Yahoo has locked me out of my account for the third time now, while refusing to allow me back access without providing all of the personal details about my life including my drivers license and credit card number . I am currently locked out of a business account that requires immediate action but the recovery email has been locked by yahoo. I have the password which I know is correct as I save it to my apple keychain and write it down. Ive called yahoo four days in a row to resolve this issue and all I keep getting is the same script from the same 4 people. I have now submitted full scans of my state-issued drivers license four times only to be told that the system wont verify it. *** asked to speak to supervisors only to be told that they all do the same thing and no one will be able to help me, but to keep calling back and submitting my ID. When I tell them Ive done this multiple times and that Im locked out due to their part, and I have not forgotten my password or deactivated the account they say its the system so the system can block my password, lock me out of my account, and force me to submit the personal details of my life but wont reopen the same account with my permission. If I do not access this account I will lose $40,000 and my masters degree, all because no one at yahoo will remove the block that they put on there. I am frustrated and disappointed and I would like to take legal action for my losses in addition to the emotional distress that this causing me.

Yahoo! is blocking ** from sending emails to our mutual customers. Our customers are complaining that they are not receiving the voicemails sent from our server of ************************* that contain attached audio files. It seems the problem recently started (within the past few days) and is continuing. We are unable to get in contact with anyone at the company and customers are not happy. For example, ********************* at this email address is not getting our audio attached voicemails: ***************************************** They are coming from ************************* Please advise on how our customers can receive their requested emails. We solely offer a subscription based service, and do not add anyone to any email list. These emails are ONLY for customers; therefore, spam is not an issue at all. This is not the first time Yahoo! decided to block our emails, so I hope that we can have a system-wide clearance to ensure delivery of all emails to Yahoo! customers.

      Complaint: 20011169

I am rejecting this response because: The business sent and email and details were provided, and they did not respond for several days and then asked for the same information against because the older data expired, so it is going in circles because they are not acting upon the report in a timely manner and their records keep expiring. They should escalate to their management. This is bad business practices, and it will be endless if we keep doing this.

I have been locked out of my email for 3 weeks and have only been given varying incorrect information about when this will be fixed. They told me that approx ****** customers have been affected by a hack and they locked us out purposefully to avoid compromising more information. My sister was also locked out of her email last year for a month. In this online world, it's unacceptable to be locked out of your email for this amount of time. Email is incredibly important to my everyday life and it has effected me to the point that my bank was overdrafted because I'm not getting my emails about when money is going to be taken out of my account. The customer service process has been ridiculous with them asking me over and over about what's happened and telling me to fill out a form multiple times. I'm going to start moving all emails to Gmail but I've had my Yahoo **** email account for at least 20 years so I have basically everything sent there.

I subscribe to Yahoo Mail. I receive emails from several ********* and Conservative organizations. The email addresses are all in my Yahoo Mail Contact list. Every time I receive an from one of these organizations, Yahoo puts a pink rectangle at the top of the email telling me they think it's spam and asking if I want to **** the sender as spam. There's also a small box where I can click "It's safe" but that doesn't **** this sender as safe, so the ext email I receive from, for example, Senator *****************, will have the same pink banner. I believe this is an attempt on Yahoo's part to dissuade me from subscribing to ********* or conservative newsletters and alerts. I consider this harassment. I have called Senator ****'s office and a few of the other organizations as well letting them know what's happening. They were not happy when I showed them. There is no reason why Yahoo Mail cannot provide a way for me to silence this harassing pink banner. They can let me create a "white list" of addresses that aren't subject to this. They can let the "It's safe" button apply a flag on the sender's contact info that suppresses the harassing message permanently. Or they can just stop doing this altogether. I've attached two of many examples for reference. They are relying on some kind of third party spam list to do this, and it's being fed by notoriously left-wing hate groups like the Southern ******************* that label any ********* or conservative organization a hate group. This nonsense has to stop.

Dear Better Business Bureau,I am writing to file a formal complaint against Yahoo! Inc. for their unsatisfactory handling of customer support, specifically related to issues concerning account access and data breaches.I have been using Yahoo Mail for several years and recently encountered an issue with my account. Despite entering the correct password, I was unable to log in to my email. I reached out to Yahoo's customer support to resolve the issue and was informed that I would need to pay for "specialty support" to regain access to my account. I find this practice exploitative and unethical, as it places an undue financial burden on users who are experiencing technical difficulties that *** not be of their own making.Furthermore, Yahoo has a history of significant data breaches that have compromised the personal information of millions of users, including my own account. As a result, it seems particularly egregious that Yahoo is now attempting to charge me for assistance in resolving an issue that *** have been caused by their own negligence in protecting my data.In light of these concerns, I request that the Better Business Bureau investigate Yahoo! Inc.'s business practices and take appropriate action to ensure that the company is held accountable for their treatment of customers. Moreover, I ask that Yahoo be required to provide adequate support to users who experience technical difficulties, without imposing additional costs on them, particularly when the company's own actions or failures *** have contributed to the problem.

My complaint involves Yahoo's inability to stem the influx of spam that many account holders are experiencing. The following Yahoo link, ********************************************************, states that spam attacks may typically last a week. Not so. Mine began close to a year ago and the issue is only getting worse. Filters do not work and many of the offensive and spoof emails are landing in my inbox instead of joining the hundreds in my spam folder. Additionally, blocking is limited to one thousand addresses. This is unacceptable. Who do I need to contact to fix the problem?************************************************************************************************************************

In 2017 I had an issue with them in which two years of my sent emails were suddenly deleted from my account. I called and emailed them about it and they were able to restore the emails. Then two years later the same thing happened. But this time I received a call from them asking if I had deleted two years worth of sent emails and I said no. They restored the emails. Then in 2022 the same thing happened again. The emails were deleted but I did not get a call. This time they did not restore the emails. Now in March of 2023, my emails since November have been deleted. I honestly suspect it is one of their employees/former employees doing this. I think Yahoo is either covering for whose doing this, or they don't have the proper security systems in place to prevent this. Secondly, it is so odd to have two years of your sent emails deleted at one time. I think that after they called me the second time, they clearly had a way of tracking it when it occurred. So now I don't understand why they can't restore the emails this time. Also I think that since they have been made aware of this five years ago, they had an obligation to strengthen their security or install like a notification when large amounts of emails are deleted. I really need those emails back

Yahoo clearly states that you an account may be reactivated within 7days of deactivation. As with other competitors, clients are advised they can sign in with the same user name and password. My phone was lost, so after carefully reviewing YAHOO terms and conditions, I deactivated the account for safety. Of note-I did NOT get my phone back, as it was lost during travel.Upon returning home within 3 days, yahoo would NOT activate the account. As you know, ********************** asks that you give a backup email incase of forgotten passwords etc, so they advised me to sign into that backup email and receive a code. HOWEVER, yahoo would NOT send a code.Upon contacting their customer service, the ******************** rep stated I needed to give the email addresses of the last 7 people along with the corresponding subject lines...AND the names of personal folders in the account.YAHOO was contacted several times, they refused to send a code to the backup email, were clearly communicating with me, would NOT restore my account despite my having the correct username and password and are violating their OWN terms of conditions, as well as my rights as a user. Moreover, they are clearly going into my emails and reading them if they want the last 7 email addresses ( not names, but addresses) along with their corresponding subject lines.Yahoo is demonstrating a lack of integrity, a violation of their own terms and conditions, and a violation of my privacy rights under the guise of security when in actuality if they did what was written in terms, there would be no need.
