the fees for listing and selling on eBay, see our Selling fees page here: https://ebay.to/38gjFsT. We hold funds for numerous reasons, primarily for new sellers, to encourage best-selling practices and for them to successfully complete their orders. We hold funds from transactions to mitigate loss for eBay should buyers open claims/disputes. This reduces the need to seek reimbursement from sellers or attempt to charge their payment methods, as we already have the funds on hold. Additionally, eBay must adhere to certain legal and compliance obligations outlined in our Payments terms of use, which require us to hold funds in certain circumstances. We always try to be transparent when we may hold a seller's funds. For easy access, we've included a link to our Payments Terms of Use here: https://pages.ebay.com/payment/2.0/terms.html. You'll find further information on Payments on hold here: https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/getting-paid/getting-paid-items-youve-sold/payments-hold-managed-payments-seller?id=4816. We regret that you had a hard time contacting us. In the future, you can reach us via live chat, email, or by requesting a call back through the Help & Contact link located at the top of most eBay pages.
While we're unable to share account specific details regarding your experience on this channel, we appreciate that you have taken the time to give us feedback.
