The business/organization (Eastern Nebraska Western Iowa Car Council) hosts their data on yahoo servers. There is a file under the domain enwicc.com with my phone number. I am experiencing phone calls from people as a result that I do not know. This is very annoying. The file is 8 years old and this action has just started to happen in the last 3 months. Contacting this business ENWICC, the responsible person said they are unable to help me because they do not have access to the file. The URL is: ****************************************
I find this very hard to believe but assuming they are correct and need help with removing the file, they may be ignorant on who to contact or how to remove the file. I do not know where else to go for help.

I was able to retrieve information from Yahoo in order to pass this on to the organization in order to potentially solve my problem. It will be up to that group and person in charge on their Internet files to follow through.

I have had a Yahoo! email account for about 20 years. For all these years I did not have problems with this service, except long response time, until recently. Few days ago I looked into my Sent folder (both: web mail and mobile) just to find out that a total of 5 years of my emails, hundreds of them, disappeared from that Sent folder.
I could not delete those emails unintentionally, by mistake, as it would require at least an hour to retrieve all of them and then delete them. I am fully aware of what I am doing and just do not remember doing such a stupid thing.
From my perspective, being a Software Engineer for 30+ years, it could only be done by someone at Yahoo!. It was a pure Yahoo failure that those emails have been deleted.
I called the Yahoo! Customer Support and was offered two options:
      1. PAY for the recovery of those missing emails!
      2. File a service request online.
I CAN pay for my mistakes, no problems with that. But I CANNOT pay for someone's else failures. It was a pure Yahoo failure, that those emails disappeared, they should fix it a.s.a.p. and apologize for what they did.
When I tried to file the service request online I had only three options:
      1. Account was hacked
      2. Deleted accidentally from my web mail service
      3. Deleted accidentally from mobile device
I could not see an option: Deleted by Yahoo! - or - "Something else" and then a text field letting me to describe the problem.
The attitude of the Yahoo! agent who picked up the call (pay or do something that does not make sense!), the lack of possibility to describe the problem correctly indicates to me that this is just a perfect scam. Yahoo deletes emails from users accounts and then force them to pay for retrieving those missing emails.
I am a retired person and cannot afford to pay for the service. I also think that this is totally UNFAIR, even IMMORAL, to pay for someone else failures.
Please help me to resolve this problem and make Yahoo to retrieve my emails. Thank you!

I selected Yahoo email in ~ 2001 out of many free email services. They recently (9/17/2022) disabled the same password I have used for 20 years in order to force me to pay a monthly fee for tech support. After paying the first month I was allowed access to my account. But they told me that if I did not want to make payments each month I could quit the service. However the Yahoo website has no menu item for stopping this "service" and the monthly fee. I am currently trying to get my bank to block payment but that will also incur charges.

Yahoo is lying. They have not tried to contact me in any way and I did not expect them to. Yahoo has devised a way to extort money from its users and it will continue to do so until criminal charges are threatened.

Yahoo has continued to fail to put into place or fix software modeling issues to prevent SPAM in our email. This has been going on since Yahoo started selling Yahoo + email for a fee. I am only one of many users who have had a Yahoo mail account for decades, now faced with large amounts of SPAM that Yahoo could prevent but does not, hoping that I and others will subscribe to their pay service (Yahoo plus). In fact their algorithm is aware of the SPAM because when it is moved to the Spam folder, a popup window occurs advertising their subscription service. This is a horrible customer experience and Yahoo is well aware of it.

I've had issues signing into Yahoo mail in the past where I would need to enter my password multiple times in order for it to sign in. I know this isn't user error because it would happen in web browsers where I had the password saved and it would happen when I would copy and paste the password, therefore there was no possible way it was changing each time. However, when I was trying this again today, I tried to sign into Yahoo mail and was met with the same error twice, but on my third attempt it let me in and asked for a code send to my phone number which is in line with the two factor authentication I have set up. However, after entering it I was kicked me back to the sign in screen. After trying again I was met with the error " Uh-oh...We can't recover your account online because there are no other options on file for your account. "

This is completely false, I have my phone number set up as two factor authentication and as a recovery for a reason. I tried multiple devices and browsers and got the same error. The only way to get in contact with Yahoo is to pay them through their premium phone line for an issue on their end. This is borderline extortion as I have valuable accounts tied up with this email, and if I didn't still have it signed in with a web client on my PC, then I don't think I would be able to access my email.

I will be switching email providers immediately and I would advise anyone else to do the same.

Since yesterday I've been dealing with problems regarding my mail account from Yahoo. Yesterday, they required me to change my password after asking to go pass through the 2 factor verification. I did and after that, I simply just access my email.

My professional contacts, commercial emails, my whole life is there and Yahoo won't provide a way to help me. I've tried Yahoo Help Center, Tried Customer Care in Yahoo and and they just answer that the cannot help. And asked me to pay to have assistance. Isn't that illegal? Is a free service. If was paid, I'd never use their email server.

Please help me. I just don't what else I could to at least recover my emails to transfer to another free email provider.

      Many thanks in advance.

      Regards,
      ****************

On 09/08/2022 I received a suspicious message purporting to be from Yahoo mail asking me to verify my credentials because of I was using an oudated and expired version and I could lose access to my emails. I went into my account and found the Yahoo customer service phone number and called on the same day. I told the rep about the email, what it said, who it came from, and that I wanted to make sure it was from Yahoo. The rep said that it was from Yahoo because I needed to upgrade to Yahoo Plus. I believed her and entered my login credentials on the link. The next day I received an email on my alternate email address saying that an attempt was made in Nigeria to log into my account. A week later, my yahoo email address started mailing my contacts and asking them to buy gift cards for the daughter with kidney cancer of an unnamed friend. I received dozens of phone calls, emails and messages from concerned friends, family and acquaintances. It was very unproductive. I filed a request for help on Yahoo's website on 09/16/2022, but three days later, I have not heard from anyone. One would expect at the very least, that the employees of an ISP are trained to recognize spoof/spam/fraud when a customer calls in to report one. In fact, they should have an address so that users could send the suspicious messages to, like Paypal does. It is beyond frustrating.
