      Yahoo has a security vulnerability in their email account settings and refuse to address and correct the issue. Any unauthorized person can easily create a security key and access email accounts without a password. Since this is not a feature that the account owner can disable or there is no option for 2 factor authentication, this creates a huge security hole on Yahoo email accounts. I had to migrate any sensitive information to a more fail safe account. This issue continues to happen and many users have posted this problem in Yahoo forums.

      Better Business Bureau:

      Yahoo has shared that my account is with one of their partners, which is AT&T. In other words, Yahoo manages the email actions, but AT&T manages the account actions, which includes logins, security features, and verification information for those accounts. Yahoo instructed me that I need to contact AT&T as they have no control over them, which is slightly confusing since they are Yahoo's partner.

      With Yahoo, they claim their security key can be disabled.  This is not the case with their partner AT&T. Yahoo does support and encourages the use of 2 Step Verification, which is not the case with AT&T.

      I have reviewed the response made by Yahoo in reference to complaint ID ********.  Since Yahoo has indicated that they have no control over their partner accounts at AT&T, I will close this issue with Yahoo and file a complaint against AT&T.

      04/07/2023 Tried to access my email and was blocked by them. Due to no contact with the outside world I am now having frequent panic attacks and I am extremely anxious. I want them to fix this before I have more panic attacks. They say about using their help line but not everyone can afford it.

      Yahoo account got hacked, but customer support is covered by a paywall and in order to pay for the customer support you have to log in. I can't log in and I can't contact anyone to help me get me email back. My email address was ***************************************

      When ever I log into one of my yahoo email accounts from my cell phone a ad display pops up and it reads, "For faster personalized mailbox." And you can choose either a yahoo email app or a chrome selection. I am sick of looking at this pop up ad when I log onto my account. I will never choose yahoo app. If your phone is lost or stolen. Anyone can log into your email account through yahoo email app. I like this pop ad deactivated. Everyone knows about yahoo app. It's common sense. I cannot proceed to log into my yahoo email without seeing this pop ad and it's beyond annoying.

      THIS IS FOR YAHOO PLUS MOBILE INSURANCE.Yahoo Plus has taken my money for the service fee when I made a claim for my phone on March 16th, 2023. After they have received the service fee, they went and scheduled the date and time (between 9:00 AM-11:00 AM). An hour before 11:00 AM, received a text that my appointment has been canceled. I called them, They re-scheduled another day, then canceled 2nd times. Got re-scheduled, they canceled 3rd times, and 4th appointment, canceled again. I had to take off work during those times for them to come and they kept canceling. I made the last call, March 27th, and I was told that someone call me 3 days later. As of today 04/05/2023, no calls, no emails from them. I'm still paying for the monthly fee as well.

      I am continuously getting these pornographic, vulgar, tons of marketing email in my account? I have not signed up ads, promotions, social media's and they are coming in my inbox as fast as I can filter them. There is NO block contact at all. I sat down and had to filter over 200+ emails one by one to filter to the trash, and they keep coming. I think someone there at yahoo is selling the emails for profit. I am SICK of them. There are so much **** that is offensive just by the title. The only way you can filter is by opening up the bull c*** only for them to come right back. The filters are a joke. Now my yahoo is not giving me the option to filter them, all I can do is delete. I am beyond frustrated with this every minute, every freakish second. Who is monitoring this stuff? Someone there ay Yahoo is selling our emails. A friend told me she is having the same problem. Now that I went and filtered them one by one, the filter option is all the sudden not listed. I even changed my password, made it difficult and strong, that did not work either. I am offended, I am stressed and more than ever frustrated. I am going to report you all to the authorities as to me this is complete harassments. Not to mention vulgar.No blocking contact option is available. I filtered msgs one by one, they come right back or even more. I do not do surveys, sweepstakes, games, downloads, etc., so why am I getting these? Why do I have to press unsubscribe when I never subscribed? How is all these **** emails coming to me, when i have never been on an adult website in my life. I am a woman of God and very, very offended to keep getting these and Yahoo is doing nothing. Filtering the emails are a joke, they come right back. Now that feature is gone but just a waste of time. I feel like I am being harrassed by Yahoo. Someone is selling our email addresses.

      I have been trying to access an old email account from 2015 with the correct login info and password, along with the phone number linked to it. However, I no longer have access to that number and the only options for me to recover my Yahoo! account is by choosing to receive a code from a call or text from them in order to gain access, that is it. This is a flawed and not well-thought out decision for Yahoo! to have considered beforehand if one no longer has access to this method. The only further options they offer is premium customer care to call and even that is useless as you have to pay in order to potentially gain access to your email. However...even paying the subscription for customer care is atrocious as they will just lead back to sending recovery options back to the original phone number linked to your account and only leads to a circle of headaches. Their help section about this is pointless as well since it advises you to call support care which is the same thing...you need to pay for it. Completely unacceptable and shameful. I need my email account back!

      Trying to recover my yahoo email account. I don't have access to the recovery email as it was deactivated. I have the correct username and password so I don't understand why not being able to access the recovery email means I am completely locked out. I called their paid customer service and they said I should be able to verify the account online because they couldn't help over the phone. When I try to do it online, it just tells me to call them. They are so unhelpful and the biggest issue is that I have the correct username and password, they just randomly flagged my account for a short period of inactivity or use of vpn. They should be able to verify me. Please help me get access to my account. Thank you.

      On Tuesday, March 21st, 2023, I called Yahoo! customer service, because I was alerted via the email in question ************************************** that someone had logged into one of my other accounts through a different service in New York City. I denied the request. Shortly after this, I was logged out of my account and the password was no longer valid. After explaining the situation to the call center, I was met with apathy and was told to "try to call back in a week". I told them this was unacceptable, as it is my primary email address and one I use for business. Then, the agent had me try to take a picture of my ID, which wasn't working, because of a system error on their end. After this, I told him I was going to wait on the line until I spoke to a supervisor. He gave me the same run-around I've seen all over these complaints about not having anyone available (I used to work for ******* Wireless's customer service; I know all the tricks). When I did finally get a hold of a supervisor, he was very rude, then proceeded to put me on mute to pretend like the connection was lost (for the recording in-process), which it wasn't (again, more call center tricks to get people off the phone). In truth, I just want that email address terminated, because it's more worry than worth. You'd think a multibillion dollar company like Yahoo! could put out adequate support for their product. Now, anyone can read through these claims and see that I am far from the only one with these particular complaints. I do not have any faith that this issue will be resolved either.

      I purchased a new phone and can't get email. I have used Yahoo email since the 90's. I have spent hours with ATT to resolve the issue and they said the problem is Yahoo. I tried to contact yahoo and when I get a phone number to call I get someone who wants my credit card number. I told this to ATT and they said they won't give me any contact info on yahoo because of this problem and they don't want to send me somewhere where they will try to sell me something. All I want is yahoo to update their information so I can receive my emails on my phone. I can get emails on my computer but I should be able to get them on my phone also.
